Thanks, the 5th method of hitting the dot and opening the handle actually worked!
Thank you too for the feedback!
And when that doesn't unlock the door, it's a world of pain.
Thnx mate. Tapping near the door handle and unlocking at the same time did the job. Seat Ibiza 2004.
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for your video. 6min marked helped me with flicking lock back over by pulling door handle.
Thank you too for watching!
2012 Nissan Altima- My door was frozen shut, as it wouldn't shut as it was frozen so I locked it and shut the door. Wouldn't open after so I tried tapping while unlocking with Key fob and it worked! Thanks
Thanks! A combination of everything worked like a dream!
Thank you for the feedback!
It is adequate to disconnect the negative terminal.
(I'm an electronic technician).
How if the car is grounded solely threw the negative battery cable
Lifesaver. 3 taps on the door handle and my 2003 Audi TT door came unlocked. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your feedback!
Thanks you very much for your explanation, you juste save my life today ! Mille mercis de France !
Thank you too for the feedback!
Ur a lifesaver thank you! I only needed to bang on the lock... That I didn't think of doing that lol
Thank you for the feedback!
Back door wouldn't unlock so banged on it then managed to open with the remote key but after this it refused to lock. Tried disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and after reconnecting battery it's working perfectly.....thanks for the info TOP MAN 😊👊
Thank you too for the feedback!
I was sceptical that punching the door would fix it but it absolutely did. I may have slightly dented it in my frustration though 😂. Thanks for the video, I was expecting this to be a bigger hassle than it was.
Thank you too for the feedback!
same it works
Have you worked on the 3 dr? Mine is not working the left hand passenger
Thanks for your advice I managed to open the door 🙏
Thank you too for your feedback! 👍
Thanks buddy, banging the outside of the door, whilst constantly pressing the unlock button on the key fob, and repeatedly pulling at the inside and outside handles (all at the same time) worked for me 👌
Thank you too for the feedback!
Just used this method worked on 1st try. Thank you guys
@@EastsideLo thank you for the feedback!

@@AndreyNechaevAndrewz Thank you for the feedback!
Brilliant tutorial!
Thank you for your feedback!
Tell me, there is a bora 2001. Doors won't open with key or alarm. With the key, the thrust rises and that's it, you release the key and it goes back. If I lower one glass, it falls by itself, just need to remove ducktape, then from the inside will I be able to open it or will it be like with a key, just raising the thrust, but without opening it?
Does it immportant how remote key looks or it's immportant that he works on 433mhz? I find one who looks different then original but he have 3 button and he works on same frequence could I buy him or not?
Dear sir I have a 2007
Diesel 1.9 Octavia I’m told I need a door module as my doors will lock with my key fob but won’t unlock with the same fob! Are they difficult to replace? Thanks.
Ciao ho lo stesso problema con una Seat Ibiza 3 serie del 2005 la anteriore di destra non si apre , dici che dovrei riuscirci con uno di questi 7 modi?

Thanks for the tutorial!
My passenger side will sometimes unlock, sometimes it won't. Does this mean the control module is on its way out so should I repair this?
Thank you too for the feedback! Yes, you should replace the door lock module.
Thank you very much.
Thank you too for watching!
how did you remove the revet that hold aluminum panel to a window mechanism
What year Golf Model are you dealing with?
Excellent video. I have a Mk.5 golf with the drivers door stuck closed. Can I remove the inner door card in the same way shown in this video? If so is it possible to get to the lock from the inside of the door to unlock it as shown?
No, you can’t reach the lock from inside. Watch this video to understand more clearly: czcams.com/video/AqFyirbnB2g/video.html
Have you got yours sorted mate cos ive just got a mk5 golf with exact same drivers door wont open at all
@@connorheaton5158 Yes. Eventually… I worked out that I couldn’t remove the inner door card so the door had to be opened. In the end I took it to my local garage and they broke in for me. They literally smashed / destroyed the door lock with a chisel / screwdriver working through the gap between the outer skin and the window when it was fully lowered. Once the door was opened I fitted a new door lock I bought from Autodoc. This was straightforward as I could remove the outer skin with the door open. When I got the skin off the old lock mechanism was literally in pieces. I hope this helps. Good luck!
Thanks man! You saved my butt from exiting though the passengers door with the second solution!
Thank you for the feedback!
Bang the area works! Thanks

Hi,
My polo battery is dead so my remote will not work in that case and apart from that when i use the key to enter only the driver seat door is locked and unlocked the rest of the doors are unlocked they dont get locked.
Can anyone please help me, I can't remember where to attach/connect the door lock knob/pin that goes up and down, to the exact same car this gentleman is working on, a vw polo 2004 sdi 9n. Thankyou in advance.
Hello! Maybe this video will help you (at 9:28): czcams.com/video/-5txkAvFlOc/video.html
I try to move the door lock mechanism that part up. but that part will auto down. can not move it up. what can I do?
So the thing what you use the T20 to screw loose the lock cylinder did fall down for me… don’t know what it looks like and can’t find it. Help me out plz? What does it called and what does that part look like?
Same happened to me. I'm afraid you're kind of stuffed! Even if you found it (a small brass screw) it would be almost impossible to put back in.
I solved it by just replacing the whole entire door. You only have to take the wiring connector off and the 4/6 hinge bolts and you've a new (from a scrap car) door!
After trying all of the above on a mk4 front right door lock actuator that was throwing fault code “Communication intermittent” and that was unable to lift mechanically and “stay lifted”, I decided to RUN THE ENGINE and voila, the door unlocked after pressing keyfob unlock.
Must have been the extra juice from the alternator vs fully charged battery?
Thank you for the feedback!
Hey thanks for all these tips… btw none of them worked for me as the two levers can’t be reach being against the door body…(right rear door module) anyway my tip if nothing works :
Feed a 12v power source to number 1 pin on the module and connect the ground to number 2. Motor got a reaction and happily and with great relief the door opened !!
The thing is my problem may have to see with a wiring problem … anyway thanks
Great tutorial, thanks, nut I am still stuck.
The rear doors on my 2004 VW Polo does not unlock and I cannot open the door panels as the doors are permanently locked. The two front doors work fine.
Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.
Thanks a million.
Pull outside handle, in the gap that opens up there's a small square piece of plastic. Flick this open with a small screwdriver this will disconnect cable. You should be able to open door from inside now but it won't fix the problem, this will still need looking at but at least you should be able to open the door to investigate the issue.
@@paulh6587 thanks Paul. I've done that ... zero effect 🥺
Doors remain locked.
@@AndrevanTonder67 try pushing inside handle to locked position then open "if you haven't already tried"
You managed to open?
@@allround8056 unfortunately not.
I have a problem with my Opel Astra J 2010 driver door... I removed the manual door lock for repair and the door handle... I drove for a while and the car loocked all doors automatic. Now the door do not open inside or outside. Now with the door closed I can't remove the door panel to reach the loocking mechanism from the inside. Anyone have some sugestions ???
How can open the car banet to open battry
Thanks for this. Really helpful. However...when I push the plastic rocker part it springs back down. Even if I push the plastic thing up and try the door, no joy. For the life of me I cannot get this plastic to move up and stay up. It just springs back down. Driving me crazy. 🤦♂️
I have the same issue, let me know if you fixed it.
There is a metal part underneath this plastic thing (connected to each other), that metal should be moved up with the plastic part so you only need a screwdriver to force that metal to move up with the plastic thing , hold it upwards and get someone to pull the door handle and it will open 👌🏻
How would you remove the door panel if the door is locked shut
That is my problem here
You have to do it from inside the car. It’s easier if you take the backseats out first
Sameee my audi a3 is a pain it ain't opening
Well, this isnt really a true to life tutorial, but yes, both the front and backdoor screws are somewhat possible to be removed, from experiance, it takes around 10 mins to feel your way around for screws
hi I have Passat b5.5, when I lock it will make noise like the beep and when I lock no beep, and when I lock the lights flash but when I unlock no lights flash
Hi! Probably you have to check your car settings using a dyagnose tool like VagCom (VCDS) tool.
Very good tutorial. My Problem however is related to power.
1. Both the window regulator and the door locker of the back left passenger door are not responding.
2. No indicator light on the window up/down switch either. The only thing that is working is the speaker.
3. I checked ground (Br-wire) and positive (Red & white) both are good.
4. There is power on the window regulator terminals, But it just won't take orders from me 🤔
What do you think?
Thank you for watching! You have to know that the drivers door lock module is responsible for opening (electronic) all the doors, so you have a problem with it or you have some problems with comfort module.
@@Servicetutorials I was hoping you would say that. I thought about that. CCM is ok. Probably some oxidization on the connectors of the driver door. I'll check it. Thank you.
@@Servicetutorials Hey I have just solved the problem. I tested the driver door, with a working door unit and that was not the problem either.
However one of the can-bus wires (high or low) was cut off just inside of the rubber boot of the problem door. reconnected that and voila!
So the door module needs both can-bus high & low connected to it, just to do its basic functions. I thought you might want to know.
@@konquer247 Thank you for your feedback! 👍
This might be useful when you can get into the engine compartmewnt but useless when the whole key/deadlock isn't working even with the indicators blinking when I press the key fob...no manual key hole, either
I have used wire from outside to pull the white plastic up door was open
Yes... Make sure to disconnect both battery terminals. Just doing one isn't enough because electrons can invisibly jump a single gap of any distance. But if there's TWO GAPS then they don't know where to jump and your safe....
🤣🤣🤣
Are you kidding?
ay bro I locked my key inside the car please help me, how can I open the car
how to open a bonnet if the door is locked?
What about the passenger side?
what about dead lock no open
My passenger door is stuck closed. I arrived to the point of having access with the scrub driver to the plastic unlock mechanism. What is different from your movie is that the plastic unlock once pushed is returning to the default lock position. I believe is from the electronic module which is stucked closed. I was hoping that your solution will bypass also the electronic stuck problem.
I have the same problem, did you find the solution?
Me too I have same problem it doesn't matter how hard I push it, it comes back to it default position. On this video he push it easily and it doesn't comes back as mine. Please help
I have the same problem, did you find the solution?
Same problem, got to end of video and tried all the methods and no luck. It sounds like the same problem
I’m still digging all the CZcams for this “mysterious” issue that no one so ever mentioned how to open a stuck door that stuck Electrically with “safelock” NOT only mechanical issue!
My mk 4 golf all doors jammmmed cant get into car tried key even spare no luck any other ideas how to get the doors opened
Break window, remove door panels from inside ( very tricky and hard ), And try to access the door mechanism manually, this is a shity problem tbh and many cars have that. And it's ton of work and literally if you don't own a garage might aswell just sell a car for a guy who can fix that
my door stuck locked cant open it neither from the outside or inside ..also the pin dont move more then 1mm up or down so cant unlock the dam thing
I failed a car inspection just because of my right rear door wud not open!!
I was suffering for 3 months....
These are all on front doors. Why does no one do rear doors!
JUST PULL OUT THE CENTRAL LOCK FUSE..........
Thank you for the info!
yea frustrated right now, "why" does that stupid lever lock like that & why is it so difficult to get to. i have the card off with the door closed as i was putting a new card on. now doors locked "&" the window doesnt function, but it did before. i know why i didnt buy vw until i was 56, you dont get smarter with age... if you have any answers for this please do.
banged passenger door lock once it opened. tried a door switch from new drivers side card, it opens both windows, just strange the new one was faulty & the old one stopped functioning. pretty happy kind of temp fix but getting closer.
👏🥃👍
Shit, i really wait 10 sec for that.
This is a nonsense what happens when the door will not open from the inside or the outside
Same position here, and the wire to open it from the outside snapped out and its useless
Have the same problem. Central locking is not working correctly & the key will not open the driver's door. No doors will open. Advice on how to open the driver's door would be appreciated.
I bang outside the door so I can open the door so many times ! I do not understand what causes this behaviour ! Also, when I lock with the electronic key, the driver door does not lock whereas all others do ! I have to lock it by inserting the key in the door ! I do not understand that magic ! 🪄
You have to replace the door lock module.
