- I love this song, when I first bought the Long Black Veil album so many years ago, this was the one I had on repeat and to this day it's one of my favourites. Mark Knopfler's voice is so smooth and of course the Chieftains are just an incredibly musical band, it's a gorgeous recording - if you haven't heard it, go check it out!

Thanks Ray! Isn't it a lovely tune? I think there's a Bob Dylan version out there too with a different name.

So very nice
Thanks Karen!
It is nice to have the girls back. Wonderful take on a sweet song, as always. I am going to put a new set of strings on my Gretsch Jumbo, and put it into Nashville tuning to give it a try. I wondered if you have done that? (makes it sound a lot like a 12 string) Thank you for being on today.
I haven't tried that, one day I might. Maybe I'll wait till I get a Gretsch Jumbo!
Wonderful! So you’re taking requests now? I’ve got a challenging one, but I believe you can do it.
There is a fantastic song written by Bob Lind called Something Worse Than Loneliness. It’s not an Irish or folk style song, it’s just a great song with beautiful lyrics. And it’s something that I think would greatly benefit being sung from a female perspective. Anyway, that’s my request. And I bet if you did a good job, Bob would share the link on his website.
Keep up the great work.
Oh, that sounds like something I would enjoy. This is the same Bob Lind who wrote Elusive Butterfly? I actually did a cover of that recently, more based on the Glen Campbell version but it’s such a great song. I definitely need more Bob Lind in my life!
Lovely Tara. Are you of Irish descent?
I sure am. I'm Canadian born but my parents and all my family comes from Dublin. I was so lucky to go back year after year as a child, it feels like home to me.
