- The first time I heard this song, I cried. Same thing happened the second, third, fourth time. It's absolutely gorgeous and easily the best version is by the fabulous Derailers, who have long been my favourite band. I was playing a few weeks ago when a lady asked me to sing it, she said it was the last song she danced to with her husband, and he had fairly recently passed away. It's a hard one to sing sometimes because it's so emotional, but I was happy to do it for her.

As a old man love this song, Thank you
Pure talent.. Tara ❤️
Wow. You've got me thinking of my mom and dad. Thank you!
Thanks Tara . Love the harmony I lost my wife in January and your songs are just very touching to listen to.
I'm so sorry Andy, I can imagine it's been a very difficult time and I hope the music has helped. Please let me know if there is a special song I can learn for you. Music is an incredible healer, in my experience.
❤ I like that tara nice 🎉
🥰
Very beautiful Ms Tara!!! TY
Thanks, it's a gorgeous song, isn't it?
Tara that was beautiful 😢 I was unfamiliar with this song until I attended song jam down here in Blacks Harbour. Your rendition was very moving and loved the fiddle accompaniment ❤
Thanks Mandy. I think Blair and I played this one or two times back at the Shire, in the good old days :)
@@TaraDunphy Ahh. I didn’t recall that 🤔
I recently discovered the music of the long departed writer/singer Jim Croce. Have you heard any of his songs? Id heard a couple years ago but that’s all. I think they would suit your voice very well.
I actually have a few on the list that were requests, just chipping away at them all. He had some great songs!
@@TaraDunphy I look forward to hearing them! 😎
Has to be hard to sing when you play it in person as a request.
It sure can be. It's such a moving song but when you're singing it to someone who is living the story, it's heartbreaking.
