When I turn 18 I’m gonna have a predator birthday
i fallowed this totorial to make my kid a predator costume for halloween 2022. It turned out great and he just wore it to the Edmonton comic expo and ended up being the thumbnail for the local news story about comic con
It’s so crazy how he was able to do a killer job with everyday materials. Of course it’s not screen accurate, but anybody seeing that at their local con is going to know that’s a Predator. Great job, stealing the dread idea for sure.

That was pretty cool, especially for only $40! I might make the helmet just as a display piece. I would really like to see a Seventh Sister (from Star Wars Rebels) costume.

Wow! I've never seen this CZcams show before and I am genuinely amazed at just how good that costume turned out.
When cutting that type of Eva foam ( the "Knee pad" ) buy a sharpening stones so you don't dull your blades
+Sebastien Creates Good tip!
+CineFix Also a few ways to ensure the paint sticks to the foam you can seal it in a few ways:
-2 coats of mod podge
-Use a heat gun / torch to seal the pores of the foam
-Plasti dip
I use either the first or second because it's a cheap option both short and long term. I know plasti dip may be a little bit more expensive and sometimes you need to use more than one can.

Hi ppredman I'm currently making my own pred armour and will be at the spray painting phase soon....did you wait for the paint to dry between sprays (Gray, sliver then back) or did you do it all in one go >. < I don't wanna mess this up

Super Crafty Gamer you could probably just use any rope and paint it or use black tape, Orr (if someone is willing) use a black wig and braid the hair.

The predator is able to flip it like it did in the first AvP movie but yeah, you're right because this is the predator from the original movie.
They're removable so they must have been put on backwards by mistake before we shot. I realized this AFTER we shot, of course.

Foam blades. The sharpest and most durable material to make an effective weapon

Regarding the shoulder pieces, you could have gotten the same effect or even more authentic looking, but it would have been a lot more sturdy and a lot more flexible with your movement by using a thick craft foam. Plus you may not even have had to use much paint on it.
But your costume turned out AWESOME! And you would never guess what some of those materials started out as. Good job!
I made a Red Pyramid (pyramid head) costume as well as a nurse costume from Silent Hill one year for Halloween. It took me 6 weeks working on it about 3-4 hours a day, but It was the most fun I ever had building that costumes.

I notice a lot of people are saying the blades are backwards. They have been shown to look like how Ben made it, but most of the time they are the other way around. I also noticed a lot of the replies to these comments are “I bet you couldn’t do better”. That may be true but as I like to say, you don’t have to be a chef to say that a meal is bad. All criticism is valid as long as it is constructive and helpful to someone’s improvement. But Ben’s costume looks very cool and awesome so let’s all just appreciate all the work that went into this rad cosplay.

Im a huge Predator fan, so this came out decent. Just two problems, your too skinny, and the blades were upside down.

Don't forget in the first AVP he had the ability to turn the blade front and backwards with the push of a button. He used it to cut the tail of one of the alien
Tbh He is still skinny but predators are actually not that HUGE they're kinda lean but i think that adds to their aesthetic
