People need to realize that Manchester Unitedâs core problems go beyond Erik ten Hag and just the manager. You just donât know whatâs going on with United from poor recruitment decisions spending too much money on players that arenât good enough for the club to a constant managerial merry go round and mess Itâs true that they can be doing much better under ten Hag especially with how good of a job he did last season and the money that theyâve spent with him as their manager and while heâs responsible for their recent results and his team selection choices, what more can the manager do. I know Iâve been critical of people who use the excuse that they have so many injuries and obviously that doesnât help, it highlights their lack of quality depth with their inability to properly cope with all of these injuries and not properly field your best lineup. Instead of people coming up with different excuses, itâs very obvious to many of us that this team is just not good enough and some of the players are bang average. Ten Hag has been backed heâs gotten the players that heâs wanted and his man management has come into question on multiple occasions with how the relationship between him and the players have easily broken down, but everything has gone so wrong for this team without any signs of the damage being fixed. Manchester Unitedâs problems havenât changed and there are things that have been persistent with them under previous managers. The environment around the club is absolutely toxic and itâs been nothing more than just a circus that keeps on going.
They have paid so much money on average players and thatâs gotten them in the situation where theyâre in right now as in the summer do you know how many players theyâre going to have to get rid of. Itâs not his fault that they have a lot of overpaid players or players who are just not good enough for the club and this has been the case with them. As a result of this, theyâve not been able to offload players because their value is much lower than what they initially paid for them and I think with the growing influence of Saudi Arabia in football over the last 18 months, they should be able to have a proper clear out this summer.
