Ah, a new beginning with the vanilla cs1 build. Can't wait for the lores and how they all come together to make an interesting storyline.

I'm still of the opinion that this should have been a part of the game to begin with incl line tools, move it and all of the essentials. I still have a hard time getting excited about it when everyone was so disappointed for so long.

I hope they didn't remove the concrete -> building upkeep supply chain. I'm assuming they haven't. Having that interconnection between different parts of the city's economy/simulation is something I love.

I got a little lost with the train track because it was night time and when I try to place the traffic park it says I need way more public transit workers, is there a setting that I have missed?

The building upgrades is the one thing I'm most excited about. However, the zone in which we can place the buildings appears quite small. I was hoping for a larger area to work but this looks to be a promising start.

I can't wait! This is going to be interesting to see you build a vanilla city with all the features that were added during Orchid Bay's life. You'll be able to add the Brooklyn style buildings at the start, with sports venues and parking lots. This is going to be fun! Edit: I went back to the always helpful tier list for all the DLC maps that you made. This will be an interesting map to build on from your comments in the video. The only negative being the smaller build area, but this works out since I don't imagine this city will last for 18 months, but we can hope, right?

It's not that these changes aren't welcome to me it's that I need player assets. When the fixes finally get patched I will get on and dink around for a day or so and then put it all away until the next update --- no point in building anything long term yet.

Finally. Still can’t zone low density residential anywhere except the middle of nowhere and then they complain about lack of metro (which is unrealistic)

I really wish I could buy the San Francisco pack independently.

Game still needs modular industries and trucks that actually transport goods / materials around the city. Also needs traffic light management and intersection yield signs.

That change to the sub building upgrades should definitely produce more variety in designs

Vanilla is the ticket, excited for this. Always have had trouble with mods breaking the game so switched to console and enjoyed it a lot more because you can just play. A lot of the CS CZcamsrs who do heavily modded builds make beautiful stuff but also seem to miss that this isn't really how most people experience the game. Egg, you've really shown yourself to be one of the more ethical and open creators in the CS community since October. Please keep up the good work.

YES, PLEASE, EGG! I loved Palaven... so I'm sure I'll love Rannoch! As someone who grew up in the Adirondacks and now lives in the Blue Ridge, I MUST camp at the lighthouse and take my canoe out to paddle to those little islands in the river. Mondays with EGG are the BEST!!! 🥰🥰🥰

CO is fixing what they think is most important ("If you don't like the simulation, this game isn't for you!") I'm not sure they realize that the list you, CPP and Biffa gave them are, for many of us, a higher priority - or at least equal.

Looks interesting but I'm still staying away until the game gets more refined with mods and assets. I'm back at CS1 and still find I can do so much more than with CS2. One of my biggest disappointments with CS2 was the development tree. It's so bland and sparse compared to unlocking achievement levels in CS1.
