Luther's voice was FLAWLESS!!! How in the world did he have perfect pitch always? Never a bad live performance!!!! I miss you Luther and you will forever be loved!!!
Well said! Luther....he only needed one name. That man was amazingly gifted and will forever be missed. He will stand alone as the best R&B / Soulful artist ever because no one has come close to his talent and never will. Happy I got to see him twice in concert but wish it was more. I'll have those memories forever! Thank you Luther, RIP.

Well he was wrong and not know for being intelligent , Frank Sinatra was told to quit when he started out hard work and an open mind can change things. I agree about the modern day singers but thats because modern music is a quick fix in all aspects apart from the mix.
@@wild7279 He wasn't wrong, everybody who can speak can obviously sing however that does not make everybody a singer of note. Pay attention to his word choice, the man was clearly intelligent and he knew exactly what he was talking about.
Yes, he would be disappointed nowadays. I studied Music in college and there were 4 tone deaf people who really thought that they could sing. It is a very rare talent.

Especially given that 99.9% of his songs were about love and romance. That was his strength and focus in terms of subject matter musically. You never if ever heard him sing a song about politics or anything outside of love ballads. And it's almost as if his speaking voice is completely different from his singing voice. His singing voice would sing about ballads while his speaking seems to go in many directions and speaks about anything but love and romance. He would dodge talking about love fearing that it would intrude his privacy and love life. And so in place of that, he talked about his career and singing techniques and the idols and influenced him.
