Cut the cord | Audio-Technica M20xBT review

- The Audio-Technica M20xBT take the popular M20x entry level studio headphones and cut the cord, making them fully wireless. But are basic bluetooth controls and 60 hours of battery life enough to make these worth the extra cost?

You videos are so high quality!!!
Im suprise a channel like this doesn't have a lot of subs
Awesome review, i was sold on multipoint availability at this price range.
really good, detailed video. suprised you guys aren't more famous!
Tell your friends. Like and subscribe 😆
Hi, great review, compared to your Sony headphones did you missed the active noise cancelling?
very high quality vids, you deserve more subs
Thanks friend, tell your mates to sub!
I just brought one in China, and I love the fact it support both wired and Bluetooth mode, thanks for you review. Very high quality vid.
nice review of headphones...what is the brand and model name of your bag in the background please? How many liters of the bag please? How much the bag please?where can i buy the bag online or actual stores please?what you recommend hard case for the headphones please?where can i buy the hard case online or actual stores if you can give recommend please?sorry for my questions
If these just allowed you to fold the headphones for easier storing, these would be perfect for me...
You could try the sr30bt, same great battery time, same 40mm drivers, foldable...
@@alexmosutheskypiratewhich one is better? I'm afraid older BT headphones are not that good
@@residentzerogood in what way? If they share driver and technology they might just differ in shape and ergonomics.
The sr30Bt do not have a wired option, they are exclusively Bluetooth, micro USB, and they fold.
The ones in the video seem a little larger and suited for bigger ears, maybe a tad more comfy, have a wired option, and are newer.
Depends if you wanna use them more at home or you need to move around or travel with them.
I don't think sound quality will be much different.
They know that too, which is why they make them not fold. They want people to buy the M50xBT2s. Those are the only ones worth taking in a bad with you. The M20xs will just break.
@@alexmosutheskypirate I agree. But they are not produced anymore from what I can tell. I had two pairs, first one broke after 3 years (I wore them everywhere all the time, even slept in them). Second pair (which I purchased as a replacement in advance before the first pair broke) fell into water few days ago, worked for a few more days and stopped. I wanted to get another pair but they are nowhere to be found, not even on Amazon. So, will have to try M20xBT now, as I'm pretty sure SR30BT is discontinued.
what about connection to pc mine is connected but it doesnt show up as an option under sound settings
would these be good for the gym? (walking on treadmill & resistance training)
does the microphone sound better if you use the wire?
Look amazing
How's the soundstage of this piece?
These or Sennheiser 350bt?
Hey! Thank you really much for this video, it definitely helped me with my choice! I was hoping maybe you (or someone) can help me with something I noticed. In the manual it says that the input tension of the lipo battery must be 3.7V, and it specifically says not to use any fast-charge capable device as power supply (with 5V+). The thing is... I don't have any power supply that is NOT 5V: cellphone chargers, PC USB ports, laptop... They're all 5V! It also says to only use the provided cable, but honestly, it's just a cable. I fail to see how it can make this conversion. Is it safe to just plug it into the PC?
Just plug it into a PC or laptop. That would be much more safer. As long as you don't plug it into a power supply or a charger that offers fast charging. It is actually more healthy for the battery to charge it slower as the time goes by years since battery cycling [charging/discharging] is degrading the battery holding capacity itself. Hence just charge it through a PC or laptop.
@@6.-THE-.1.-BOSS-.9 Noted. Thank you very much for your help! 🙂
The m40x should have been their next BT model
I really don't get that move either. Maybe they had leftover m20x
Wired version doesnt have replaceable earcups, not?
Would BT still work if one uses the 3.5mm cable as well?
Id like to BT my phone but plug direct line into my bass amps' "Aux in" for home practice.
Thanks for any helpful replies.
No, when you plug it it turns off
What about the iPp-IPX rating?!?
Theyre selling now for only ~80usd, i might need to get a pair
Hey Tech Finder, would you recommend this for monitoring live audio recording? And is the EQ flat enough to an acceptable level within this headphones?
Probably do just fine for live. Would not recommend for studio mixing.
Go with the MXx50's or beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO or DT 770 Pro.
Ultimately if you are serious you should not mix and master on headphones unless you just have no choice. You should use monitors.
Dang………. ☹️
Had mine for a while. these are my "at home" headphones, and I really like how they sound
What do you mean by "at home"?
Only thing, sbc and aac only. Is aac that terrible on a s22?
Not really. The tuning is great. Only issue is can be sibilant at times, but it's very balanced and accurate. Other issues, obviously no ANC but once sound plays, outside noise isn't there, and also flat soundstage can feel a bit boring, but it can be very enjoyable after some burn in time
When will this get released in India ?
Could you recommend some EQ settings?
All I need to know if there better then AirPods Pro?
Well they are MUCH cheaper I can tell you that 😆
i love acoustic music, listen to the piano, the guitar, will be good for that kind of music?
Yes it is 🧐
Yes definitely, especially for those genres
Metric stank
not good for gaming though. the audio is so choppy:/
Please elaborate. I’m looking specifically to game in new headphones
@@chrissilver9302 did you get them?
These are terrible
Why, I was gonna buy these
@@oweniwaniec3679 Don't listen to him. These are really good. I have 5 headphones ranging from $300 to $1200. These are bangers for the price. These are my everyday headphones for content consumption. Just change the pads to dekoni or brainwavz pads and they are 5/5 not joking
@@jcap8391 Which dekoni do you recommend?
just ordered these! i hope i really like em' for daily wear, i also have some wired MDR -V6s @@jcap8391
@@jcap8391I agree, I have PX8, XM5, Momentum 4, and out of the BT headphones these impress with their charity above the other ones which is muddled by excessive bass. These are balanced and very clear but lack soundstage and can be sibilant, and no ANC. Still I'm liking them over the other BT headphones. Still not better than my wired ones using a BT DAC/amp (AKG K371 and Sennheiser HD650 ❤❤❤)
