The scene where the predator is walking into the smokey burnt tree area to fight the trappers, I was wondering if they used a real persons calf muscles when it showed the closeup of the predators calf muscles from behind as he was walking. They looked very real
I remember hearing the directior say he specifically wanted the suit to have flexing calf muscles 🤣 considering it’s only in one shot I would have paid more attention to the face , when I say that I mean use the practical face ADI built , it looked great from an effects point of view
It became my life's work to get my calves into that shape

The primitive predator isn't really "primitive" he is simply choosing a less advanced loadout to serve his own specific style. Much the same way that a hunter today may choose a bow rather than a rifle.

Amazing work. I remember Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff on the Alien 3 making of dvd. Makes me ecstatic to see them still kicking butt 30+ years later.

Kudos to everyone involved. I have not even seen the whole movie! The design is amazing and the movement of Dane is on point. If this version does not revitalise the property then I'll be a monkeys uncle.
The 'head in the neck' offers some explanation to the movement, but it really helped the overall feral aspect of the creature.
I'm so excited to actually watch the whole movie.

I really like the mask of the new Predator. Having no facial structure makes it more intimidating. I also watched Red vs Blue back in the day, there was a overpowered killing machine called Meta who had a similar looking helmet with no real face structure.

I've met Dan and Gil a few times at MonsterPalooza in Pasadena. They are very nice and talented guys always answering questions. I hope they show up to Son of MonsterPalooza this October and bring some of the props from the movie.
Great movie... I've always been a big fan of the predator, and now the predator warrior. I just wanted to point out that most of the scenes filmed was in (Mini-Thni AB,) aka (Morley AB,) and NOT Calgary AB. Mini-Thni is in the heart of Stoney Nakoda First Nations traditional territory therefore, I feel its important & logic to properly acknowledge the host Nation/ Community. Many movies were filmed here since the early 1900s and hopefully this history will continue into the future. Fun Fact: when you watch this movie you will recognize landscapes from other past & recent movies, and as a member of the Mini-Thni community, that unfortunately takes away from the experience because I know that all the walking the characters did is only a few meters and a slight direction change of the camera.

Looking back, it seems very unlikely that an alien race capable of traveling through space in the 18th century would not have plasmacaster technology. I guess the Yautja had already studied us 18th century earthlings from afar and adapted Feral's equipment in order for the fight to be fair. ( That's probably the nerdiest comment I've made in my entire life ! LOL ! )

Vocês fizeram um excelente filme! Bem melhor que aquele de 2018 (que filme horrível aquele). Agora, se o diretor colocasse o Predador mais intenso, correndo atrás da Naru e ela correndo, passando por buracos, passando por estritos onde o Predador não entraria pelo tamanho, e ela se esquivando e a lâmina do Braço cortando, e ela escapando, uma perseguição brutal, bem animal, e ela suando frio, mas mantendo a bravura ferindo o Predador. E ela conseguisse se esconder dele, depois passava um tempo armando as armadilhas e com muita luta, muitas cenas e no final ela o matasse iriam ficar um tanto mais ALUCINANTE!!! Mas vocês estão de Parabéns!!

I loved the movie. It was ausumn experience watching it. But here I want to say is the original predators background music was missing here. I know about the rights . But if it would be given then definitely it would hv been more exagarating to watch it. 🥰👍 But nice work thou.

Disney should do a theatrical release for everyone.. Or will it eventually be on Disney+? I just noticed Lightyear is already on Disney+ and that movie was only in theaters a couple months ago. Must not have done very well.
Outside of the US, it’s already on Disney+. Disney+ outside the US has the Star selection which is a selection of more adult oriented movies and shows owned by Disney or one of its subsidiaries.

What don't people understand about it being a different sub-species or type of predator? LIKE, there are tons of those "original" ones out there, and surely we will see them one day. Like there's a whole race of predators; they will all not looks the same? like? God forbid XENOMORPHS has different variants even..!
A Xeno's very nature is adaptability and gene-mixing to survive. Preds are not like that. The new face is TOO different. It looks like a Predator knockoff.
yeah Yautja comes in different shapes and sizes , you even have some that are 4times bigger than an average Predator, different scales , skim color, dreads etc etc

1. Good main character.
2. Good time/place for story.
3. Well written story, comparing normal hollywood junk.
4. Directed well.
But it isn't perfect.
1. Lack of memorable soundtrack.
2. More real effects, not computer made.
3. Movement cliches with the alien.
4. Too fast action movement. Reality bites me better.

Out of all the predator films I’ve watched I’ve enjoyed them all apart from this one pray is a load of rubbish in my opinion the predator is supposed to be going forward not backwards
I don't understand why they changed the face of the Predator. It was a disgusting decision and I hope we don't see that face again in any of the next movies.

Creature and effects were cool, but its shocking to see how universally this movie is liked considering how many nonsensical things it had in it. MAybe people just dont know anything anymore... Specially in relation to Native Americans - to name a few: girl always uses warpaint, never changing clothes or wash herself. Just falls on the floor to sleep fully clothed and with warpaint :D She speaks to dog in sign language while saying words out loud simultaneously. Kinda beats purpose of keeping it SILENT.. She knows power of the bear (that would be hard to kill even with rifle) yet for no reason she decides to fire arrow at him... What she was hoping to achieve - piss him of more? She has a bow but is hunting elk with stone tomahawk? OK then. She is a tracker, lives there, knows environment yet mindlessly she just walks into swamp? It would be like New Yorker saw opened storm drain and stepped into the hole voluntarily. Just stupid. Guns are leaving cases but first integrated cartridge for guns was invented in France 100 years later... Looks like zero research went into this movie but luckily general population is not reading anything anymore and just tick-tocking and twitting so they cant notice anything. Its a tragedy really how uneducated people are... :(

Yea those scenes kinda made me question why though. Especially the bear scene before the predator. But some small details like the gun I didn’t even notice so it didn’t bother me. Clothing did, but the war paint didn’t when your on a hunt it’s very difficult too get good war paint (but it wasn’t good so defeats the purpose).

It was deff alot better than the last one but still not what I was hoping for the mask and look other than its face was cool and the weapons but yep wasn't a horror movie or scary it was a action movie still hands down way better than that last one that was pure dog💩 kinda want to see a samurai one or viking or egypt so they have given new life to the idea hopefully the keep bounce around in different times and maybe one day will get a horror predator movie again
Theres no such thing horror predator,the concept its hunt to kill with tech weapon and very strong character that nobody can beat the skill how its hunt the victim..if u already saw all predator movies u know the concept about this film,hunt to kill not horror like ghost movies
@@ojoynas9107 come on the first one when none of us had a clue what was going on first bit was a action movie showing how deadly the squad was than they get absolutely smashed and than they become the haunted it turn into a horror not all horror storys are ghost movies what is frankstein or warewolf in London ,aliens or from dust till dawn look at 30 I highly doubt any movies actually going to scare me but the o.g predator got me and whole lot of other kids scared I don't think the last couple would even scare a 5yr old prey probs would so hopefully they keep going in that direction rather than just the super cheese it was becoming

A shame the final face design was so far removed from Winston’s perfect work in P1 and P2. Movie was fine but my god is that face awful.

I love how making the predator more primitive means giving him a mask with tech that feeds the heat vision directly into his brain, so definitely more primitive than the original which had an actual visor hahahaha, you guys are great when trying to explain stuff you didn't actually thought through well enough! Also, the nuke the predator has is only for destroying the tech so no one has access to it after the predator dies, it has nothing to do with weaponry used for hunting... it's just lame how the production of this movie hasn't been given all the lore information... like they didn't know about the Adolini comic. This movie is awesome is you take it as an action movie and you go watch it for the fight scenes, but if you use your brain just a bit, this movie is no more than mediocre. Unfortunately, nowadays, people turn off their brain most of the times, thus the positive reactions for this movie.
But you didn't. This wasn't a predator movie. Predators don't constantly release camouflage. When they get injured the camouflage doesn't work perfectly anymore and you'd see wounds bleeding. From the look of it it's supposed to be a seasoned hunter but starts off hunting snakes and wolves? This isn't an MMORPG. The predator working that grind to get strong enough to hunt humans?
No, it's looking for the strongest predator in the area to hunt, it so happens that it encounters each consecutively.

Its this predators first time on earth, he hasn't hunted earth creatures before, so hes going through the food chain, he's a youngblood going through his initiation, he isn't an elite like Wolf predator.
