- In today's video, I am finally re-swatching my Sennelier l'aquarelle 48 half pan set that I purchased over two years ago now! This is my main watercolor set and I have been learning a lot about the medium over the past two years.
We also paint some birds (yay!) and chat a bit since this is my first video in a long while. I sure missed you guys! I hope you enjoy this video even though it is a lengthier one!

The falcon and Owl came out amazing. Can I like them both? A desert would be nice for the missing background. A little bit of tan, a little bit of blue and a tad of brown pink (haha). Congratulations on 10k!

I can't believe you've had the tin for two years, how does time fly so quickly?! 😮 I miss my Senneliers, which are across the world from me right now...well, all of my art supplies and my studio too, lol. My travel palette has had a workout though - Buff Titanium is being used up rapidly because so many things in Greece are that colour! 😂 Your swatch card fits in the tin so nicely, and I love the gorgeous falcon and owl paintings! I also think there are usually too many similar yellows. I wonder if it has to do with mixing other colors? That certain yellows when mixed create different combinations? Would love to see you investigate this.
yes, this is very true, except for that since a lot of the larger sets have this huge amount of yellow, it seems like you wouldn't need to mix as many colors. Yes, there is still mixing no matter what, but it is much more crucial to smaller sets, especially 6-12 colors. however im no expert in mixing! it will remain a mystery to me haha
