There's one tip I've never seen in any video, a friend of mine discovered it by accident. You know how hard it is to place blocks beneath stuff? If you press X to sit, the camera will move down after a while and you can target the bottom face you previously didn't have access to. Gotta have the hammer equiped and the block you're going to place already selected, changing anything makes you stand up.
I sit all the time while changing weapons and tools and accessing boxes and coal inputs, it never forces my character to stand, he just faces whatever I interact with while staying seated, but that's still a useful tip thanks

Only cool thing I've learned is that you can put a rug on a floor piece, delete the floor piece, and the rug stays like a secret entrance. Insane job here.
Whoa that one is actually sweet. You can use ladders to travel up and down in a 2x2 space so you could have a whole storey completely hidden by a single rug.

@Six Addams , I upgraded the ballista you showed me by doubling the bows right behind eachother, using the Huntsman for the one behind, and the finewood for the front because it has that shorter but bendy shape and it looks impeccable, thank you for your fine work!

Great video of actual tips thanks - love the spiral stairs, the amazing bed and portal text ideas. I'm not at the Iron stage yet (I don't want to tempt myself to be lazy with debug!) as haven't found a decent swamp, but looking forward to using some of those tips and designs. One I thought of doing (that I've not seen anyone try) is set up similar to your wood farm - having sloped ramparts with horizontal logs ready to roll down the hill at mobs during raids. Anyway thanks for the video - +1 new sub here. ♥
Also for extending land with the raising option on the hoe if you line it up so half your circle is on the point you want the land raised to it will bring it up to that height in one click instead of having to raise the same spot multiple times
You can also extend land by standing as close to the edge as you can and still strike the ground when using your pickaxe. However, it's less efficient because it lowers the ground you're standing on.

Another way to farm wood I've found really fun and efficient is to plant trees on a slope and cut the ones on top first. When they fall they end up damaging and cutting down the trees beneath them.
Yea you just place a bunch of them right next to each other. You need to build the walls and the floor around where you are going to put them first though.

The iron poles supporting a hearth on a second floor is fantastic, that will allow me to ditch the ugly stone pillars on the ground floor

That is in every tip video. He was just demonstrating that you can only go up or down 16 levels. That of which is not a common tip.
