- This is not intended to be a substitute for taking classes and learning from people in person. I mention that very clearly in the video. This is only to help people to understand how they work and their basics.
Talking about rifle basics. Including calibers, difference in semi auto and bolt action, safeties, and safety rules. - Jak na to + styl
- *_Remember My Friend - MATTY - And You Will Always Be Safe._*
- *M = Muzzle* - Always keep the Muzzle/Barrel pointed in a Safe Direction, which is most often Down Range.
- *A = Action* - Keep your Bolt Open and the Gun Empty until you are on the Firing Line ready to shoot.
- *T = Trigger* - Keep your finger off the Trigger until you are on the firing line ready to shoot.
- *T = Target* - Make sure of your Target and what is behind and around it before you pull the Trigger.
- *Y = Your Gun* - YOUR GUN, or any gun you are handling, should always be treated as if it were loaded.
Hi G A, i watched your video from start to finish and i applaud you for explaining all aspects of safe shooting for the beginners. Although i have been shooting for over 50 years i always follow those 4 basic rules.
1. Treat every gun as thought it is loaded.
2. Never point your gun at anything you do not wish to destroy,
3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
4. Always be sure of your backstop.
You are an inspiration to all new shooters and your clear and concise delivery is a credit to you.
Well done.
All the best from the UK, stay safe.
I have a job interview tomorrow at a gun store. I’ve already obtained my fire arms permit. All I can say is thank you for all this valuable information. I’m confident in myself &’ my ability to carry a tools as such responsibly. Thank you 💯
Turning 21 so figured I needed to know the basics thanks mate
Hopefully the newbies are watchin'
Solo PAC , yes , we are🤚🏽
we are lol
first gun owner, yup i am
right here, id love to learn more but its a bit difficult to find good educational content online at the moment.
@@gglocki Check out John Lovell, James Yeager, Colion Noir, Travis Haley, Reid Henrichs, Tactical Rifleman, Sage Dynamics.... there are much more, but off of the top of my head these are they guys I'd train with if I could, Tons of firearms knowledge in the names above✌🏾
I found this very informative, thanks.
Fabulous video! Straight to the point, no fancy language, great teacher. Thank you!
I really appreciate your videos. They're very helpful.
If you truly think about helping a completely new person who knows nothing about a gun. They never should use a firearm of any sort to learn gun safety. Starting out with a handgun is totally not the place to start. They make bolt-action air soft rifles that make perfect learning tools. Then moving to an air soft pistol. It just makes perfect sense for many reasons. Guns make loud sounds that scare people who know nothing about firearms. If someone is afraid they make mistakes. You want them to learn not to be afraid and to respect the dangers of a firearm. You can teach all the basics of safety and marksmanship without the danger of using a real firearm. They can practice for hours in the garage or basement with little chance of injury. Truthfully if they are not ready to learn or don’t follow safety rules well they should never go any further. The traditional single shot rimfire rifle is the first gun anyone should shoot. A single shot pistol is too, guns that shoot more than once add dangerous conditions. Learning to operate firearms that require more steps to load and unload might seem simple to you, but remember the person you are teaching is not you.
Would a pcp air rifle be good for an absolute beginner? My mom wants me to get a real rifle but I feel like i don't know enough to even touch one yet.
@@oogabooga5752 Yes, an air rifle would be a good start. Keep in mind, even a pellet rifle can be deadly if misused. Just be sure you know your target and what is behind it. A good next step would be a .22 Marlin 60, or a .22 Ruger 10-22 rifle. Just make sure that you have good instruction until you feel confident in its use, because a .22 can most certainly be deadly for out to a mile or more. Can't shoot it up in the air; no crow hunting.
thank you so much for the information, and another big thank you for how particularly useful & efficient your teaching style/method is!
i love how you explain everything simple but you also go in depth cheers man
Great video, thanks for the basic and comprehensive guide!
Well done. There is way more to learn than a video can provide. Everyone should be trained by someone who knows the platform they are learning. I bet nearly everyone knows someone who can either help or refer them to someone who can.
Great video man! This video deserve more love !!!
👍👍👍
you explain so detailed that even first time watcher gets the idea, thank!
Really enjoyed this video! Also going to be getting a class on how to properly use, clean and just know more about the rifle!
Great video man! I am very new and this was extremely helpful. I won’t list everything that was useful, because it was it all! Hah. Thanks man! Definitely subbing and continuing to watch your content!
I appreciate the video. Definitely going to be watching more of your content. Thank you !
Thanks for you clarity, you’re a good communicator.
Hey bud I'm a big fan of your videos and thanks for making this one I know I was one that requested it. Anyway you can make a 2.0 version that explains more of the different types of rifles meaning AK47 AR15 and other common ones. The power behind those etc?
This was super helpful and easy to understand. Thank you.
I think guns are awsome and I really want to learn more about them so I know what I am getting into. Thanks for your help!
very good I love how you emphasize safety
Thanks brotha ..appreciate you doing this.
Hi! Thanks for this video. I don't know when it came out but thank you! My Grandpa taught me about rifles last summer and I am now really detirmined to learn everything I possibly can. I feel like a nerd and a newbie. So sorry to all the veterans but I have to start somewhere. Don't worry I know the saftey rules! But really thank you this was very helpful
Thank you!!
Great basic review! Thanks for this.
Nice video. Thank you for the information
Thank you for clear the educational video.
EXCELLENT video. Well done!
Wow this video it’s so educational! Thank you for sharing your knowledge
I love this! A very educative video for a beginner....pls more videos
Great video. Thank you!
Very informative with safety priority
Thank you.
Preparing as a worker in a gun shop after having an eduaction as Shop Worker for electronic devices and since I only know things about handguns- I‘m here
This was really helpful. Thankyou so much
I want to add that there is a button in semi auto rifle whenever the magazine gets empty while shooting we put another mag and simple press the button instead of pulling the bolt carrier handle which puts a bullet into the chamber
Despite almost not being able to legally acquire any sort of projectile weapon besides my bows and crossbows which of I'm only allowed to carry is my bow.
I'm still just absorbing all the information possible about responsible handling of projectile accelerators xD
Good teacher. Excellent work.
Very informative, thank you
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much. You have great videos
Very well done. Thank you
this video is super helpful!
This was a good "primer" lesson (see what I did there?). In all the years I've been shooting, it never occurred to me to use a plastic wall anchor as a dummy round! Very clever... The only thing I would say that kinda made me a bit uncomfortable was to see ANY live rounds being used for the mag demonstrations. TO THE NEWBIES: Save your live rounds for when you're at the range.
Thank you. Very thorough video.
Glad it was helpful!
I live in a country where owing guns is very hard so I don't expect any time soon to get have a rifle but I find them so interesting and beautiful.
What country, Rogener?
Great video.
Not super new to rifles, but I am going to buy one soon when I turn 18 and get back from the military. Very very informative and educational. I might have to show this to some friends so they can learn more about this topic. Great video :)
Woah same situation, I ship out to basic sep 18✌
@@redbridge889 , hope you guys are doing great! Thank you for your service! xo
This helped thank you 🙏
Thanks!
Good stuff
Thanks dude you teach us in Baby steps!
Happy to help!
can you also do a shotgun for beginners? appreciate it.
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
Safety first 👍🏾
How about the dust cover on the bolt carrier? What conditions should you flip it into place? How do you reopen it if it gets shut unintentionally?
That was very informative thank you for the video.
Thank You!
Thanks
great infor Thank You
You bet!
Wow.. amazing explanation.. 👏👏👏 thank you officer
Thanks and welcome
I watched the handgun guide and am in the process of watching this guide, will there be a shotgun guide?
What state are you in, if you don’t mind me asking? Just curious, you have so many weapons!
Hello l have a question is the remington woodmaster rifle a sniper rifle?
Thank you so much for this. I should have watched you instead of googling
Whats the name/type of gun is the semi automatic?
great. im getting ready to buy a tank
Dumb questions... handguns are obvious but how do I tell the difference in a shotgun and a rifle? Are they the same? What the difference in a round, cartridge, and shell?
Do you have a caliber size chart for other guns, like you had for the handguns?
Can you talk more about Rugers and also important accessories?
A shotgun generally has a larger diameter bore, with a thinner barrel wall than a rifle. It has no rifling, or spiraled grooves cut in the barrel, which send a single projectile spinning on a straighter flight path, as with a rifle. A shotgun fires a shell, containing a primer and a charge that propels a number of projectiles together in a group, in what's called a pattern. A rifle fires a cartridge, containing the primer and charge, but a single projectile, capable of longer range and greater accuracy than a shotgun. The primer, charge, and projectile, together for any firearm can be called a round. Large military and artillery rounds are also commonly called shells, although technically, any small arms round can also be referred to as a shell.
What happens if you pull the trigger before chambering a round?
Dry fire
Staylo is correct - a dry fire. On most rimfire firearms (.22s), this is to be avoided, or it may damage the firing pin or receiver. On most or many centerfire actions, it is ok. Check the manual on your particular firearm, or google it.
I think the proper place to start is .22 rifle for about 2 years. until you fired it good 10-15 times and learned gun handling aiming and gun responsibility probably similar situation with a revolver start at .22 develop responsibility combined with good handling and store in safe place and manner learn to carry it and draw it aim it etc. until it becomes part of your second nature probably if you are not serious about this maybe you are better of without a gun it belongs in responsible hand so you never regret using or owning a gun ( probably police officers defence personnel or game wardens ) this should also be the standard for you I believe right now I have no guns only junior bow and arrow and hunting knife
Still Waitig For The SHOUTGUN BASICS for absolute beginners
Dude could've made separate videos for each gun so that beginners don't get confused.
Can we put those dummy round in hand gun
Aarush M Saxena if it’s a .22 then yeah
You can find dummy rounds, or "snap caps" for just about every popular caliber firearm. Google can be your friend in this.
Why would anyone get a bolt action rifle over semi auto ??
Dumb question: Why do snipers use bolt-action rifles? (At least in the movies they do.)
Bolt action seems like a lot of work lol
2:56 📸🤨
Great video, but I am not gonna lie but the safety bits are bit too long
Be VERY careful w calibers that include “-06” like 25-06 or 30-06. Put a 30-06 in a 25-06 rifle chamber and both you and your rifle will have a very bad day
"-06", as in ".30-06" refers to a .30 caliber cartridge that was introduced in 1906 ("06"). So, yes, it would not be a good idea to try to fire a .30 caliber round in a .25 caliber rifle. I don't think it would fit, though.
No it's not fine to call them clips. They're mags. Lol anyone who calls em clips, you know what kind of shooter they are lol 😂
WHAT KIND OF GLOCK IS THAT??
Wow if your goal was to add more confusion and questions for new gun owners you did it def. way to make everything more complicated and explain little
50 shades Of FDE where’s your instrxnl vid? Easy to complain about a problem when you don’t offer a solution Post a better video that fixes his mistakes .
The guy did his best to explain. This is a practical topic it's hard to put it to someone on a video but I think he did great👍
I think he did a fabulous job. He has a great ability to explain the things most of us don't have the patience or insight to address. It might have benefitted a bit if he'd gone ahead and explained what a .22LR is when he mentioned it.
Guns are dangerous in the wrong hands
Oh look, the floor here is made of floor!
I never took a course. I don’t desire this communist government knowing all about me. My Dad taught me!
