      @Terrence Lachlan i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now.
      I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

    Where can you buy the battery alone, I have the Firstgear 12/42watt jacket in liner.
    Thanks Steve.

    Great info. Thanks.
    I’m planning to get the battery powered vest.
    Not crazy about running all those wires.
    Or riding long in temps cold enough to need more.

    Been using first for 4 years... You can run the clove separate from the jacket.
    This is only an upgrade depending on what you like. With the controller I never have to look down to find the little buttons to know that everything is working. With the buttons you need to look for it.Well... at least they do provide a remote just in case you have everything under you otter garments (which is the way it should be) and unable to reach it.
    I find the dial controllers are the best system...easy to see and reach. And I ride with several people that have struggled to find the right heat settings. High, medium and low give you no room to find that perfect comfort level. IJS...

    What's the capacity of that battery?

    Pants are not meant to be used without pants on top them ?

    I can't find those gloves at any authorized dealer including J&P.
    Plus, how would those lower voltage liners fair in Canadian weather? About -20 celcius plus windchill?

    Would be great if you guys actually sold all of this. The pants, socks and battery are not sold on your site or are only in extra small sizes.

    Why would anyone want a 12 volt vest that ONLY runs off a battery???

    • @Jamesdade
      @Jamesdade Před 3 lety

      I only want it for the bike is the 12 volt not keep you warm?

      You can run either one of a 3S battery if you want, one just doesn't come with a battery. 12v is 12v no matter where it comes from bike or battery.

    So I ordered jacket with battery option. Ordered heated liner and socks as well as glove liners. Am I to understand I didn’t need to order the dual troller then? I could simply use the buttons on clothing to control heat, they were out of the cordless control but that might still be good option to control the liner if under jacket. Also. Could you not simply charge one battery while driving so always have it charged when off bike?

    • @jpcycles
      @jpcycles  Před 4 lety

      the dual troller will be handy for splitting up heat zones. Yeah, in theory you could charge the battery while using it. Just keep an eye on the battery heat

      J&P Cycles this is my corrected order - was just wanting to check if I should add anything needed. I decided to go with liner kit instead as I couldn’t find a portable batter listed for the other liner. If decreased wattage doesn’t provide enough heat I might purchase over jacket at a later time. Am I right in thinking the kit liner can either use the bike battery or portable battery?
