Steve, Marilyn was a nice lady, I enjoyed pt.2 her stories about her times she spent with ELVIS! Parker wanted nobody to get close to Elvis to give him new music or influence Elvis in anyway to break away from Parker. I wish he would’ve known about him being an illegal , if he knew Elvis would have went to Japan, UK, and other countries because he was world known! He could’ve been so much more than we will ever know ! Elvis WAS NOT AN ADDICT HE HAD TOHAVE THE MEDICATION TO HELP HIM WITH HIS PAIN!!!!! So people need to stop with saying he overdosed on drugs, HE DIDN’T!!!! Keep up the great work and interviews they are great!!!!

We should all help others if we can the way Elvis. I’ll never forget the one the mafia guys told about the old black lady with no legs. Elvis got her a electric wheelchair and they took it to her home. When they left her house, someone with them said Elvis I don’t think she knew who you were. He said it doesn’t matter. She knows someone cares.
He found out BJ THOMAS NEEDED a buss. He called JD Sumner help me find a buss for them. JD knee who to call. So he found one. Elvis gave him a. Blank check. So he got it and brought it back to Graceland.
Then JD and Elvis took it to BJs house. Told him here’s the keys. It’s fir you all. Come see if you like it.

Enjoyed hearing from this woman. I agree with her views on the labels pinned on him, books written and find it pathetic that we know details about things that we have no business knowing. Fame should not be an automatic open door to very private details or being dissected like this man is.
Labels, conjecture, never ending, always changing and embellished stories are endless when it comes to him.
I care about his generosity, humble demeanor and all he accomplished in his very short life. More than myself or most could do in 10 lifetimes. Vicki

People jus use Elvis as a CASH COW TO MAKE MONEY! It’s sad to see people taking cheap shots at him in interviews, books, documentaries, he was so generous sharing his wealth with his friends and people he didn’t even know, but he was from a poor humble home. His mama raised him to be thoughtful of everyone’s feelings and to LOVE ❤️ GOD!!!

When Roy Hamilton had his stroke Elvis sent him flowers until he died. He also sent a rose every week to Roy's mother for 6 mos. after he died. Before Roy's stroke Elvis gave Roy a song that he (Elvis) was going to record. Elvis thought surely it would be a. #1hit but sadly it didn't climb up the charts. Everybody was wrapped up in the British invasion by that time and weren't into ballads by then.

Elvis lost about 10 lbs of water weight each show.He drank Gatorade to maintain his electrolyte balance. After each show his adrenaline was so high that he could not sleep..so he took sleep meds.Elvis said the music just kept pounding in his brain. He had to have about 8 hrs sleep he said to perform well. And to be fully awake, he took dexedrine which was not considered addictive in the sixties and seventies.People judging him for that..well everyone im America or half of it were taking dexedrine. At times on stage he was not completely awake because the sleep meds had not worn off..not due to any drug he unneedlessly took. He discusses why he did not have colon surgery..likely would have to wear a bag forever. That is not part of his image he wanted. So he tried medicatio therapy instead..Kathy Westmoreland said he needed the drugs to live.A doctor friend of Elvis said to control his pain, he needed stronger meds than what he was taking. Also steroids destroyed his back.Fans need to lighten up about Elvis. He did what he could to survive and please us by performing. In my opinion , MJ fans keep the ped...ile lie going to detract from what MJ did. They deny MJ was ever one and get fighting mad aboutt it MJ settled out of court with his child accuser. The FBI raided his hoise and got lots of evidence. But it is good Elvis that takes the blame..It is like look at this shiny object over here. Let us accuse Elvis. It is .called bait and switch.Every Elvis fan , to keep his legacy alive, has to discredit all the lies about him.And yes, Elvis died from a heart attack.I believe the autopsy report.

Everybody always talks about how physically fit he looked in the 68 special.Elvis talked about what little he could eat because the movies wanted him to weigh 165 lbs..well he did on a starvation diet of 500 calories.Elvis was six feet tall and had shoulders like a linebacker.165 lbs was not normal for a man of his size..and he was not physically fit.He was malnourished and skinny. He weighed 180 to 190 upon leaving the army.He was slim but his body was filled out. That was physically fit. In Change of Habit he is so skinny, his pants look like they would fall off. Too much unrealistic perfection was expected of Elvis im so many things he did.Imagine having to live under so much scrutiny.

You say nice. I always thought Elvis was underweight for a long time in the '60s because of his appearance in movies even on 68 scb he looked very thin! I think as much as being overweight is bad for your health being underweight is just as dangerous. Elvis was tall and that overweight in recent years did not make him obese and in the case of colon surgery if he did he might never be able to perform again. I do not think he necessarily took the medicine to get high or something he needed many of them to survive.

@@rosehoary8906 Right Rose. He is a six foot man, a mature adult, weighing 160 lbs durirg his 68 special. Yes, he looked great but he was so skinny that he would not take off his shirt at the beach or to go swimming. He never was fat. People talk about how great of shape he was in in that black leather. I think he likely was his best shape in 1960 to 1962..just out of the army where he trained hard every day. Most if his life he had 42 inch soulders , 42 inch chest and a thirty inch waist. That was a natural size an easy for him to maintain through his army years. When he got older he dieted on 500 calorie a day..not enough nutrition to feed a rabbit.

@@margarettaylor8107 I think Elvis's body shape was such that if he was overweight it would thicken around his waist abdomen and face which would make him look fatter than he was. Although a weight of 170 pounds is great for someone his height he could go up to 190 pounds. There is no doubt that he was overweight but he seemed more bloated probably because of the type of medicine he was taking. Although as an artist in the entertainment industry being fit is an important factor. from a health point of view it was better for him to have a better weight also when you love someone and you want to see him in the best possible way. Anyway I think he still looked more handsome and younger than many of his peers.

@@rosehoary8906 Yes, he stayed extra thin because of his business. He did bloat as far back as 1967.. Priscilla talks about his swollen hands. How many entertainers get their weight focused on like Elvis? Michael Jackson? Nobody focuseds on how much he weighed especially on his deathbed. He was a skeletan at 112 lbs. What about all thise nose surgeries turning into a real life protaganist freak flr his Thriller video? What about his oxygen chambers and his turning whiter than white people? What about how skinny and ugly John Lenon was? Nope, it is just Elvis that people critize so much. I think Elvis was gorgeous at every weight. Besides, he had that magnetic personality no one else ecmver had. His girlfriend Mindi Miller said he looked so handsome when she viewed him.Ginger Alden was overwhelmed with his gorgeousness. He was in poor health. The worst thing is I believe he suffered many days due to ill health. I wish I could undohis illnesses but I cannot

@@margarettaylor8107 That's right, I think a lot of the judgments that can be made about Elvis were made in the first place by those who were close to Elvis. Although many of they lived with him each of them has different views on similar issues! While some talk about the existence of several different diseases that Elvis had, others deny that he's any disease at all. Some emphasize the need for Elvis to take certain medications for survival and treatment, while others see him as dependent only on those medications. Some even consider him handsome inside the coffin and some consider him a caricature of what he was before and many other dichotomies in different cases .... Really even today you do not know what to believe, I look at Elvis I know he had stress and physical problems, but I'm not sure the exact cause of those problems is what others have said over the years. There are a lot of contradictory words and lies about Elvis out there. For me Elvis is not like any of those imaginations he is a sensitive intelligent thoughtful man beautiful and completely natural.

Elvis barely could contain himself when Marilyn was in the front row at his Vegas concert in 56. This is before Joe..Elvis said he did not remember the finish of his own show after seeing Marilyn but the one that got him worked up and he watched several times was Sophia Loren in that wet top in the movie Boy on a Dolphin. He actually met Sophis..Imagine young Elvis with those overloaded hormones in the room with these women. He probably had a difficult time remaining calm and cool and not showing his attraction for them.

I don't believe everything Joe said, because he did exaggerate some things. He also worked hand in glove with Parker and I feel he's the one that tipped Parker off about people trying to get new songs to Elvis or new projects. Elvis never knew anything about it, because of Parker shutting the door on them behind the scenes!
