    Man watching this seeing Whitney & Luther knowing that both of them are now gone. It's so sad these legendary icons are not here with us anymore but of course the music lives on. Rest in peace Whitney & Luther.

    I think whitney said it best, basically that as long as it's not affecting his health it doesn't matter. It's so cool how she supported Luther so much.

    I'm so sad that are all our legends are gone, Luther had a mind blowing voice from another dimension, absolutely extraordinary voice, he is and will always be a legend and icon, my mom played his music all the time and growing up, still does.....just imagine the music in heaven now or where ever they are. I can't help be a little jealous and envious what kind music they have in the aftelife...music from Michael Jackson, Prince, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Barry white, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, Patsy Cline, Buddy Holly, Teddy Pengrass, Richie Valens, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrixs, so meny icons...the concerts in the afterlife...are the greatest ever...they would put any concert to shame today. We have lost true iconic greats, that I was privileged to have been around to see and lived to see them perform at there very peak and watch them with awe on television. I remember my mom took me at age 4 to see Marvin Gaye, before he was tragically taken away and I got to see Michaels Jackson and Prince at their music heights, including Whitney Houston. There world is so different without them.

    newcreature2011 .... it's not that he's not talking about it, but he's not disclosing it to the public, which is cool with me (except that I actually care about Luther is doing). I think artists nowadays share way too much information.
    Like TLC said: "Ain't none of yo business" what I do, worry about yourself and I think that's the mindset that Luther had.
    People can lie to everyone, but themselves. So, people can dodge questions about their lifestyles as long as they know *inside themselves* what's what and feel comfortable not saying too much, too little or anything at all.

    DIONNE WARWICK is soooo right! Fans LOVE Luther at any size. It's a shame the emphasis entertainment puts on LOOKS when there is NO LOOK that can surpass TALENT. Now we have a bunch of thin NO TALENT. How sad for music fans:(

    • @jollysincere
      @jollysincere Před 9 lety

      2dasimmons Dionne Waricke,was not right! she was if anything a "fair weather" friend. She was only concerned with his talent. If she had been a real friend, she would have seen the dangerous roller coaster he was on.
      Maybe,just maybe,he would still be around. This is a classic example where an entertainer is surrounded by yes men & women......as long as he has the talent,they don't give a damn about anything else......a child could have seen Luther Vandross, was not healthy. His cries for help......went unheard,even though many in his inner circle, were only feet away!....shame on all of them.

      @2dasimmons Před 8 lety

      No, Luther had said that he didn't care what he had to do to lose weight. He always would have his voice despite his size and he would always have his admirers no matter what he looked like BUT He wanted to be a certain size. Patti LaBelle, Dionne Warwick, Nancy WIlson, etc. loved him no matter how slim he was. Luther was a handsome man. I think the being slender is more of a homosexual thing, even a white thing where it's said one can never be too rich or too thin. Nonsense. ONLY!

I thought the same thing about 05 Whitney, but you can hear that her voice was not quite as raspy as it was in 2005. Nice seeing a fellow Whitney fan btw... Curious Question: How does choosing not to talk about your private business stop you from being your true self? Why would you reduce a man's self-identity to his sexuality? Is your identity reduced to who you sleep with? Do you feel it is anybody's business who or what you enjoy sexually and that you're not fully yourself until you have made your sex life public knowledge ?? Are straight people who don't go around telling everybody they're straight not being their true self either? Help me out
