Especially given that 99.9% of his songs were about love and romance. That was his strength and focus in terms of subject matter musically. You never if ever heard him sing a song about politics or anything outside of love ballads. And it's almost as if his speaking voice is completely different from his singing voice. His singing voice would sing about ballads while his speaking seems to go in many directions and speaks about anything but love and romance. He would dodge talking about love fearing that it would intrude his privacy and love life. And so in place of that, he talked about his career and singing techniques and the idols and influenced him.

I'm so enlightened by this particular video because of a truth that is very familiar to me; the entertainment industry is very brutal. One really must be prayerful and tenacious, to say the least, to make it. The key ingredient as noted by Mr. Vandross is talent; either you have it or you don't. I thank God for his life. He left an enduring legacy via such media as CZcams. Thank you for posting them. Death has no power over his legacy and the messages he left for anyone willing to hear and learn. Freddie Jackson is gay too, and like Luther he won't admit it publicly. It will hurt sales to the female audience, I guess.

Johan Nilsson : The fact that Luther was gay would not have changed the way I felt about him and his unique music and his person. As a huge fan of his I`m very saddened by the fact, he couldn`t live his private life as any other. I do believe not the female audience was the problem but his managers/revord ompanies, and this is an even greater scandal.

Look he was gay and open to friends who kept it private. Even Aresnio Hall who was a friend said Luther was gay but was not going to talk about it. He neither confirmed or Denied it. I mean no straight man does not deny being gay. After his death some friends confirmed he was gay and never really had a good relationship.

I love all of Luther's music. But yeah, he was obviously gay. Just watch the video. His full gayness starts to come out at 2:38, especially at 2:46 and for the rest of the video..
