"What's up, Gjall" has to be one of the funniest double puns I've ever heard.
But anytime I see that raid notice I pee a little. Not the laughing or bladder problem kinds, either.
I can see why the game devs lock chickens behind Yalguth. Many games that people consider to be hard or punishing leave a lot to be desired in the way of endgame activities. And most can agree that when playing an rpg, fashion and farming are the true endgame.
I like to think of it as an old adventurer retiring to their land to lead a peaceful life after facing The Horrors. Kill a demon king, raise chickens after. Such is life.

Listen I love valheim, bit it's mad that you've gotta kill a giant elemental skull creature to raise chickens.
Not being a dick cause I get you but it’s more of a progression thing so you can’t just have and op farm as boars are way harder to tame and breed

A talking bird brought us into the world… Logic is guesswork after that.
Remember,its the same game where killing a god is just some freetime hobby.
Do they sell “just egg” ? Or another non dairy egg substitute for vegans?
Put your wisp fountain in the swamp, best place i’ve found is around bonemass’s altar. The eternal rain provides enough darkness that wisps will come nonstop day or night. If you have 3-4 fountains you can almost nonstop harvest wisps.
If you take a cart you can ram it into the ward at one of those camps and as long as it's the cart breaking it the dwarves won't care. After the ward is gone you can then destroy anything you want with any weapon you want and again the dwarves won't get mad. Just a tip I learned. Also can can still harvest sap from a root that's dried up. It just does it very slowly. Lastly a black metal Atgeir spin attack will kill the ticks in one blow if they are on you. Might take more than one with a 1 or 2 star tick
For the skulls: If possible; start digging from below inside the skull: The soft tissue above will collapse when you remove the bottom layer.
I find that an Atgeir is excellent against most Mistlands mobs. Not just the Himmin afl, but the black metal atgeir as well. he secondary attack (middle mouse button) will murder any tick on you or near you. The secondary attack can knockback AND stagger most (no star) seekers.
Very useful, haven’t been to the mistlands yet so these will come in handy when I do!
I love how a giant bloodstain appears after the cut at 0:10
I think poison and specially frost arrows which you didn't even mention are the best to bring to mistlands (fire not so much, and the rest worse) most creatures are resistant (x.0.5) to pierce, so that's gonna be cut in half while elemental damage does full damage. I would never ever waste iron on arrows. Just my two cents after 2k hours enjoying the game. Skal!
with iron plentiful in the mists its not so bad to use now but he missed my go to the obsidian arrow
One thing about the rib cage is that they don't always spawn with a skull. I've found several rib cages w/out a skull.

I've found Deverger Crates that you can't see at all embedded in Rock. If you find a Deverger outposts with that black stone all through out it, use you're pickaxe and you may find a Crate. You can also get up against the walls and look around, even though its covered with stone you can through it. I had no idea they were there.
5:26 - good practice to sneak while marking anything ondamap, this way you have a confirmation noone sees/hears you.
I had to build a fully enclosed barn. Had two bat events within a single in-game week and they killed almost all my chickens. Twice.
You can make a double fence for ground mobs that's about 2 widths between each other for more safety, although it does take a bit more resources it's very worth it
Get away from the chickens during the raid. The raid comes for you, not your base. We do put all of our tames indoors because if the bats. Just stand next to a bonfire and watch the bats incinerate themselves. Raids always go for your tames as a top priority.
Just build "small castle" (stone house) for them.

I've been watching your valheim videos for a little while and they have helped me so much... I really appreciate your content. I've been playing on the Xbox but I really hope to get it on pc on the future.. the pc version definitely seems superior

I've been moving very slowly with a new playthrough and thought I'd give this a look, cant be that many spoilers. I'm gonna have to watch this later because the first few minutes is all stuff I didn't know about yet :D

I also got a couple eggs from the basement chests in the Sealed Tower, Hildir optional side quest.
I mean, you can parry with the torch as well.. So the fact that you can parry with another handheld light source isn't new.

God i hope they change the ballista shooting at players too, it makes them pratically useless as they're far more of a hinderance than help
Your Mistlands is so much brighter than mine. Only at mountain peaks are mine even close to that bright. Have the light and all. I fear if I turn brightness up the other bioms will be too bright when I need to collect materials.

I would love if they added a Zeppelin to the game. It would make traversing very high peaks a lot easier. That being said, it would make the game too easy I reckon so no chance it will be added likely.
They added one in modded last year. My friend was using it.
I feel like tameable, rideable drakes would be more thematic for the game.. there's a mod that used to let them be tameable, but it's outdated and broken currently
domesticated gjalls maybe?
Also running and jumping needs to be trained.
the ballista seems kinda useless if it also targets friendlies. i guess maybe you could put a couple in the back of your base if you never go that way but otherwise why would i put down a turret that shoots me?

Wait, why did you skip the frost arrows?
All the brain dead gamers crying about not getting DLC need to realized that this is a team of five individuals and whenever we do get DLC, it's always way more than we asked for. We have been blessed by content. I say take as long as the developers need to make it good. The game allows for unlimited ways to play and I just keep making my world better while I wait.
Honestly, I could see myself supporting this game in the same way I've supported Dwarf Fortress since late 2006 and Ultima Online even earlier lol

Use the special attack with the Atgir on ticks, 360 degrees smack :)
The best armor for the mistland is maxed padded armor with root chestplate
i honestly wish there were needle fire arrows or something. so that fire arrows dont get obsolete later on.

You dont need to be sheltered to to get the rested buff tho, just sit next to a fire
Fire arrows don't do a lot of damage, since they could be crafted very early in the game. Ice and poison arrows are great though!
It'd be neat (and now particularly useful) if the devs added a Conan Exiles-style climbing mechanic. So few games have such a system, and it only ever improves things.

you can deal with ticks and the small broods very easy with the heavy attack of the Polearm (atgeir middle mouse attack) :)

i havent consistently seen a head with ribs. sometimes i just find ribs. does that mean the head might be fully under ground and needs to be dug up? or spawned inside of stone formations?
Can someone answer this? Are there headless ribcage? Or do I just need to keep digging around?
I've found some that have heads and some that don't, there's been like a few times where I could see the head spawned inside rock formation or hill and dug up what I could of it. So I think it's good to dig to see but the ones that were inside rock I could see from outside and not completely hidden like silver is.

being that I haven't played this in a few months mist lands looks interesting. Personally I think it'd be better having an actual group to play considering this update. I might get back into valheim at this point

frostner isnt a good choice, most mistlands mobs are resistant to spirit. Rec the BM axe or porcupine for most damage.
But ! Frost dmg! never underestimate the power of CC, sometimes Defence is the best offence!

Can't you just buy 1 egg, let it hatch, then it lays an egg, now you have 2 chickens?
Unfortunately you have to have at minimum 2, to start the breeding process. After that, you have essentially unlimited meat, feathers, and eggs.

Nope I think thats absolutely terrible that its now yet another choice between the meg belt or something else. The way of life in the game is only getting more and more complicated and its not adding to the fun gor me but taking me out of it.

Okay. Wait. You have to beat one of the game's final bosses just to get into chicken farming? See, this is why I've just about given up on this game. Just about everything little mechanic is locked behind impossible amounts of grinding! I'm pretty sure these devs actually considered making the stone axe and wooden club take three real-life weeks to unlock but were talked out of it by somebody sane.
