Thanks mate, I haven't done a ride video for a while, but running 2 bikes with the same kits now. Just one with 48v battery and the other 52v battery and 1500w controller box from eBay.
Great eBike for Beginner
You would do yourself some good by wearing some protective gear young fella.
If you come off that thing doing 35 mph the 1st thing you do by instinct is put your hands out to save you and all that lovely tar and gravel is just waiting to flail the flesh from the palms of your hands or any other exposed body part.
I do know what i am talking about as an ex dirt bike rider and road bike user.
Gloves are at least the minimum folks as i know from so many skinned palms when younger and a friend who really landed hard on his palms actually ripped his so bad the whole palm was hanging like a bit of steak and that can happen in a hot second so please use safety gear folks.
This is an old video, I do wear gloves, padded trousers, several layers on upper body and a helmet. And as much as I'm flattered being called young man unfortunately I'm 45. Thanks for the comment and good advice though Brent.
@@EbikeRyder Haha i can still call you young man though...lolz.
I mean my bike goes as fast except It’s in the form of a bmx. So I try to pedal as much in the sidewalk as much as I can.
It’s just way too dangerous to be biking on round.

Nice 👍🏻
Light materials but works very well
I really love this video. I was wondering if getting that display required you needing another motor controller? I want to get one for my similar setup and wasn't sure if I'd also probably need a new throttle and stuff.
Both of my bikes were kits that included the display so I'm not too sure about compatability with other kits. You would have to have the right connections from the controller box for display. My kit is the Voilamart 1000w rear hub. With a 52v 20ah battery.
I’m building an e-bike with this kit soon, look out for the vids I will do a build video and tests etc
Will do man, good luck with the build!
On a bike going 20 mph is fast and serious need of riding safe over just speeding while in traffic. Going 25plus on a bike is insane for any sudden surprises of traffic can put you in a world of serious hurt. I got a 350 watt and planning to get 1000watt as Im riding it safe always maintain proper speed. Notice too when stopping you need 10 feet starting point of every 20mph. A car takes about same distance of speed so safe in mind of not over hyping enthusiasm when speeding...
Yes you're right, safety is paramount. I feel confident in riding the bike the way I do, but shouldn't encourage it. I do wear full safety clothing and helmet and plan on making a video showing all my equipment and two ebikes.
@@EbikeRyder I had to re do my disc brakes and went over scenarios of a need to stop in a slow motion way, do not want to jack knife, crash the bike at all. Safer than Sorry is better than getting parallelized or worst. Got a horn ( should get loud speaker of our HEY!!! Whats wrong with you !!! say, lol. Oh, Im new and got a GEAR brushless and I notice to ride it like a clutch with shift gears and 1 to 5 PAS. At 20mph and see my stopping point or to control momentum of speed as Down shifting a GEAR motor is cool as just like a clutch you have engine control when slowing or turning. Thanks for reply, very nice of you. Hope you can assist later.Ride safe like you do and ya vids helped.
I ended up getting a 1500 watt due to this video which curbed my enthusiasm of assurance of being able to speed off real fast when cars all of a sudden gets into bike s path, besides the thrills, lol. Front Wheel C- Kit using Next Power Climber Bike to counter the balance which works well with this frame. Using a 52.v 20 ah and it goes 42.mph and even climbed a very known Hill going 32mph. Yes, safety was always ahead of me of watching road ahead of them pot holes, hidden cracks, dips ect. I ease off every now and then unless a straightaway of no cars. Awesome, this video got me hyped and aware, saw a couple of cars almost pulling out as bikers are the ones they never see. Thanks for making this vid. took me a few years to get on the bandwagon. Hi paul!! Great video! Thinking about getting one these my self what sort of range does it do? Ill be on flat roads mostly its 7 miles each way to work im thinking of going pretty quick on the throttle all the way realy , what sort of battery do you have ? I am correct you have the voilmart 1000w?
Any help greatly appreciated
Hi mate yes I have the voilamart 1000w rear wheel hub. I have several batteries the main 2 are a 48v 20ah battery and a 52v 20ah battery. Both can do over 20 miles using throttle only. In terms of battery capacity it's the ah (amp hour) that determines the range, higher number further range. To do 14 miles a day a 15 ah battery should be plenty. Let me know if you need to know anything else.
Thanks alot Paul for response,,and keep up the GREAT videos,,truly awesome and amazing to see...,,Thanks again 🎩❤

I have a 1000watt 52v battery with a 48v controller I just ordered a 1500watt controller hopefully it makes my bike faster .
Added about 5mph to mine with same setup.
What is the model number for your controller and how did you delimit it? Thanks.
Hi mate, with the Voilamart kits that I bought, the controller can be switched between 250w and 1000w by plugging 2 wires together.
Hi Paul i have a 1000w 48v,if i pedal all the time my speed is about 14,5 mph,how many miles do you think i could travel on my full battery,i understand a lot of things, but some i can't understand after my Stroke, thanks
What's your battery type, wattage and amp hour capacity?
My battery is 48v 20ah, if I use pedal assist constantly I can probably get around 35-45 miles of range depending on what pedal assist level I use, but it all depends on your battery capacity.

Hi, can you tell me max range with that battery without using pedals? Thanks in advance
Hi I haven't done a full range test yet, but I have done around 14 miles without pedaling and still had some battery left.
Do you mind sharing which ebike kit you have chosen,,it's definitely getting the job done,,very nice video Paul 🎩
Hi Chris, it's the voilamart 1000w rear motor kit. On this video I was running it with a 48v 13.5ah battery. I'd recommend this kit as I now have 2 bikes with the same kit and both have done over 1500 miles and still going strong.

My dad got this bike I rode it myself at max and it’s MAD
It's fun, not gonna lie.
That things pretty quick. What kind of bike is it?
It's a schwinn mountain bike with a Voilamart conversion kit and 48v battery.
It's like a motorcycle really
Yes it's quite literally a cycle with a motor on it. Just electric instead of combustion.
Hello this looks so kl just subbed . What bike is this ? Can u get any e bike this style and upgrade the battery to boost mileage as I’m looking to buy one with a 30mile round trip and would be ok off-road round a lake. Any ideas on a bike ?
Hi Karl, both of my bikes are self built from kit, it's much cheaper than buying a pre-built and most pre builds are limited to 250w and 20mph. I'd recommend the voilamart 1000w kit, then you can put it on any regular mountain bike and choose your own battery. It's pretty easy to put together, just need a spanner and a couple of Allen keys.
Thanks for the info. What battery makes would u recommend or stay clear of ?
@@karlmclean2023 hi karl, i dont know about good brands for batteries because theyre mostly made in china and generally dont have recognizable branding on them. i have a triangle battery thats 52v 20ah from amazon for £360 and a back rack mounted one thats 48v 20ah from ebay for £320. both have worked fine with no issues. thanks for the sub by the way.
Yer that’s probably true with the batteries to be fair. I might get a 250watt and make it looks fairly legal and put 48v battery on it. I just want some range on it really. How long did the conversion take you ? Was it your first conversion
@@karlmclean2023 I've built 2 so far mate with a third coming in new year. The kit doesnt take long to put on the bike, my first build, after watching a couple of youtube videos, took about 2hrs. If anything waiting for the deliveries takes way longer. my second build was even faster.
Hey man, I have a 1500w voilmart e bike kit rear hub drive like yours. Mine only goes the same speed as yours though, it tops out at around 30. I am using a 48v 13ah battery, do you think that’s why it is lacking speed

@@meteor_vr9144 Hi I bought a 52v 20ah triangle battery from Amazon that fits inside the frame of the bike. its no longer available so I can't put the link here unfortunately. if you type "52v 20ah triangle ebike battery" into Amazon or Ebay there are similar ones still available though.
Does the bafang 1000 wt fit my cube aim sl please if you got experience help me for that 🙏
Hi, I've just googled your bike and although I can't find specific measurements for the crank, it does look to be a standard size like other mountain bikes so I'm not 100%, but best guess, I think it would fit ok. Hope this helps.
Hi sir my kit is voilamart 1000w but when I full the throttle or paddling consistently then my motor is stop working for little bit and the using watts comes to zero then Start working could you please tell me u face that kind of problems or not or my one is only doing like that
Hi Zia, no I haven't had this problem and I have 2 voilamart kits. It might be something in the settings that you can access through the lcd display if you have one. If you press and hold the up and down arrows for 3 seconds it will give settings P01 - P16. Also check the connection between the throttle and controller box, sometimes the small wires come loose at the connector. Are you using a 48v battery?
And check the settings I don't know about setting what to do
@@ziakhan3290 type into CZcams search "SW900 display settings" there are several videos that explain what each setting does and how to access them.
do you have to pedal from a standstill to get going? or can you simply just twist the throttle and it will go?
Hi Blaze, both my bikes have throttles so I can ride it like a moped if I want but I like to boost with pedals from a stop.
@@EbikeRyder thank you, and so in terms of torque, is the 1000w system torquey? because i ordered a 1500w kit and im hoping to do wheelies from a standstill but i fear insufficent torque because in every video i see people only use pedal assist. im about 72 kg and the bike is a lighweight mountain bike
@@haks_123 it's very much dependant on the battery voltage as much as your motor output at 1500w, I'm running a 1000w motor with a 1500w controller box and a 52v battery, I haven't filmed it yet but it does 40mph now. If you run a 60v or 72v battery on yours it would be a beast for torque and speed.
@@EbikeRyder oh nice, im going to be running a 48v 20Ah battery. but wouldnt over volting fry the controller and or the motor. well more of controller than the motor because the listing says strictly 48 volts.
@@haks_123 yeah unfortunately you would have to stick to it then, but if you can solder a few wires together, you could buy a different controller box from Amazon or eBay and it would be ok. You could buy a 2000w controller for around £70. It would run fine and take higher voltage battery, it will also boost your 1500w motor.
Hi Paul I have a ridstar electric bike 1000w motor 48 v battery do you know how to unlock it max I have gotten it to is 50kmph
Hi Felipe, I don't know your bike model but 50kph (31mph) is probably the limit of the motor and battery. I only got 32mph with mine at 1000w and 48v battery. I recently upgraded the battery to 52v 20ah and the controller box to a 1500w one, this increased my top speed to 40mph (64kph). I don't know if the battery or controller is upgradable on your bike though. I would suggest doing a self build from kit if you look to replace it in the future. Then everything is upgradable.
Are you using a 48v battery and what is the Watt hours or amp-hours? Thanks.
Yes Jack it's a 48v 20ah battery by Yosepower.
@@EbikeRyder Thanks Your top speed seems a bit better than a couple of Voilamart 1000 watt kits I've used with the stock 28amp 48v controller. I'm also not seeing 1100 to 1400 watts so I was thinking you might be running a different controller and possibly a higher voltage battery And was trying to guess what might be different about your bike that accounted for the higher performance.
I just tried running a 60V battery on the stock controller and the throttle seemed to fail after a couple of rides but is was a noticeable performance increase.
I recently rode a Vector Storm with the 1000w motor and a 72V 40amp controller and 72V battery and it was a lot of performance, almost 50mph top and very responsive on the throttle. Overheating did not see to be an issue either.
@@jackoneil3933 I haven't done anything unusual or different with the kit, that's just how it ran straight from the box. My motor has recently became noisy and there is a slight delay on the throttle so think either the throttle or motor are failing after 1000 miles.
Anyone help. I have a lankeleisi XF4000 fattyre ebike, it's got a 1000w motor and the battery is 48v 16ah battery. I have set max speed at 99mph. It only does 22mph using just the throttle, I expected a bit more speed, I understand that it's very heavy. Is there anything I can do to get it quicker?
Hi baz most pre built ebikes are limited to the legal road limits for ebikes(around 20mph). If yours is limited, it's done in the controller box, some can be hacked to take the limiter off, but this usually requires removing components from the circuit board.
@@EbikeRyder Thanks for taking the time to reply, it's my first ebike, I'm getting used to it now, 22mph pure electric and 26mph pedal assist. Nice one 👍

Hi Paul I have a 1000w 10.4 ah , and the same interface as yours .. how many miles would I get and would you know the charge time also how long do they last the batteries
Hi Ky if you just use the throttle you should get at least 10-12 miles, times that by 4 if using pedal assist. The charge time should be around 3-4 hours. If the 18650 lithium cells inside your battery are decent it shouldn't start loosing performance until between 5000 and 10000 charge cycles. Hope this helps mate, good luck.
