Can't go wrong with a Honda, I am wanting to do an AWD on my 8th generation civic si. I'm sure both Ethan's will guide you well on this and your supporters. I think the kit that Humble Performance sell is from a company called Hub City Performance, very well made but needs minimal fabrication. You will need to weld a bar to support the front of the differential whether it's a CRV/element or the expensive as hell wagon diff which If you are lucky to score a deal on a wagon diff if not the element/crv diff should be fine if you pin it and run a viscous coupler. If you do not have a strict budget, I would recommend beefing up the transmission and transfer case. I would recommend using a crankshaft from a k24a2 because the rod journal and rods are smaller on the other k24 variants,the k24a2 has Vtec on both intake and exhaust cams and oil squirter in the block from factory but since you are building the block and running forged parts that will not be needed. If you noticed, the k24a1 which comes out of a CRV has a flat girlde which makes it very easy to bolt up a RSX type S oil pump without having to notch it.

You're going to want a true vtec head for the build. The accord k24 only has vtec on the intake side. Get a tsx head with vtec on both sides, or a k20a2 head. And please put a proper turbo manifold on the single cam build instead of that junk cast manifold.

I wish I was friends with Evan man. It’d be so nice getting to talk to him about mental health and stuff. Talking to people about it is hard because everyone says “it’s all in your head”, Which can be debated but talking to someone that understands is much better.
Brother Evan haha. Your end of video speech hit home today brother. I have been going through that in my daily job. I use to complain about not moving up or not getting promoted. Last few months i have gotten 3 pro level certifications for my job and just got promoted haha. Sometimes you have to put your head down and grind to achieve your goals in life. It is a small step and the promotion did not yield a big raise to get that shop I want haha, but it comes in time. Advice is not about age, gender or anything like that. We should be able to learn from everybody. Thank you for the content and advice young Sir!

When I sent off my genesis coupe 2.0t block to the it took about a month to turn around. Just make sure you hot tank the block afterwards had a lot of shavings left in some of the passages.

Make sure build the drivetrain and drive line for future purposes so its one less thing to worry about when having fun !!!drag cartel makes a really nice transfer case gear upgrade!!

Love your channel evan. I have plans to make my rsx AWD. That said I've done alot of research. It will be cheaper or about the same to get a stand alone ECU like haltech or fueltech and newer electronics are better.

As a fellow k24 rsx owner I recommend building the bottom end and re doing the head with stock cams, it’ll start to act up after 450-500
99-00 front end is best looks fire. Also if your going awd go with the wagon rear diff they hold up to way more power then a crv awd setup

Css is not sleeving its cylinder support system they mill the water jackets and press in a perfectly matched support. The absolute best option for honda blocks only under to full sleeve replacement. My d16z6 sohc has one and I'm just over 500hp no issues

if you place a k24a2 head on your built bottom ends make sure you use a2 rods. the a4 and a8 rods will cause the pistons to smack the valves

Heads up I think to do the 99-00 front end on the 96-98 civics you also have to get a new radiator support it’s not just swapping fenders bumper and hood.
