Seems like that building also serves as a warehouse of sorts? Since it directly connects to the helipad, it'd be good for storing material and machinery delivered by air. The workers' social areas could be in the second floor, and private quarters on the last few.

Since you question everything when it comes to an oilrig, let me explain!
I work in offshore( delivering supplies to oil rig by boat and crane) and have seen a couple of them. The oil well drill is typically i the middle this is to both stabylize the drill and also to protect the drill pipe from big wave, the accomidations are even sometims on another platform, connected by a bridge.
Sorry if it seems im ranking, im not just explaining, just in case if you were to builg a new oilrig.

I've made a Mall on a server. The majority of the Mall was made through legit (non creative) and it's quite big.
Took me over 3 years to build and unfortunately I've never finished it and the server shut down.
However I do have an old save of the world and I wonder if people could mess around with it.
Its a cool idea but I unfortuantely don't have time for big projects at the moment :o
The mall is nearly completed though.
But yeah I guess it would be a fairly big project.

You should use mods for these technical builds, there are SOOO many new blocks and things and machines you can use to make things look even better, you cannot believe it! :D
