Everyone complaining it costs so much money and yet calling it an ugly monstrosity are missing two points. It’s meant to keep the Train going at top speeds, and it costs significantly more to add astethics apart from structurally related(necessary) designs. If we wanted to go big on it then we need to put money where our mouth is.

California High Speed rail is a disaster. The politicians in Sacramento have stolen from us and still have not delivered. You are a fool to believe them. LA to San Francisco will never happen. Fire your architect. That's one of the ugliest structures in human history. You guys are seriously going to build an unadorned quarter-mile-long concrete box? And that tiny little bridge structure crossing the river is out of scale with the rest of the project by a factor of 10.
