      > "What else should we react to from Marc Martel?"
Well, Marc did a KILLER version of a Queen "deep cut," called "Let Me Entertain You," in collaboration with Warren Huart and the guys at "Produce Like A Pro." The song starts at 2:35, btw.

Have you ever wondered what it would sound like, if Pavarotti and Freddie did a duet? Well, it might sound something like "The Mercurotti." Stay for the last scene of the video, btw. It's all about the straight line.

And, what happens when Marc and the guys get a day off and go to the beach? This is Marc along with Tristan Avakian and Brandon Ethridge, doing "Seaside Rendezvous."

On the other hand, Marc DOES have the blessing of Freddie's family along with their thanks for keeping Freddie's music alive. This is a really old video of Marc singing Queen. It was the introduction of Queen Extravaganza to the world (Roger Taylor's official tribute band), it wasn't meant as a "Marc Martel joins Queen", which never happened. If anything, he sounds more like Freddie now, almost twelve years later. He has said he is a better singer now because of his time singing Freddie's songs.

0:20 - Marc has never toured with Queen.
1:02 - The auditions for Queen Extravaganza were held in 2011 and they did their first tour in 2012. American Idol was the only time Brian and Roger (Queen) EVER appeared with Queen Extravaganza.
6:56 - That was their FIRST live performance. Roger Taylor's original concept for the band was to have a couple guitar players and several singers that each sang lead on SOME of the songs. However, he soon found that Marc was more than capable of singing lead full time without hurting his voice, so he became the only singer and the others were let go, as was the second guitarist. The guitarist wearing black in the video (who played behind his head) is Tristan Avakian. He was the one who was kept. BTW, Tristan is still with Marc's band today and even has an incredible CZcams Channel of his own.
8:22 - Marc doesn't imitate Freddie at all. He doesn't copy his moves, dress up like him, or anything. That's just Marc being himself on stage. He really does move around a lot and has a lot of fun interacting with the audience, but he doesn't do any "Freddie-isms."
As far as background goes... Marc fronted his own multiple award winning Christian band (called "downhere") for over 10 years. Then he auditioned for Roger Taylor and won the lead with "Queen Extravaganza," Queen's "official" tribute band, in late 2011. He sang with them until the end of 2016. When they were not going to tour in 2017, he started his own cover band, "Ultimate Queen Celebration." He's performed with them since, along with "Black Jacket Symphony" (they do EXACT recreations of famous albums, in live concerts), "Symphonic Queen" (in Mexico, with a full symphony orchestra), and as part of "One Vision Of Queen" (a re-named UQC). He frequently tours central and eastern Europe, either with his band or with local musicians recruited for the tour. He's done concerts around the world, appearing multiple years in such far-flung locations such as Israel and Australia.
Marc also did vocals for the "Bohemian Rhapsody" movie. The 30+ year old analog magnetic tape master recordings would not have been up to modern "Dolby Atmos" digital quality standards, so they used a technique called "vocal layering," where they blended Marc's voice with Freddie's. If they didn't have a good copy of Freddie singing something they wanted in the movie, it was purely Marc singing it. for some reason, they gave Marc almost ZERO credit in the movie and after. But, if it wasn't for Marc, that movie could never have been made. You can see the tracks in this photo from the Live Aid scene mixing board, where Freddie's track is "LV-STEM LVAID DRY FREDDIE_01" and Marc's track is "LV-STEM LVAID_01," directly beneath it.

Marc has several albums of his own music out as well. In December 2019, Marc was the special guest star for the Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant Christmas tour. He brought the house down every night. The three of them released their cover of "Silver Bells" which went to number one on the Christian Music chart. For Christmas 2020, Marc teamed with Amy Grant to release their cover of "The Christmas Waltz," a Frank Sinatra song. Marc has also released albums of his own music, traditional Christmas music, and other covers.

Here are some highlights from Marc's band, on their 2022 tour. The band used to be called Ultimate Queen Celebration. It had a name change and is now One Vision of Queen, but is the same band. czcams.com/video/xxzhl0sJGlw/video.html

Definitely check out Marc's CZcams channel for his covers of Queen songs. You will not regret it.
This is the only time that I know of where Marc performed live with Brian May and Roger Taylor. Even when he was super nervous performing on camera in front of a national audience, he could get the crowd singing just like Freddie could.

For Roger and Brian it would have been hard to tour with Marc.... they both can hear Freddie when Marc sings, and it's too emotional. There was an interview with them about this. But I think they would have gotten over it and realized they had a real gem with Marc. Problem is Marc is religious, which the Left hate, and removing their current singer to include Marc would have been a real issue with the current cancel culture that would have beaten them to death for doing such a thing.
