well, going down the mountain with the cart isnt that much of a problem since its all downhill but good luck then in the dark forest or meadows moving with a 3 ton cart on your back, tipp: use the hoe to flatten the little hills you get stuck
@@NizarGG 2 helpful tips I have found out that noone seems to mention in their videos are: 1. You can transport ORE "through" teleports by logging in and out of different servers, so you jump in to 2nd serve drop ore, jump back to first server and teleport, and then log out and log back to where ore is and equip it, and log back into first server where you earlier went to desired destination. 2. If you are out farming IRON or what ever with a buddy or alone and one of you dies, you can use their tombstone as an esy "chest" to find due to it being marked on your minimap and store the metal ores there for the moment, just make sure not to die again or remember where the first tombstone is. The tombstone should stay until its emptied so you wont lose the loot. Feel free to use this tips in any future tutorials :)
I used this trick moving out of my apartment, it really works.
Harvesting barley and flax with an AOE weapon works, but don't try this with turnips or carrots 🥕 cos you'll lose them!

Heh? I did this all the time on barley and flax, but with recent patches it didn't gave me 100% of barley (stopped harvesting flax, have enough for now) so I stopped doing it. Need to retry I guess.
I prefer the Iron Sledge over the Atgeir - not sure the range is further (probably not?) but it's more fun, and it feels like it might take less stamina, but not sure. Just make sure all your barley is done before using it, or it'll destroy the nearly finished ones too!
Just use the farming mod that adds AOE harvest and grid planting by using shift, much easier and fixes the annoying planting by automatically spacing and aligning plants, by default it uses the same exact stamina per seed, it just does 25 ish at a time
Ok... gotta hand it to you. Not even halfway through the video and already there are 2 tips I learned. Most of these tips and tricks vids tell you stuff that I already know by the time I see them. Thumbs up sir :)

in my first playthru, before facing Bonemass, i cut off all trees in the spawn area and raised the ground in the whole area, so i can easyly move around while dodging his attacks and poison clouds

Extra Tip for Surtling Cores, if you find some of those spawns in the swamp, mine them out. They will continue to spawn and instantly die. Just come back later to pick up your hoard of cores and coal.
My team did this last night, we went into a crypt after mining out the spawn. When we came out there were 14 cores and 100 coal waiting for us.

Throwing the entire cart down the mountain is probably safer than what I did - I made a wall at the bottom to catch the ore (to not fall into the nearby water), then threw the ore and an egg down the mountain. Worked fine for a few stacks stacks, but two of them went straight into the mountain and was gone forever. (Early access, I know.) ^^
The atgeir trick for farming is super nice, definitely gonna make use of that. Too bad there isn't a way to aoe collect the turnips or the carrots

setup a moat around the portal in the ashlands, or build a small island offshore, you want them to agro into the water while youre afk.
Yeeting that cart might be one of the best things I've seen. You can also slingshot your friend with the harpoon off of a 26 degree planted roof on the floor, if they stand behind a placed door and you run away from them. HAVE FUN!
I yeeted it by accident once. Found the cargo at the bottom with all my silver!!!

to get your stuff from the bottom of the sea you can also build roofs down to the bottom - when you swim the roofs gonna force you down...

Found the Ashlands by accident. Been using it as a Coal farm ever since. I have so many Surtling Cores aswell. I keep throwing them away when I go get coal there!

One thing to note with the cart being chucked down the side of a mountain is to really pick the right spot to do it at. I tried this trick before and I spent an hour chucking my cart over the edge, getting it stuck on a rock, destroying it, rebuilding it, moving it to the edge without falling off and doing it all over again multiple times. Was totally not worth it. Also the silver vein location could make moving the cart to mountain edge super difficult

I should have watched your videos earlier! I made a bunch of workbenches and used floors to connect things in the swamp. This is SO much better! Thank you! (I'll still build workbenches to set torches. It makes it very easy to navigate.

Pro tip for mining silver. If you have found a mountain with a number of silver veins and a circular fort type building. Set up a local base in it by building some walls, a door and a roof. You can set up a smelter there (one smelter fits in the bottom of the structure), as well as a teleporter to bring coal from your kilns elsewhere and go to the base conveniently. Instead of transporting all silver back to your base, you transport materials for an upgraded forge to this local base (which many times can be found in surrounding biomes). With some iron there, you can build a stonecutter and fortify this local base with stone walls, and even extend it such that more smelters fit. This is probably a lot easier than transporting the heavy silver ores.

I found 3 surtling spawners close together in the swamp, I built a treehouse and portal in the middle of the triangle, I haven't afk farmed it yet since I'm worried about wraiths but I pop through the portal every so often and vacuum up all the loot.

Best way to farm surlings is in the swamp, find one with a bunch of fires and dig around them, then leave a portal there and check them out every now and then, i have one with like 5fires i get a 70-80 coal each time i visit
More uncommonly known tips in this video than the last one - nice! This time you get a thumbs up and a sub. ^^
I have a portal hub style surtling farm. I set up 6 different spawn locations with tree houses and a staircase to the fire spout. Made sure they all had 3 spawns per location. Every time I step in I get 12 coal, 2 cores, sometimes more, never less. By the time I step in and out of all portals, I restart the process from the first portal again. Then at night I sleep above one of the surtling spawners which triggers 9-12 spawns. I usually pick up all items at once and get a chest full of coal and several stacks of cores.

@@coreyostrander1763 portals fires and workbenches stop spawning in a circle roughly the size of the worldbench crafting area just build your sleep spot just outside that ring

I regret that I can't like this video more than once. The farming tips and getting ore off the mountain were particularly useful to me. (Literally everything else in the game requires a button press per, never thought to try holding the button to harvest.)
If you load in the Ashlands it will not update when the patch is released. Every area you've been to will not have the new content. Just a heads up. Have to go to new seed.
regarding first tip... if you are close to land you can just build a sloped roof over you that goes down into the water. roof will push you down as you walk into the water. VOILA! underwater tunnels

There is also flame metal deposits in the Ashlands. Not just Surtlings. You can’t use it for anything yet but it is there.

And you can mine them with your pick and smelt them in your blast furnace. The ingots you get look like pure gold.
i believe they are for the flaming sword, which people have spawned using cheats.

Throwing my cart down a mountain isn't gonna happen. It's fun to watch on video, but there goes the immersion! ;) I like building infrastructure (in fact I wish there were a bonus to making paths and roads, like you move faster on them -- there's a mod that does it, but I think it belongs into the game itself). My favourite trick (really an exploit) with carts is creating them on a boat, filling them with ore, destroying them, and enjoying the trip home entirely without weight issues. I should check whether that still works; I like knowing about exploits but I tend not to use them unless they "fix" something that's badly designed.

We used the wated jump towers all the time to get serpent scales when we killed them near a coast like we mostly did.
Pulling them on land with the harpoon didnt seem to work all the time.

@@tommysanchez4757 small swamps tend to only have 1 to 2 large swamps tend to have a few however since its randomly generated you may get none if you dont mind using outside resources you can use a valheim map generator by putting your seed in to look at the full map

Sertling spawn farm x 2 near one of my swamp outposts means we have like 50+ cores
I had like 170 yesterday, before I spammed most of them into a bonfire real fast at night.
It got /really/ bright...

just remember that flax and barley needs more space in between than carrots and turnips, so the walking trick wont work for those 2
I'm still in the bronze age in my first play through, and haven't found warm clothes for the mountains yet. or the swamp, or how to steer a boat properly... yeah, noob stuff
Why building defences in the ashlands? There are only sertlings and the explode when touching water ... just create a little island (for example rising the ground on the shore, put your portal up and then remove the connection to the land). Sertlings will never be able to reach it. And in case they have ranged attacks (not far enough in game to encounter sertlings), just make the island far enoug out.
They have a ranged explosive attack you would need to build almost half a crafting zone per side to use your idea

I like to “teleport” my raw ore using the second seed method. Get my shit, logout, login to second seed, put in chest, log back in to main seed go back to base, park toon in front of forge, log back in to second seed, retrieve ore, log back in to main seed, and BAM!! Seems like a lot but it’s WAY faster with zero risk than sailing it all back. I also like to bring multiple pickaxes to get the whole vein so I only have to do it once.
I watch this, I already know all the tricks, but I watch it....

bruh, just hammer your harvest! it will instantly pop everything in the range of the hammer :P so you dont even have to press E :D
!!! This is the best tip in TRANSPORTING the item, create a new world/server and throw all the items there
switch back to the main server and go back to your base
then switch to a new server pick up all your things
and switch again to the main !!!
NOW THE CART IS USELESS
