Finally somebody who explained the difference between the 42 and 75 watt options. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I just found a Christmas present for myself!
LOL I bought the 75w jacket and glove liners on Sunday...for myself for Christmas!
Awesome gear and great demo.
If I want to also use the gloves, does it matter if I get the 42W or the 75W jacket. Since the gloves draw off the jacket (right?) does running the gloves reduce the output available from the jacket?
Great video except the heated socks were not mentionted
Are the leather gloves water /wind proof?
Just got this jacket off Amazon for an amazing price of 99 bucks and I'm assuming it was so cheap cause it didn't come with the included battery. Where can I get one? I don't see one anywhere from firstgear. I wanted the pant liner too but nowhere seems to have any stock. So I was forced into getting another brand
Where specifically are the heated elements on the pants? I have cold thighs and knees
Hello there, great video thank you. I did hear that only the higher end of first gear jacket comes with the battery option. I just bought the same jacket that you are reviewing. So that will also come with the battery pack??
This jacket does come with the power bank. You can check out 4:12 in this video where we talk about this and the other power option.
Has first gear come out with anything new since this video???
How do you wash it 😆
Is there a battery you can use for the 75W?
Yes. The standard one that comes with the jacket. It will just use the power quicker.
I didn't hear you say anything about the sock liners or the socks, they probably connect to the pants but do they have their own controller like the gloves do with the jacket?
The socks do not have their own controller.
@@rmatvmc hey there it's me again sorry for the aggravation, do they sell a kit like everything or something as far as the gloves the jacket the pants and the socks or do you just have to buy each individual one, I didn't know if they would do a discount or whoever would do a discount if you got a complete kit like two of them I was just curious
So does that mean the previous single and dual controllers won't work or aren't needed for these?
I'm not sure. We never tried to use the old controllers.
@@rmatvmc I had the same question. I have the newer jacket and gloves with the built-in controller however my pant liner is the older one. I need to run the controller trolley for the pants but can I also run the newer gear with the trolley and still use the dials on the trolley? Sometimes when I ride, I find it hard to reach down and search for the built-in controller buttons on the newer model jackets especially if I'm dressed in layers and the button doesn't stick out.
What are the power bank requirements for the 42 watt jacket liner?
You just want to have a powerbank with a good amount of milliamps. I believe Firstgear said that 10,000 will get you about 2 hours of usage. - Chase
@@rmatvmc thank you!
Rocky Mountain ATV MC do you sell the batteries?
when are they going to be back in stock 😫
Hopefully soon. Firstgear ran into some issues with manufacturing and are having a hard time giving an exact ETA for this gear.
@@rmatvmc need it asap riding in 34 below out here
I have a USB port already installed. Can I get a converter to use it?
USB ports are only about 15 watts, and not nearly enough to run this gear. You can use USB to charge the built in battery for longer run times.
