Play Me the Waltz of the Angels - One Take Cover by Tara Dunphy

The first time I heard this song, I cried. Same thing happened the second, third, fourth time. It's absolutely gorgeous and easily the best version is by the fabulous Derailers, who have long been my favourite band. I was playing a few weeks ago when a lady asked me to sing it, she said it was the last song she danced to with her husband, and he had fairly recently passed away. It's a hard one to sing sometimes because it's so emotional, but I was happy to do it for her.

I recently discovered the music of the long departed writer/singer Jim Croce. Have you heard any of his songs? Id heard a couple years ago but that’s all. I think they would suit your voice very well.

It sure can be. It's such a moving song but when you're singing it to someone who is living the story, it's heartbreaking.
