    Such a fine and inspiring tutorial for subjects that might otherwise be intimidating. Also very appreciative of your channel, thank you!

    Thanks for coming through for us again! I just purchased DearVR Pro and DearVR monitor. I''m Still experimenting. My only problem so far is no ability to monitor and explore height information in DearVR Monitor. I love the quality though.

    So just of the top of my head without trying it yet -- in the light of the discovery of the linking of panners for sends (Nov 9th/2022 'simple' Dolby Atmos reverb video tutorial -- I'm thinking the DearVR Pro is a Send rather than a panner and thus the reverb will respond to the panning of the object in the Bed. This is pure thought experiment and likely comes with some wrinkles attached but still... worth a bash perhaps. Nice one!

      Boy! The whole panner thing in Cubase is pretty murky, yes? It's scary to see panners displaying in the Link window behind slots where there are no Send entries... I'm trying to convince myself that panning an object with an effect properly linked, when handled delicately, is a worthwhile goal. But another part of me is saying, "My effect space is not going to be the Dolby Atmos listeners' space so why bother?" Binaural seems like the only mode where environment / ambience might be reasonably controlled by the creator. Or maybe I just don't understand how it works. Happy to be corrected. And enlightened.

      If you work with DearVR you could not do it that way. You would simply have to send the object audio without panning to a helper track and use DearVR there fro the panning.

      @@michaelgwagner Thank you. Yes, I had abandoned the FX Channel approach for a Group track insert. In addition, the track Link feature in the Mix Console is more intuitive for me. I would have discovered the Pre- fader tweak sooner or later... Still, as you intimate in many places, it's not clear it's worth it, at least in the project I'm working on at the moment. As always, grateful for your help!

    Very cool vid! I wasn't sure about DearVR and its application for this. Awesome insight! Cheers

    Everytime is see some ad for one of the great but expensive reverb plugins such as the Liquisonic ones, I want to buy it... But then I remember that I already own DearVR Pro (I got it on sale) and it is enough for needs.

      A Liquidsonics reverb is going to make an appearance in my videos very soon btw. ;)

    Loved this! Will it work in Logic Pro the same way? Do you have to setup busses to hear the original sound and the reverb/reflected sound or can you just add it to the sound on an insert?

      I’m not that familiar with Logic but it should work.

    Very Interesting

  • @JimijaymesProductions

    Am I right in thinking that while it can follow panning automation because it is a panner and a plugin that it couldn't take an already panned audio file and add reverb to it. For example say we recorded a drum kit with surround mics it will be summed to mono and then add the space. Is there an atmos reverb that has a 7.1.4 input so you can use an already 3d signal and add realistic reverb.

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  Před rokem

      You would not use 7.1.4 because bed channels are limited to 7.1.2. But there are many reverbs that can do that. Most people in this space like the Liquidsonics reverbs, Cinematic Rooms in particular.

    Great video! Do you not need the Dolby Renderer set to Binaural mode while you're using headphones?

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  Před 2 lety +2

      You don’t need to set it. If you don’t Cubase will just downmix it to stereo.

    Sir how to use free Dolby music paner plugin in cubase and nuendo for panning and automation of objects

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  Před rokem

      I don’t think you can, but why would you use it? In Cubase and Nuendo that functionality is integrated into the standard panner.

    • @RaviKumar-qh5pe

      @@michaelgwagner because I automate objects in cubase and ADM export also done it.when i import to davinci resolve fairlight using import ADM file the automotion deta is not shown.also in space view scope movement of object is not available...why I don't know....i think if I use Dolby music panner this problem is solved

    • @michaelgwagner
      @michaelgwagner  Před rokem

      I honestly have not tried that, but I very much doubt it he music panner would solve your issue. If you have Nuendo try yo reimport the ADM (Cubase can’t do that) to check if this is an issue with the ADM export or with DaVinci.
