    This reminds me of the tram parks that sprung up around the US post WWII.
    Basically tram companies would lose revenue during weekends because no one commutes, so they'd fund parks that are at the end of the tram lines, giving people an excuse on weekends to ride trams to the end of the line to these parks. Many developed into quite large and famous parks to this day, outliving their tram lines!

    Totally with you on the theme park thing. They bring to mind overflowing bins, wasps, nausea and manic screaming children. _Truly_ nightmarish 🙈
    However, your detailing and design, with lush tropical vibes and shady trees here has made it MUCH more palatable, I think

    Really nice series so far. I would suggest that after showing everything you have planned for the vanilla game, you could continue this same series using mods to build other neighborhoods. Like a noobs guide for a modded city. Thank you!

    Like your self I'm not a fan of amusement parks in irl. And don't build them in my city's. Now I'm inspired to try my hand at building one in my city. I see in this content It's all in the detailing. Love the use of the integration of the tram.

    I loved what you have done with your amusement park.Only suggestion I could make is adding some exhibition buildings to fill out your space a bit: a Woman's Pavilion, or just an exhibition hall, even a city park administration building. Lots of good assets to fill those needs. I think what you did with the haunted house turned out really great. Really has a nice atmosphere.

Great eggisms--already documented- and it's a good thing we now know not to ever surprise you with amusement park tickets. Don't want you throwing up in King Brad's Thunderboxes! Love love love

    Excellent build on what I consider to be the least appealing of the Park Life collections. I like how you mirrored some of the smaller assets to create most robust looking spaces. I know you are working vanilla here, but one of my wishes is to see a full blown theme park set of assets on the workshop. There's so much opportunity for dozens of cool buildings, rides and attractions, and so much inspiration to draw from, I'm surprised we haven't seen anything of note yet. Regardless, thanks Egg, for your entertaining work!

    I love how amusement parks are not the biggest favourites of Overcharged Egg (in my subjective view), but he still makes great and fun parks. :)
    Like the haunted house part especially.
    Although, the pendulum might not be allowed in that place in real life, too much of a danger of it or a person falling on a tram at some point. :)

    The Drop Tower may have given of some angle spice if it was angled into the grid like the Haunted House in the other corner of the park. Do not know if the Roller Coaster and the Ferris Wheel can be placed at angle. Will have to wait and see. :)

  • @jeffjeff376
    @jeffjeff376 Před 2 lety

    My problem with the amusement park assets is definitely the tile pattern, but not because the pattern itself is ugly/corny. I don't like my parks to be rigid grids, I like to let the paths meander and curve (as they often do IRL). But the patterned tiles under most of the amusement park assets look really bad against curved roads, and it can be an eyesore to see them near each other but out of alignment. I only recently started using BOB, I wonder if those tiles are considered props and can be taken off? I'll have to check.
