Maaateeeee! You are such a life saver! My garage said they didn't know how to fix my alarm going off. Just took to it with your video and 2 screw drivers and everything you said was spot on. What a G!
Mine did it once before 3 months ago and just started to do it this morning thanks dude I'll just un plug as I've go no leaks but still got warning msg so thanks dude 👍
@@Lee-At-Green-Pheonix-Rc probably won’t help anyone after 3 years but sometimes the wires going into the hatch from the roof get chafed and expose the wire my problem always happened after or during rain
Brilliant 👏 worked the same design on a Audi A3 09. 👍 just disconnected the plug, and the boot is still locked by the central locking. The alarm still sets. Neighbours happy.
I have a AUDI A3 8P1 2004 model and i have this problem, boot light is on with door closed and no rear washer, and all these problems start after trying to clean rear window! Thanks a a lot its very helpful this video (i am sorry for my English!!)
Hello! While I was able to repair my washer fluid hose and boot open sensor following your guide, my boot open warning light is semi-turned on and gets fully turned on as soon as I either turn on the interior lights and/or open the passenger side door. Any clue as to what else could be wrong? Driving a Mk4 Golf Variant(aka estate/wagon). Also thank you for this video!
@@aaanton11 apparently, the issue resolved itself. What do you recommend i do now? Just check for a leakage anyway? And the boot light doesnt turn on anyway for some reason.
@@aaanton11 I thanks for the reply, I’ve already checked them both had one wire that had split insulation but hadn’t snapped so it used bit insulation tape on them it’s still saying the same thing on the dash rather annoying
Sweet dude cheers for getting back to me mines doing it but no leaks just gonna unplug it might be a faulty swith but not paying 40 notes wen I'm getting a mk2 fl octavia vrs In a few months it not doing it now on the way to work it was ten hours later it's sound working normal

sounds like the rear boot switch still has an issue possible chafed wire in the boot hinge loom, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
So its happening to others too..
Oh yes 🙈thanks for the great comments 👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Thank you I will check it
Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 It worked. My problem was not leaking but a loose (poor quality) connector on the lock side.
Great stuff mate, a question though, would i still be able to lock the boot with the remote after disconnecting the electric connector?
yes the boot locks but the boot light wont come on when opened, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I've sorted the leaking pipe out but not sure where the sensor is on my a3. Any help?
It’s in the same place as this golf, in the boot catch 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey I unplugged my boot sensor but now I have no use of my hatch. It's now not receiving power. Is there any run around for this?
Sounds like you unplugged the wrong connection, was it the one on the latch you popped off? 🛠
Heres an odd one for you,I have disconnected the plug and the warning is still going off,any ideas please
is the connector plug corroded, or the wiring loom in the hinge might have split causing a short Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Which part of the boot liner is the wire which can be disconnected contained inside? the boot lid or the boot itself. TIA
It passes up by the hinge, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
Yo mate is it the electric connector thats on the boot to stop the warning?
yes, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
I haven’t got an alarm issue I’ve got it saying that the boot compartment is open when it’s not I’ve disconnected the wire but it still doing it
You might have a broken wire in the boot hinge loom, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Where's the fuse for the boot lock sensor or the fuse for alarm as this is not working for me
