Well i have mine for 2 years now. 1.6 fsi
The check engine light is almost always on mainly its says its nox sensor. Other than that the car is doing fine.
Oil level is great. It is not very fast but fast enough for me.

I've been told by mechanics that the 1.6 is good overall while the 1.4 lasts approx 200-250,000km before the engine needs to be opened. Not sure about the validity but the 1.6 I have doesn't seem to need much oil at all after 260,000km on the odometer

Well if you want a very fast car golf 1.6 fsi is not one. But can it pull? yes. 115 hp is fast enough if you dont wanna go racing lol
In a 3rd gear its a real beast when i go overtaking a car. Not too fast but def not slow.
