It is a very good presentation,really good, the module design and
engineering is further more then whats is need for its application;to
lock and unlock a door with electronic control... the mechanism and
parts are to fine and well designed to do its job simple lock and
unlock doors. There is simple way to do the same job with less parts
and simple engineering,but there is always the long road and the
short cut.
Just followed this step by step and replaced my door lock modules without any issues, good guide, thankyou!

Thankyou TUTORIALE AUTO, I still can't attach the actuator rod/pin whilst the lock is connected to the door, what tool do I need to remove the star shaped screw from the front of lock please, I don't think I can attach the actuator rod/pin whilst the lock is still attached to the door panel. Many thanks great video.

For those getting new tools, the 2 bolts holding the whole module are called XZN, not the usual Torx. Don't use Torx for those or you'll probably "screw" the bolts.
Yes, you have the reason, isn´t the Torx tool, you have to use Triple square or Bristol tool, M6 or M5 mm, I don´t understand why people make videos and say wrong information, causing damaging your job, and make you spent lots of time and money..
Indeed he used XZN m8, but he said torx xD but the tool has 12 pans and not 6.
he said "triple torx" which should get the diy'er the right part at the store.

But it is not necessary to remove the window motor, it is a complete unit.
You do not have to remove the window. it is enough to push it up and fasten it to the frame with adhesive tape. 😉
Hello! You can not push up the window if you don’t remove the window motor.
@@Servicetutorials yes but you can connect the window switch to operate the motor till you align the two screws to disconnect the window and just attach it with adhesive tape like he said...easier than removing window+rail+tweeter etc

You are right. He should have drilled the pop rivet instead of breaking the plastic holder.

my driver side is not attached to the tin, but it looks like the passenger side is. did VW do this or could the previous owner may have swapped different years

The title is in English but the instructions are in some other language. Certainly there's a little/tiny amount of English subtitles. Maybe you should put the title in same language. Or more subtitles.
Just followed this guide to remove and fit new door lock module but now the door won't lock, not even with fob or manually with key. Any ideas why?
h4mza786 You have to be sure that door lock module has to be unlocked before you fit on your car.
same for me, nothing is working now.
how do I check if it is unlocked?

You broke the plastic piece where the pop rivet is connected... Not wise to follow this tutorial...
