My buddy and I started this games three weeks ago. I finally got my PC, played some FPS games at first, but eventually it became time for some true sweaty-no life-gaming. I had some paid time off and he’s between jobs.
He had some valhiem experience, making it all the way to the mountain boss in his last play through before burning out in the plains stage. I was brand new to the game and ready to sink 100 hours (105.4 to be exact) into this game. We cruised through the game at a relatively high speed and killed the queen.
What an incredible time I had grinding this game. Helped to have the homie and his knowledge on the things we needed to prioritize. Can’t wait for the next big update.

1: You can lead those creatures back if you are overwhelmed and the garrison will help will fight them off.
2: You can lead creatures to the fort to weaken the garrison and possibly defeat them for you.

what are you even talking about lol. This is the exact kind of content I've been begging for since launch - incredible terrain, some unique gameplay features besides just "run to the new spot, grab some stuff, congrats you're done with the new biome", and a magic system that's *ACTUALLY CHALLENGING,* not just "oh you leveled up, here's one button you click to destroy everything".
This is one of the very few and rare games which has gotten consistently better with every single update. Anybody complaining about the new content should probably stick to minecraft or something lol

@@TherronKeen Despite I agree with you regarding all new cool mechanics and Mistlands being much more slower to progress appearing to be a great benefit, I also agree with the original comment that Mistlands are terrible and I can't say I like them much. So I 100% like all new mechanics introduced but fine style/theme to be not good. When originally the game came out and everyone expected Mistlands to appear in just like half a year, I was between a small minority not waiting for them much. Since at that moment I'd already tired of Valheim to be very focused on weather effects and visibility reducing as part of the gameplay. You have fog, dark and rain even in Meadows, in Plains Fog becomes much more dense, in Mountains you have that snowstorm hurting your eyes but on top of it, of course, there are Swamps, where it is always dark and raining. And if you remember, intially Mistlands looked as even more darker place with spiders. When they introduced the first screenshots of updated Mistlands terrain, I liked them much. I thought that despite the name you will have the opportunity to see bright sun at least sometimes there. I can't say that I don't like the resulting mechanic of mist on it's own but naturally Mistlands is not a place you like to walk through, build a base etc. Even on top of the cliffs it's not very bright there. But there is one thing I don't like about Mistlands much more. That is insects theme, resulting in ugly enemies and dungeons. If they implemented that mystery fog, why not to improve the atmosphere even more to the mystery direction? Why do you must to kill the only allies you meet in the game? Why instead of some silent abandoned ruins with secret doors and deadly traps you have to break through some sort of zerg invasion - eggs, nests, goo etc. The same can be said about Gjall. You could have all the same gameplay - some mechanical airship that fires bombs over you and drops down some mechanical or magical units that try to jump on you. Instead, you have what you have - ugly ticks. The only thing I hate my summer for is that half of it you can't walk safely in the forest or field due to the danger of being beaten by tick and die or get life changing desease... And now I have the same thing in the game - 0/10 decision from devs.

gall, gjall, who cares how you pronounce it, it's just a word in a video game

correct procunciation shows respect to the owner/user of the unique word. Whether it is a surname, last name, scientific term or fictional character. As a point of persona pride, I always make an effort, where possible (ie Google), to quickly check pronunciation. Although I did so initially out of curiosity and a desire to be correct in what I say, as a side benefit I found the owner/users of the word in question were appreciative of the fact that I had at least made an effort to pronounce the word correctly. That's my personal experience and why I find pronunciation valuable if not required.
