Hi, at the range you are shooting, accuracy should be terrific. I would find other ammo that your pistol likes as far as function that shoots center of the bull. Erratic shots shown in the video are not worth the time. Cheap ammo ( I mean poor accuracy from ammo) can be not only frustrating but misleading of your shooting skills. When you find some accurate ammo that your gun likes confidence soars and gives assurance. As an aside, your barrel may not be returning to battery the same after each shot. This will also cause inconsistency in where your bullet lands. It can be common for a first shot to fall outside your group but with the ammo you show, there isn’t really a classic group. It sounds like you were more interested in testing function and that’s great. Find some good aftermarket match ammunition and try it. Knowing if it’s ammunition or firearm will save you some money, time and effort. Remember,1911’s like wet lubrication especially if it’s new.
Did you get this 1911 10mm to run right if so what did you do to get it running right?
After about 120 - 150 rounds it settled down. It's fine with my preferred hollow points and with Federal hard cast. I now trust it as much as any other gun and carry it for bears. Glad to hear from you. Thanks for watching.
@@locacarnivore900 no problemo Thanks
The closest to Norma spec for practice loads is going to be Sig Sauer
I concur. I was so impressed with their 180 grain FMJ load, I think it would make a fair bear load if that's all one could get.
What was the knife in the picture?
Gerber BMF. I think it is out of production.
@@locacarnivore900 it is out of production. I couldn’t see the handle so wasn’t sure what it was.
It looked more like the knife they came out with during the our time in Somalia.
I can’t remember the name of it for sure but think it was called the patriot (I’m probably wrong on that)
@@locacarnivore900 I just looked it up, the one I thought it was is the patriot
Thanks for the reply
7:14 PMC 200 gr FMJ 10mm is garbage. At least it was for me. Totally jammed my Springfield TRP. Choked the heck out of my gun. Maybe Springfield 1911’s don’t like it. Who knows, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
Anyone else wondering if @LocaCarnivore is @adminstrativeresults dad? Definitely a resemblance.
Bzzzt! Wrong. Would you like to try for Double Jeopardy where the scores can really add up?
