#Warhammer #MauganRa #Aeldari - Zábava
I had a ton of fun with this one 😁Set the reminder for the premiere and DROP a LIKE to boost the video! See you later😘
The most criminally underrated youtube channel on the hobby circles. Your methods just makes everything so much more enjoyable and actually cheaper and more effective.
Always the most fun painting channel out there.
😁😘😁
Best technicals and colour use of any painter on CZcams. It’s a crime he doesn’t have more subscribers. I look forward to your videos every release!
I think you are one of the most inspiring painters out there. I just love your outside of the box thinking, introducing techniques from different creative crafts and your reflection of cost vs benefit. I learn constantly from you. Thank you so very much!
This is my new favorite painting style
Right eyebrow: raises
That was extraordinary and the result, whilst not as realistic as I normally try to create, the effect is stunning in it's own kinda box art but much better style
I need to print an army of ghosts, skellys and vampires to paint in specifically this style and a winter environment.
This is just as striking as the gladiator bust, both are so different to look at but equally striking
*_This is great work, as always. Suddenly it all made sense when the longer dark lines appeared on the cape._*
*_I'd love to see you paint a "mirror surface", or "mirror armor"._*
Surely this would be the same concept as NMM no? With a bit of reverse OSL for reflections?
Marco is just a class of its own. Keep it up maestro!
😁☺️😁😘
I love the teaching of how to use the drawbacks of different materials and techniques to your advantage, rather than trying to fight them.
Beautiful, and inspiring work, as always.
got him sitting in a box on my desk, thanks for the great timing, Marco!
love it. always inspired by your videos
Another model I now need to buy. Stunning work as always, Marco :)
This is beautiful!
Great work Marco, this is the second time you’ve seriously tempted me to try out oil paints!
Every time I see the preview I always get so excited
😁🤩😁
A fantastic result!
I do love these videos.
Stunning work as ever
Marco, you're a legend my friend... very nicely done bro!! LOVE IT!!
Coincidentally, I was just experimenting doing the same method with oil over a value sketch so this is quite helpful to see.
Finally someone's talking about temperature! Warm shadows and cool highlights make such a difference. Great job mate!
You are a magician!
A magician of paint!
I love your work so much!
Another masterpiece. Marco, I feel like I heard a subtle, but present sigh when you said ‘eavy metal technique on the rifle. Bless you sir.
you really inspire me to keep painting bro, amazing work as always
I'm excited for your future work with oil paints. It's a medium I've grown to love but I am struggling with certain aspects, like as you stated, texture.
You are an absolute master. There's not a single video of yours that doesn't teach me something. Thanks a lot.
As vibrant and cheerful as always. It's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Thank you again for sharing your position, ides, opinions and tricks!
I have a model primed and ready to go. Gonna give a go using this method this weekend.
Marco, you inscrutable enigmatic paint slinger, thank you for yet another awesome video :)
Marco you the man!!
I LOVE IT!!!
Looks gorgeous, Marco. Nice one 👍🏻
Listening to you speak really reminds me of my grandad Angelo.
Really looking forward to it Marco
😁 See you later 😉!!!
After 6 years of painting for myself, friends and commission, I am starting to paint with oil. I am super excited to try something beyond just washes. Thanks Marco for inspiration!
5:52 Love it that you showed the back of the tubes, so we can see what pigments are in the paints! Would be great if you make that a habit!
Thanks! I always make the two shots for oils!
I picked up some CMYK acrylic gouache after your dwarf slayer video and enjoy using it. Might have to pick up some other commonly used colors too.
Great video as always! The pallet when you switched to acrylics just made me think of painting eggs for easter :P
Every time I watch one of your videos I measure the rest of the way I have to go 😄 Amazing as always, great job.
The techniques featured in this video would be very suitable for Nighthaunt models.
Oh yeah they would be great with this style!
!!! Marco, you fabulous bastard !!! Watching you paint is like watching my favorite team win a championship! I seriously have to fight the urge to cheer!!! In the alternate reality where I have endless free time, I'd copy all of your paint jobs as teaching exercises. In this current reality where I have a job and a family, I just try to soak up and apply what I can. Didn't you just have a little one?
Damn Marcos, I love you. I remember saving up my money when I was a kid to buy the metal Magun Ra, I would paint and strip and paint him again.
The texturing looks like a huge time investment, but it really takes the overall finished product to the next level.
Excellent as always. I really want to see you tackle something like Mortarion, or a big Tyranid monster!
I have been using those acrylic gouaches since they made their first appearance here ages ago, and I love them so much. Feel validated seeing them reappear here again lately. (HA! Editing this bc I just hit the bit where you reference them directly!)
Magnificent!
this is great. I hope you will paint more large monsters too in the future. I'd also love to see how you paint gem stones in detail!
Great video Marco!
Your skills and creativity are unique and they never stop to impress me!
I’ll be painting my Maugan Ra soon and interesting enough..I wanted to base it with snow as well 🤣
I’ve got the liquid frost from GSW, what did you use for yours?
Again, brilliant work and keep at it because..SPACCHI!!! 🤟🏻
Great job as always!
I would like to see how you paint the Avatar with the particularity of the brighter recesses due to its incandescent body. Your approach to this condition would be really interesting!
Great video and amazing work! You make it look so easy and effortless.
I’m new to miniature painting and was wondering if you would have any suggestions on what paint to start with? There are so many options right now it’s overwhelming trying to figure out where to start.
Who needs contrast paints when you have oils and Marco:)
Wonderful video as always! You have by far the best miniature oil painting videos. I am always tempted to detail with acrylics over oil paints like you do here, but have always read the acrylic paint will crack and flake if I do that. Is there something special you do to stop that from happening?
Thank you so much and keep the great videos coming!
Do you have a video of how to do a black cloak or black clothing in general like this ? Would it work? Love this model and your style.
I’ve picked up a Harlequin Shadowseer, the box artist has thrown down one helluva gauntlet with their interpretation. Got me thinking, I’d love to see you tackle and put your spin on Harlequins/Shadowseers/Death Jesters!
That looks amazing. I've started using oil paints after watching your channel for a while.
I have one question. Are oil paints with cadmium suitable for this style of painting, or are the to opaque?
Hello Marco,
Your work is excellent and very inspiring. Could you tell us how long you wait before you start to clean the model from oils?
I have the same question.
Be honest, Marco... If you were at a convention, and someone said they were subbed to you, you'd give them a HYUGE hug if asked. :D
Or even if they weren't subbed. :D
Hahahaha I've already done it more than once 😅😂😅 even without being asked 🤣
Thanks again for great guide vid! Do you have a plan for making a vid using Alkyd resin paints? I found these paint types, like Kusakabe Aqyla paint, exists recently. They say it's between Acrylic - Oil and have both advantages. I'd like to see you using and experimenting these! Have a great day!
Wow amazing as usual! Did you tint the snow? Model is dark and you managed to not bring a harsh contrast between the model and the pure white of the snow
You cant really learn a thing until you explain that (to us)! We need (demand) video about washes - we have our stuff that needs washing! =)
What beautiful figure and you make it look so easy.
Great video Marco as always! May I ask, are normal W&N oil paints ok or do you recommmend the artist line for these effects? Thanks!
Hi Marco, great video at usual. I was using oils as foundation for a similiar piece (The Ancient One from Marvel Crisis Protocol, a pretty boring miniature with a pretty boring tunic) and now acrylics for a little bit of texturing. Just a quick question: how much time passed between the application of oil paints and their "removal process"?
From what I get from the video, laying down the oils and buffing them down all happened within roughly an hour of work.
im sure you have probably covered this before but how do you find the liquitex acrylic paints? ive only used the black and white but havnt ventured into colours yet, love your videos and sad i missed out on your painting class in dublin. maybe ill get to your next 1 =)
How do you decide whether to use a layer of contrast paint (e.g. the hair) vs leaving the underpaint (e.g. the cloak) before the oils step?
I guess it's about the choice of colour and what hue the respective area is supposed to be at the end.
I can only summarize as: Woow
Hello Marco, are you ever going to continue the "painting space marines my way" series ?
Oh yeah for sure! I'm collecting interesting "non canonical" marines to make the videos more exciting 😉I'm just waiting to have a good "safe net" of sculpts and topics!
This is such a great paint job! Always fun to watch :)
One question, though: which white spirit are you using? I use Sansodor from Windsor and Newton and it takes ages to evaporate or dry, respectively. Am I using the wrong stuff or is it the environment I am painting in (basement)?
Its incredible isn't it. I wish I was brave enough and had enough experience to try painting to this level. I started painting last may so I'm still trying to master the basics, oil painting on miniatures is probably a couple of years away for me 😂
Amazing as always Marco !!
May I ask how long do you wait between applying the oil paint and "removing it with a sponge" ? Because when i do almost everything go with the sponge and when i see you, its like almost everything stays. I might do it too soon.
Cheers mate !
I think he's said in past vids, about 30 minutes wait time'ish.
@@aaajjworm Ok thanks maybe i'm a tad too fast then i'll try that !
Every time I see you working with an airbrush I think I need one too ; ). My hobby space is in one corner of our living room. Would it be possible to use an air brush in the living room? Would a foldable spray booth be enough safety? I would be grateful for some pro tips : )
Grandissimo Marco. Sempre video fantastici. Thanks a million ;)
Hello, tell me what is that sponge ? Btw nice job realy nice job ;)
you are to versatile.
How long one should wait after airbrushing inks to apply the oils layer?
How low a pressure are we talking, Marco? Also, how long do you normally let oil paints sit before wiping them away? I have a terrible time getting it just right so that I don't scrub it off altogether! So you can let oils sit overnight before starting in with acrylics, then? I need to use my oils more often, I think, and any input is welcome, there. Good show as always, sir!
Ciao Marco, lavoro fantastico, davvero! Ho una domanda, dopo quanto tempo inizi a togliere il colore ad olio con la spugnetta? ho provato e se inizio dopo 10/15 min il colore mi viene via tutto...
Hey Marco, but really, would that be a crucial difference for adding a bunch of medium (josojas as example) to kimera kolors instead of this acryl gouache?
It seems like a dumb question but how do you know what is a cold or a warm version of a colour? Is it just a you will learn it thing? Or is there a knack? I mainly have been using CMYK to try and get a handle on mixing colours. So I ask if there is a way I can make a colour warmer or colder when I find a mixture I like?
How are you finding the gouache paints in comparison to scale 75 or kimera?
how do you know which pigments are good for staining? i cant seem to find that info anywhere
You know you are a pro when you use gouache! Wow. I’d be so scared of reactivation.
Dumb question, but how long do you normally wait for the oils to set before removing with the makeup sponge?
If I may ask a question : why (on a technical basis, not only the artistic one, do you always go for warm shadows and cold highlights? This seems a bit counter-intuitive to me.
Besides this, it's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
When using oils, does one need to coat the model for protection? Say, from children’s hands?
great vid as always Marco! one question, what do you use to keep the model protected since the Gouache paint can be reactivated again?
acrylic 'guache' is really just acrylic paint that is matte and opaque, it is only called 'guache' for marketing reasons. It doesn't reactivate any more than other acrylic paint does
I have been using these (and the Golden SoFlat) for a few months now, and totally loving them. They functionally work just like any other artist or miniature acrylic paint
Love your work Marco, but the amount of paint you put out always hurts my soul 😂
Really like the look of this one. Many mini painters do things to smoothly and to airbrushi, there work loses character and becomes a bit bland. This seems like a way to avoid that.
Please paint a space marine with this technique and a vehicle.
How do you paint over your Liquitex paint without reactivating the ink, Marco? Asking for a friend… 😳
Do you have the Gamblin Radiant set of oil paints?
No I don't (I have only their metallics!), but I just checked them after your hint and I'm suuuuper intrigued!!! 🤩🤩🤩
I'm particularly curious about the radiant white...
@@MarcoFrisoniNJM I don’t have the white or red. But I know a CZcamsr Grim Nation Hobbies loves the Radiant White.
awesome results like always. Every time I see you paint recently I am very curious about you painting with AP speedpaints since they are pretty much the oils of acrylic with you beeing able to reactivate them. Everyone says its a downside but if you plan around it I can see it beeing a major upside for blending or other things. Would like to hear your opinion on it and if you thought about them that way.
My miniatures tend to end up with lot of character by accident! 😅
This is the result after an hour of work… 😅
Remember to like and comment to appease the almighty algorithm 😁❤️👍🏼
