And the most documented about, she was the first women to attempt the divan(council) and meet wirh the ministers of her son during her 10 years of regency for murad. So for 10 YEARS she definitely have lots of experience and knowledge about foreign affairs and political matters.

From the day Humasha asked Kosem about herself and Kosem said she had a lost sister, I knew Humasha would make it her life’s goal to find her. 🤣 moral: never tell your in law enemies about yourself 😂
Yasmine is kosems sister ?!
Watching this back, I can’t believe how innocent Osman seemed. Halime still can’t understand she is the cause of Mustafa’s troubles. She should’ve been grateful Ahmed spared her son’s life but instead she plotted on him constantly.
Indeed. I can't understand why Halime behaved and thought that way about the Sultan and her Mustafa. I think she got lost in her own universe named 'Entitled Ingratitude'. Or, perhaps she was just too ambitious and craved for greater position, authority and power...
Yea she is ungreatfull
How could she believe it, when her eldest son was executed by the order of his father. And Ahmed already tried several times to execute Mustafa.
Halime's ambition wasn't survival. She loved her son for power and the power she can get through him. Such a misfortune for mustafa to have a mother like her. He had been used by the women around him
@@m.n5699 Ahmed only considered executing her son after she plotted to overthrow and kill him

Nothing unusual in Turkey. I have a friend who has 5 sisters and 5 brothers. And father is still on the goooo🤪😊
Prince Mustafa is paranoid, Zülfikar married Humasha Sultan after her husband mysteriously died, and now Sultan Ahmet is slowly being poisoned to death by Yasemin. Yeesh! Talk about an interesting episode. At least Mehmet Giray wasn't executed.

Omg. I dont want to see this anymore. What they have done to mustafa is beyond cruelty. He was a gem as a kid.
Feel sorry for poor Mustafa in this show being locked up by himself.😢
So so sad. Looks like he have schizophrenia.
Because of greedy mom
It was the only way Sultan Ahmed could keep Mustafa alive and safe from people like his mom and sister who would plot to put him on the throne. He had no idea that the isolation would cause Mustafa to become severely mentally ill. Anyone who has watched the first 20 episodes of Magnificent Century Kosem knows how much Ahmed loved Mustafa. Even the couple of times Ahmed ordered Mustafa's death under the fatih law he changed his mind.
@@mariakelly90210 yes but couldn’t mustafa have had a room with a garden, and be allowed some playmates his age ….
It’s hypocritical when the king has 3 dozens of concubines for pleasure and Sultana Handan had to commit suicide for just being in love with Dervish. Not even been physical with him. It’s a sin? This was going on in Asian culture as well. Making me so sick in my stomach!

I don’t understand why in this series Mustafa was imprisoned AS A CHILD in a room and Halime was left to wander about when she was the one who should have been imprisoned in a room. That poor child had to suffer alone in a room. Why couldn’t Halime be banished to the furthest regions and kosem raise Mustafa like she did Osman? Most unreasonable decision of Ahmed in this series. Dilruba should have been married off as soon as she turned 18. Send her to so far away from the palace and her mother.
Because many people can try to enthrone mustafa ...
@@veronicahennaart4967 if Kosem was raising him like she did Osman and not let both Sultannas get close to him it might not have possible that Halime or Safiye Sultanna would try to enthrone him. Personally I would have beheaded both sultannas or imprisoned them on the island that Safiye Sultanna was imprisoned in. Put them both in the same cell. They would have killed each other
@@TrendyKendyFendi Imagine Halime and Safiye in a same prison, same cell. Because halime's fault , she and safiye sultan have a plan to agains Ahmed , if Mustafa still close to her mother then Will be another betrayed of Sultan ahmed
He is mentally ill so I guess its main reason. He was called Mustafa the Crazy by people at that times
Sultam could have thrown Halime and her daughter out of the palace instead of poor Mustafa.
Lmaoo the way kosem’s children are lined up in a row and she had to pause and count to realize osman wasn’t there 😂
I hate that we didn’t get to see much of Ahmed’s and kosem’s love. I understand the story is about her but couldn’t we at least get a little of more time with them? Now they fast forwarded to the time ahmed starts to get sick with the stomach ulcers. We didn’t get to see the birth of her other children
Once kosem said to humasha she wanted her next Child to look like her sister, yasmin literally looks like kosem's elder daughter
Yasmine is her sister?!?
Frr
The presence of Yasemin makes my heart ache for Kosem. I would rather live an ordinary life than live as a sultana in a palace surrounded with rivals.
Isn't it funny, how the children grew up and their parents had never grown old
Cause they gave birth to them young so when they were like 16 the parent was in their early 30s
Excatly even nowadays it happens mom and daughter looks like siblings 😊
Hahaha...love Dilruba's ironic response to her mother's marriage proposal. And then the glint in her eyes, as she realizes her future husband's 'potential' at the harbor. Not to mention, her 'take charge' reaction to the dead body.
Too bad, she's probably going to be killed off or exciled by Kosem pretty soon.
She has such potential as a villain!
Yeah , eventually kosem sent her regards
Kosem's make-up is amazing, she still looks pretty and young but somehow this look works for a "mother" whereas before she looked like a youngster / teen. The outfits and hairdo as well.
Don't they understand that Musthafa has become like this because he has been locked away
Well he was alone for a long tim so he started melting imaginary friends
Sure it was the price for his cure of smallpox
Pinhan means hidden, he has an imaginary enemy.

Historically, great suffering happened in these Harems, since many of the women were simply slaves. Let's not be naive to think the Sultans were handsome men sensitive to women's rights.
No, that was the human trafficking decorated in silks and jewels. Nowadays is or have been even much more brutal. Hope they really finished It off once for all.
Most of these sultans appear as quite fat and old in paintings with a very mediocre look.
Mustafa in insulation when it was a little kid... Mustafa got free when he was adult... Very clever Ahmed. I'm very sorry for Mustafa...
Mustafa has suffered, death is way better than what they have done to him, they have ruined him completely he’s suffering
But Ahmed didn't do it on purpose or to make Mustafa suffer. Unfortunately Mustafa's mental health problems were the unintended consequences of Ahmed trying to keep his brother safe and alive. It is horrible what happened to Mustafa, but I wish that people would realize that Ahmed didn't do this to his brother to be cruel.
I never liked Humasha but I am so happy to see her and Zulfikar together ❤❤❤ too cute

Mustafa has created a persona in his mind. This is sad.
In Korean and Chinese royal dramas, they always check medicines and foods with a silver spoon that is supposed to turn dark color if there is poison. Of course no all poisons affect silver spoons that same, but I see that the same prevention trick was not apparently used by the Ottomans.
The sultan had always a man, who first tasted his food and drink!

Everyone is calling Kosem greedy for power... In this drama though, she is not greedy... She has to be strong to stay there to protect her King and her Princes and Princesses... Plus she is good to Osman and Mustafa and others too as much as she can... She hasn't gone out of her way to hurt anyone... Never taken a step of enmity towards anyone unless they took the step first... But she hasn't been stupid enough to give anyone a second chance to fool her again... She was friendly to Humasha too when they first met but Humasha wasn't good to her but plotting, still is plotting... When everyone wants the throne and is plotting against you constantly, you need some form of power to survive... Safiye was ready to destroy her own grandson and then kill him, only because he didn't submit to her power or bow down to her, nothing else... Kosem cannot be compared to Safiye at all... Kosem is as just and kind as you possibly can under the circumstances and fierce and powerful when the situation demands... Honestly, I despise Kosem since the death of Darvish. She wanted to take them down without having any valid reason. Also, she and Ahmed keep Mustafa in one room, ultimately driving him to madness...and I think this is only the beginning of how cruel Kosem will be in the future.
Bro same even I started hating her after dervish death
Without any reason? Dervish is the biggest traitor
@@marijajuresic2157 Her existence as sultana and Ahmed's accession to the throne happened because of Darvish's "treason". If Darvish commited treason against the Ottoman Empire, then what did Kösem do? She tried dethroning every single one of the Sultans...
He (Darvish) tried to murder her(Kosem) with poison...and tried to murder many others to cover his sin of murdering the old sultan. Something he probably would have been forgiven for understanding the circumstances. Now what happened to Mustafa was extremely cruel....could have sent that pretty stupid, evil mom and sister away....Now Mustafa has a demon and they (Ahmed and Kosem) were a big part in that. Ruined his life....He did not deserve that.
There was a TON of corruption in the dynasty when Ahmed ascended...Kosem helped clean it up.
Why lock mustafa ? Ahmed Should let osman free and lock up the mother n sister.
ahmed always has eyes on other girls
Ahmed cheated with Kosem ! Breaks her heart.
I feel so bad for Mustafa
Kosem's servant who is always on the left of her is so pretty!🌷
Look at her majesty .how she just seat on the thrown 😍
The women's that goes into the sultan room to bed with him, why aren't they checked from head to toe for any kind of poison or weapons. Women are silent killers.
So you mean after all these years Halime still believed that her son is a threat to sultan king and everytime he's asked for or his door been knock upon on they are going to kill him. No wonder he's like that.
This show skips a lot of detais, like Sultana Humash remarriage
Mustafa has phobia because he was locked up and had always treathened his life poor him😢
Dilruba wants to enthrone Mustafa. Humasah wants to enthrone Iskender. Poor Ahmed, no wonder he developed ulcers in this series. But in real life, he did develop ulcers at a young age.
I hope kosem also can gift a concubine to zulfikar.. then i want to see how sultanah humasah react to that
The husband of a sultana (if she was sultana by blood)
was not allowed to have other wives or concubines
I am in love with the love of Zülfikar and Humasha
Yes they two are sweet couple
What happened to Hasan Pasha ? I thought he finally go back to Cairo with Humasha. I didnt see any reason why these new lovebird ( H&Z ) became husband and wife now. Hahahhahaahhaa
@@esmeraldalowry2836he died "unexplainably"
48:10 so ahmet never visited mustafa through out the years? around 13-14 years and not one visit? make it make sense
No one is innocent. Had Mustafa succeeded story would be something else and the history would be written how he ascended the throne. But truth is everyone wants be in power decieving the Sultan and all burden to him.
For somebody who was brought up in a monastery kosem’s sister yaesmin hatun definitely has some sensual moves to keep the sultan hooked
Hilarious
She was probably taught them by one of safiye's serving concubines
Murat Pasha was right.Kosem did become Safiye later on.
i disagree, because kosem is only like that because of protecting the majesty and harem…
@@melissalegaspi5408 Later on in the series she slowly becomes like that.
@@ankitamondal7037 in real history shes not even greedy....
@@ankitamondal7037 shes the most powerful woman in ottoman empire and lot of achievements..
@@shakiramonille2559 I know.Right now I am just commenting according to the drama.
i really love the dress they were especially kosem one
Dilrubaia is a stone cold killer. No remorse looking at that dead woman in Mustafa room. She didn't want to marry that other parsha because he wasn't as evil as Devaut, she wanted someone evil like herself that would do what she wanted. She made up her mind then and there sizing him up after he helped her get rid of the body.
