Thanks Tish all I hear Elvis was a very kind person and helped a lot of people I heard he liked a good laugh and wasn't big headed or had an ego I think Elvis cared about his fans and didn't want to let them down giving concerts when he was unwell the man is a class act plus Elvis never forgot his roots when his family were poor

I read her book. Parts of it wa very interesting & other parts she seemed to be very careful what she wrote. They had a wonderful relationship. My favorite part was when she got him a pocketed scrapbook & they put his police patches ( one in each pocket) & they talked and he loved it. It was an evening he was down & lonely & she was very kind to him. My only problem as myself being a nurse, they put her in a terrible position allowing the drugs on the property under her care, so in essence it was like he had his own pharmacy. Elvis being famous, rich and charismatic, I’m sure at times he was hard to resist. I miss him still.

I think she’s being careful about the things she says out of respect and love for him as her patient and her friend. She doesn’t want her book to be misunderstood. She said it about a ghost writer of her book. See that’s what happened to Sonny , Red and Dave. They told the guy stories but where they made the mistake was not reading it before it was published.

@@gracieg7601 Sorry, but I think Sonny, Red and Dave are making a lame excuse because there are contracts involved with publishing books and they could have sued if they were misquoted.
Sonny, Red and Dave wrote that book in anger and as revenge for being fired, plain and simple.

That is no excuse for publicly humiliating the man who bought them houses, cars and paid them for doing nothing but lay about 90% of the time.
Elvis did not trust them to keep the secret of his ill health which is why it was never shared with them.
Elvis was frustrated with their lack of respect and their meddling in his life, as any employer would be; they crossed boundaries no employee should cross.
Their biggest problem was the fact that they were too familiar with their employer, they forgot their place as employees.
Their lies were inappropriate, uncalled for and totally self serving.
If you condone what they did I seriously question the moral code you live by.

Oh WOW, that was an amazing interview. Tish knew Elvis and Vernon up close and personal. I just listened to this interview where she spoke about Elvis and Lisa's medical problems with the colon. And for me, she just verified the reason for Lisa's recent death. It was a medical condition that ran in the family, as I understand it. She mentioned that Vernon had a heart attack in 1975 which I didn't know about. Thank you Steve for this inciteful interview!

You know maybe if Elvis knew then just how loved he was and how much he’d be loved 44 years after his death, maybe, just maybe it would have saved him. I know it wasn’t possible, but man, how I wish it was, how I wish he was still here. He was an angel and 42 was just too young to lose him. 💔

I was born in October of ‘75 and often tell my mom I was born in the wrong era. I’m a fan of all things Elvis and can’t wait to get back to Graceland to see all of the new additions. The worst act was Parker pushing Vernon to sign the contract to manage Elvis's memorabilia n all on Elvis's funeral.day !!!!!! What the hell was Vernon thinking ???!!! Any decent Father would have told him to leave it for now on such a painful day !!!! I was so shocked as how dumb he was that he couldn't see Parker's greed.
The only reason Vernon got that job was because Elvis was his son, before Elvis was famous, Vernon was a drunk daily always fighting with his wife who got arrested every week, he's lucky his kind hearted son saved him !!

My parents died at 33 and 45 respectively. Mother at 33 and father at 45. I was 3 and 10 yrs old. My brother was Steve and I’m Sandra. My father remarried to an awful woman and when he died 6 yes later I became the real Cinderella. Anyway. My brother and I became extremely CLOSE. My brother Steve became a Franciscan Priest and died when he was 36. Needless to say I miss the 3 of them so much. So the coincidence of his name being STEVE and yours being Steve and his love for St Francis and becoming a Franciscan and your last name being Francis. I am sure I found this on U-Tube for a reason. I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe everything is meant to be for a reason. Anyway THANK YOU STEVE for this U/Tube channel and God Bless You. PS. @@zucan100 What medical report did that come from? There is none.Just speculation.Which organs? Which medications caused the damage.Which particular one?? No med could have damaged his colon and made it grow 4 x larger. What med destroyed his colon's nerves ? None.Caused by a virus said his hospital..His HBP...I take no narcotics yet my heart rate and HPB require meds.Elvis' soared after each show.and he lost at least 8 lbs each show
Do you realize what that means for that amount of electrolyte loss? What is the danger in this loss,?...fatal heart attack. He had idiopathic heart disease
look that up So do I. Unless you were his doctor, nurse, did the autopsy, etc you cannot say conclusively he did from med use.But he had so many medical conditions he needed meds to control them and the pain with it.Here's what doctors know..The patient cannot have quality of life if his pain is not controlled
But by controlling the pain the patient risks additiction .Which would you as patient choose? Millions of Americans suffer from excruciating pain and take necessary opiates.Millions have severe somnolence and take sleep meds. What happens if you do not sleep,?..you die.Have a little empathy and understanding for those who suffer.I remind you of the adage, There but for the grace of God go I. I think we're at cross purposes here, I agree with you with regard the autopsy. I am empathetic to his ailments but Elvis was told many times what those drugs were doing to him. Dr Nick bought specialists into Baptist to tell him directly. Those DEA folks he was friendly with at one time tried to talk to him about it. He was hardly misinformed. How often do you read anecdotal evidence of Elvis in terrific pain that he would require the same medication provided terminal cancer patients. I cannot deny because I don't know what role genetics had in his passing. I know we saw a guy in peak condition only a few years earlier. I know we have eye-witness accounts by people there of what went on at different times. I'm also aware of the report by Dr Forest Tennant and the autoimmune theory based on Elvis' hitting his head in '67. As for high blood pressure and losing 8lbs from a show well.. he put on an energetic performance right, dressed in a reportedly very heavy suit, hot lights shining on him. I would think the dehydration is quite normal. I recall him drinking Gatorade on stage, probably for that reason. Your blood pressure rises when you are out of breath right, putting everything into something. He was puffed, he'd just been singing for an hour or more.

Dr.Nick said in a video interview that he did not realize the excruciating amount of pain Elvis had been in until after the autopsy.I know about all kinds of drug classes because doctors relied on me for my drug knowledge. Then they treated and administered meds according to what I told them. There were only trace elements of any opiate found in Elvis according to the toxicoligy report which means drugs did not kill him.Do you really think cancer is the only disease which causes excruciating pain.Try having natural childbirth sometime.Back issues do too and Elvis had those among many others. Tish summed Vernon up perfectly Elvis was his free ride for sure and I've heard and read he was selfish and always on Elvis's back about his spending habits, Vernon was the reason he sold the G ranch and the Fans forever blame so many around Elvis on how they did nothing to help Elvis yet no one ever looked at Vernon his own father , who seemed did nothing to help his own son ? I have often thought if Elvis didn't become the super star what would have become of the Presley's as Vernon wasn't an academic and not much of a provider, he knew how blessed he was financially with Elvis never again would Vernon work.

Another nice and interesting interview Steve. Tish sounds like a very caring individual who cared deeply about Elvis. Obviously, I wasn't there with Elvis; however, I disagree with her that Dr Nick never overprescribed drugs to Elvis. I have read enough books, seen copies of the scripts he had written, as well as the autopsy results, that to me disproves what she said. I believe her loyalty to Dr Nick is obvious.
