Dogs barking, roosters crowing, neighbours shouting at each other in the early morning.. Add in the trying to start an old diesel engined car on a cold morning and the taxi driving neighbour coming home at 3am and setting off his burglar alarm and it's pretty much like life here where I live in the north of England..
LOL, funny you mentioned that - my brother and I still joke about the old diesel jeepney that would start up in the ally next to my then, finances house at 4:30am!
You forgot about the guys on loudspeakers on trikes selling dried fish. Starts at 6am or earlier.

Great overview - thanks for putting together this insightful summary. With a Cebu base I'm hoping to check out some of these places this winter. It's a very tough decision - so many options - and we haven't even mentioned Palawan, Bohol, Siargao, Bantayan etc. So far I'm leaning towards Cebu or Dumaguete but keeping options open pending more exploration.
I really appreciate the thoughtful way that you present this material here (and in all of your other videos). You have a very nice method of providing us with this information. Many of these are places that I had not heard of before, and I look forward to exploring them to find the place where I am the most comfortable. I am very excited about my upcoming trip in December and January, and I keep looking forward to your next videos to help me learn more. Thank you for all that you do.

Thanks for all of this useful information Rubeauti, you really did a lot of research on this topic. My usual base is Cebu City, but it’s easy to travel to many places from there. Last trip I visited five new islands / cities. Baguio and a couple of your other recommendations look interesting. It’s only Manila I probably won’t return to.

Rubeauti you have very good timing I really enjoyed this video talking about the different places for a person could live and what they offer each place. I will be leaving on the 30th of November and one of my first stops is Tarlac conception then I plan to go to Dumaguete and then baguino. Your video had a lot of great information about the expenses and the type of place each area had to offer.

Awesome vid. I’m moving to Cebu in a couple of weeks but already think it’s just my landing spot and will probably move on within a year. Something a little quieter and better beach access would be ideal. Thank you for your videos. I really appreciate them.
Check out Anda beach in Bohol if you want to swim. It has a white sandy bottom out into the ocean. Most other beaches like Moalboal etc. are rocky reefs once you get out into the water, or else it's rocky or muddy or only ankle deep. Alona Beach in Panglao is good but there's a hundred boats parked there even in the swimming area.
Good info. Dumaguete seems to be the place now. Lots of expats there. We have a friend from there originally. A few good stories in Valencia.

@@Rubeauti I bet there's money that could be made in private academies. But one in the Philippines might still be quite affordable compared with one in the U.S., for example. And if You pay teachers better, you can hire better teachers. Then You can charge a little more. And that's more profit.

Hi Rubeauti. Nice video with lots of good info. For me places like Manila, Cebu and Davao are ok to visit but not too live. Too big and crowded for me. I am currently in Dumaguete checking out the area and it just might be the place I will live. I still have a couple other places to go before I decide but Dumaguete has just about everything I will need for retirement. Keep smiling and stay safe

Other sources of noise you overlooked: loud videoke machines in people's homes (unless the power is out).....along with singing fuel by the consumption of Red Horse or a homemade batch of Tuba! Just as those activities are wrapping up, the roosters are out back clearing their throats in preparation for your wake up call. And if you're in the city, frequent use of a vehicles' horn is a time-honored tradition in that part of the world.

Thank you for the information. We made our settlement in Davo City and Island Garden City of Samal. Davao is a bit crowded, but if you head to the nearby Samal Island, you'll have pure nature. With a short ferry ride from Samal to Davao you have all the facilities of a large metropolis, including an international airport, mals and entertainment.
Terrible beaches. Nope
On Samal Island there are some nice white beaches, i know 5. The best one is on Talikud. Our own beach ist with sand an pebble but cristal clear water. Nevertheless i love Island Garden City of Samal, @@Midwest10

And you now experiment with 2 different camera angles, again a new editorial upgrade for your channel, I love that you keep on improving your skill level and it shows us that you are gorgeous from any angle 🙂
If I am going to move half a world away I don't know if I am going to make my decisions based on where a Starbucks coffee shop is located, but it is good to know that Manilla offers convenient transportation by Skateboards because I don't know if I'll still be able to drive a car once I hit my 80's!
Rubi, I know that you just moved and am probably still unpacking but is the neon light "hello" sign going to return soon in your videos? The light bars and twinkle lights are cool (mine are not spread out on my sofa) but I really like the "hello" light.
World Cup soccer has now started and I'll be spending a lot of time watching the games in addition to working hard but I will still make the time to watch your videos so keep them coming.
