- Ginger Alden was Elvis Presley's Fiancée at the time of his death.
She was the last person to speak to him before he passed away in his bathroom at his Graceland home.
Many stories about their relationship have appeared during the years following Elvis' untimely death.
In this interview Ginger talks to me about her time with Elvis and addresses some of those rumors and stories.

Hello ,I believe Ginger was so blessed to have Elvis in her life, and I can see she truly Loved him and he loved her .....I've been an Elvis fan for many years ,he was incredible ,he gave everything to his fans ,yes Ginger ,he was kind and generous and a wonderful human being......After all these years we still love him and it proves that his life his voice is a true gift to us all , never to go away ❤.......
It’s great Ginger has finally told her story and the love she shared with Elvis. Respect her silence for Elvis for all 30yrs.
Beautiful woman
I just bought Ginger's book because of this interview. I was only 6 when Elvis died and it was 16 months after my Father had died, which is probably why I was so incredibly upset when I heard Elvis had died (even though I barely knew anything about him). Thank you Steve, for sharing such a wonderful interview with us all.
You are very welcome
Thank you Steve for this interview. Ginger was so young at the time of Elvis death. I believe Elvis really loved this woman. I'm going to get her book. Thank you Ginger !!!
My Opinion Ginger was too young for Elvis she was a nice girl and now a famous woman but Elvis did never married his only Love were Priscilla and his daughter LisaMarie❤️🙏Elvis forever
Beautiful Ginger Elvis love to you could see why
So, is it safe to conclude that Elvis' excitement for his new relationship with Ginger is why those concerts in the last week of December '76 were so outstanding?
So glad this beautiful lady of grace was able to tell her story. I bet from the second Elvis was cold, the vultures were taking control, pushing this girl out. Sadly since they weren't married, she had no legal rights. I hope she was able to at least take the gifts and memories she shared with him.
Priscilla was the one able to capitalize on the Presley name because she had his only living heir. Am very surprised as much as this man “shared the love” that there hasn't been more kids come out of the woodwork.
Elvis was smart enough to take "precautious." Because I am sure there are plenty of women out there who be willing to have his child.
I became a fan of Elvis through my dad, we would watch his movies and his music, my dad loved Elvis music. Now that I'm older and my dad has passed away quite a while now, I still remember those younger days hanging out with my dad in the living room watching Elvis Presley movies. My dad favorite Elvis movie was Blue Hawaii.
Ginger never bad mouthed Elvis and I have a lot of respect for her. People rag on her all the time, but she is a lady through and through, always have been and will be. I am looking forward to her starting a You Tube channel, I love hearing her talk and I'd love for her to put some of theses rumors to rest once and for all. Wonderful interview Steve, enjoyed it a lot. Wish I could go to Memphis in August to see her. What an amazing nine months she had with Elvis, very lucky lady indeed! I think it was destine since he met her dad and then her when she was a little girl, then lady when she went with her sisters to Graceland. So cool!
she told lies about him there was no wedding elvis called it off
Hello Pretty 💖
hi
all this is very easy, as i wrote another place in order to blame or judge elvis for anything we have to know him, his life, people around him then maybe we can begin to decide what we think and the same with ginger us who not know her can't say anything about her.
Stay safe out there
Her and her mother sued the estate after he died saying he owed thrm money.
None of his girlfriends talked bad about him!! She says he was gotta marry her, but he wasn't he even planned on taking another girl on his last tour! He told people he was no way gotta marry Ginger,
Thanks to ginger i believe what she says about Elvis so happy a lot off the truth as come out .Elvis was a humble man with a heart of gold, God bless our beautiful Elvis 👑👑
and lies too don't forget , she lied about setting the date for the wedding the night elvis died, when truth is elvis had called the wedding off months before he died so why would he be setting a date for a wedding that wasn't going to happen !!?
@@gassbaggerwoods5955 you told the truth here he had no intention of marry ing her in the end Elvis could not stand her !
@@susiemitchell8555 well he didn't, he called it off months before he died , so ginger saying they set the date the night he died was lies , he would not be setting a date for a wedding that was not taking place. he had major concerns about marrying ginger led him to tell larry and charlie that if he married her he would have to marry the family , he was unhappy that he was not getting wat he needed from her !!!
woods you know more about elvis and ginger than ginger does saying shes lieing, you don't know what they talked about for hours I hate people like you that try rewrite history and call people liers ,stop with the bs you don't know what ur talking about.
@@williedesmond8201 myself and millions of other do .when you do your research it not surprising how much we can learn that is not true and ginger saying the night he died they were setting the date is NOT true , fact is that elvis had called the wedding off months before he died. so why would he be setting any date. he spoke to larry and charlie two of his closest friends said he was not getting wat he needed from ginger we don't need to know wat they talked about that night and it wouldn't have been much no doubt , elvis died that night he was positive and upbeat about his forthcoming tour but his body was wrecked. I do not need to "re-write" history its already out there from whence it happened and its well documented !! ginger has shot herself in both feet when she tries to say things happened that obviously didn't happen. We have two of his closest friends who have both said in interview elvis had second thoughts he did not want to marry ginger if he did he will have had to marry her family and he did not want to do that .No one is saying elvis didn't propose , he proposed to many girls and as we know he did to one and she became his wife !! Ginger insists that they spoke of their wedding plans on the night he died but even Vernon said that he thought his son had started to get cold feet. he said whenever he tried to talk to elvis about ginger he'd seemed upset. wonder why that was Mr Desmond !! ? Vernon told him him " I keep hearing and reading that your going to announce your engagement. is that right ? when are you going to get married ?"!! Elvis's reply was not promising " only god knows" he said !! does that sound like someone who was planning a wedding the night he died?!! , elvis couldn't even make plans go ahead with wat he proposed you see he had second thoughts as we were told by those closest to him , and that is history nothing to do with me !!!
Thank yuo Steve for this great interview Ginger Is a wonderful Lady.Elvis Is Forever the greatest.
Thank you Ginger, Thank you for all these special memories and time you shared with us. 😊👍❤️
How great to hear this recent interview you have made with Ginger. It was a very, very long time ago that I listened to an interview with her. Her voice has changed and darkened a lot...lol, the last time I heard her talking in a video it was shortly after Elvis death and she was then so very, very young, shy and of course also a bit insecure of herself. But you really made her speak up here...well done, which also gave me a lot of new stuff I didn't know of...or have forgotten...lol. Yes, we die-hard Elvis-fans are also old now....lol.
But I didn't know of her husband's passing though...how very sad.
Some 4 or 5 years ago I also bought her book, which I really enjoyed, so now I keep altogether 35 great books in my special Elvis-library.
But I didn't know Elvis was suffering from toncillities when he was young and down in Germany, that was new to me....lol.
Looking forward to your next video or your special choices of Elvis' best songs. Hugs from Maggie from Sweden
He was hospitalized twice in Germany and had tonsillitis several times his whole career.
I think the tragic thing about Ginger Alden is that the two men she truly
loved died young and the same day.
It's great that she remembers the good times.
Thank you very much Steve and Ginger. I really enjoyed this chat. I have Ginger's book and if anyone hasn't read it, please do. I look forward to watching Ginger's upcoming CZcams channel. 💖 🇬🇧
Steve I love your interviews. I am sure I read recently that the family didn't acknowledge Ginger and Elvis's relationship. Was she allowed to attend his funeral?x
Yes, Ginger attended the funeral service of Elvis. Her two sisters and her mother were also there. At the service inside the house Lisa Marie went to sit on Ginger's lap.
Thank you, Ginger and Steve!
You're welcome
That was enjoyable, she comes across as sincere. I think what everyone needs to remember is she was a kid when she dated Elvis, we all think we know the world at that age. She tried to navigate a totally alien lifestyle that even a mature woman would have difficulty with. She's got a lot of undeserved harsh criticism for 40 odd years, especially the whole she should have prevented Elvis dying, there was only one person that could do that and he didn't save himself.
Steve, I love how you are empathatic during this once in a lifetime interview. Because of your technique there is no way we would have been privileged to hear the actual happenings of Elvis last year. Truth will always out. Thank you Steve
Very kind Colin.Glad you enjoyed it
I don't think we really did hear actual happenings did we?
How crappy for Ginger, losing Elvis and her husband Ron ON THE SAME DAY!! That for surely is a heartbreaking day for her year after year...sad
Agree.
No way I was going to ask her to recount the events again
Thank you for sharing this, Enjoyed hearing Ginger speak about her time with Elvis,, I have read her book, but to hear her speak in person brings her story more to life, hearing her voice,, brings a new depth , and makes it more real. Appreciate your sharing,👍😁Bonnie
Glad you enjoyed it Bonnie
He had very good taste in women!!! Just have so much respect for her, it must have been incredibly hard to go on with her life after he passed...many blessings to her and her family!!!🙆♀️🙅♀️🖖
She looked like Priscilla Before the horrible plastic surgery
Steve, you always and only highlight the beauty and goodness of Elvis in all you do, this beautiful interview with the kind Ginger being no exception. Thanks ever so much for your positive application.

Thank you Ginger you're a lovely person. I haven't heard anything negative from you about Elvis. Stay safe.
no not negative my eye jst lies ! saying she and elvis dicussed wedding plans the night he died , thats lies elvis called it off he changed his mind months before he died so why would he be planning a wedding ? there was no wedding !
@@gassbaggerwoods5955 - get over it, they were to wed, it was the real deal. Calling her a liar, based on what you just made up that he called off the wedding is in fact what is the lie. There is no such reference anywhere that he called of the wedding.
@@tdiio7998 up until elvis changed his mind which was months before he died , i have not made anything up both larry & charlie said elvis changed his mind , i never knew about that til i watched that video was a surprise to me to hear it so if the wedding was off then she did lie saying they set the date elvis called it off !! there is a reference its a video on here and if i find it i will post the link to you , and anyway there were many including his cousin billy smith that said he would never marry again he told billy he wouldn't
@Koletti Pireaus yes many have said he was never going to marry ginger , and when many say the same thing its generally the truth , his own cousin said he told him he would never marry again no i don't know better or claim to i jst do my research weigh up the facts and go with that
@Koletti Pireaus The Family ( Billy Smith ) is your source ??? __Here is what I do no for sure and what everyone that loves Elvis knows. And this is fact. Elvis Presley's Dad, riddance Billy Smith, along with his wife and children off the grounds of Graceland soon after Elvis passed. Your source for what you do know in regards to Ginger, comes from cousin "Billy Smith" the family as you state. Now I don't about your definition of Family, but for me, Vernon sure had to know something bad, about Billy his son's cousin, the family to riddance him off the grounds of Graceland. And Vernon also wanted the Furniture. For me this so telling of the value of what Billy Smith speaks negative in regards to Ginger, which equates to a man that lost his place in the hierarchy and and entitlement status to Ginger. This is a man, Elvis Presley first cousin, Billy who drew up a testament of trust with Elvis, where they would never hurt each other, and what did Billy do after Elvis passes he humiliates Elvis with his personal and opinionated base recollect of how bad Ginger was for Elvis. This is woman who Elvis dearly loved enough to want to marry. He also speaks tales of personal habits of Elvis, that really was not necessary other than ridicule Elvis his cousin the Family. Vernon was no fool, he knew, who was Genuine with his Son. And that goes for Charlie Hodge as well, riddance of he grounds of Graceland. Let's erase the bullshats of the pass in regards to Elvis and to the Woman "Ginger" who he loved dearly to marry.
Really enjoyed this interview. Iv read gingers book a few times now. It’s such a positive force for those last months of Elvis’ life. X
How positive ?!! elvis was tiring of ginger he was not getting wat he needed from her she had not a clue how to deal with him , the arguments they were having on a regular basis was wearing him out the last thing he needed when he felt dreadfully ill was to be arguing with ginger !!!
@Gass...how do you know? You are too hung up on the fantasy love story of Elvis and Priscilla. Do some research.
@@gassbaggerwoods5955 are you being serious here how the hell would you no if they were arguing all the tine your speaking utter rubbish don't believe everything you hear god nose were you heard that from
@@maxbluenose25 Of cource i am , how does anyone know anything about anyone or anything do you think?!! let me enlighten you , there were people around that witnessed their arguments they could be heard all over the house !! . Elvis was a very sick man that last few wks of his life he was desperate to not be alone he hated being alone is why he had such a large entourage he wanted many around him he wanted his family and friends around him. he found a girl who'd looks reminded him of priscilla , many have commented as so , you cannot mistake how much she looked like priscilla being with ginger must have reminded him of priscilla. but ginger gave him more irritant frustrations . elvis himself voiced his concerns to his MM and family how ginger was not giving him wat he needed, he was having serious doubts about marrying her , he told his father when asked by Vernon when was he going to announce the engagement and he said "Heaven knows daddy "! and elvis himself said that not me!! sure signs that elvis was looking forward to marrying her more like the opposite !! she was there the night he died because she stayed over that night , elvis wasn't supposed to die he was making very big plans for change to better himself to change his manager that was sucking him dry financially but his ill health had other ideas , and those closest to him I.E. Larry and Charlie have both said he called the wedding off months before he died . even billy smith his cousin has said so too, i NEVER said that , many have got information like that from those closest to elvis . so if you want to know where i got my info thats where !!
Lovely conversation, Steve! Ginger sounds like a woman who deserves respect.

I really loved your interview with Ginger. It was really touching how you mentioned the poem in the end. You could tell in her voice, that she really loved Elvis and still does.
Thanks Elena
Sorry, the interview was not good..Ginger is not honest and left Elvis in the bathroom until she put on her makeup to call someone, after 6 hours..
Untrue
she loved the life style and the money !
@Gass....And Linda and Priscilla didn't? You'll have to come up with something better than that.
Such an interesting interview, never really knew much about Ginger Alden, but ive just seen the Elvis movie and my interest in everything Elvis so to speak has been sparked. Would love to get this book as I bought Pricilla's book many years ago, it would be nice to get another perspective of a man whom I have the utmost admiration for. Thank you Ginger, you come across as someone who tells the truth and wants the truth to be known.
Great interview Steve. You asked all the right questions, whilst being respectful at the same time, which isn't always easy. Well done. 👏 👏👏
Just finished listening. Great interview. Steve, it was very classy of you to avoid the 'event' out of respect for this singular lady. I had no idea her husband passed on 8/16, too. Insightful interview. Thank you and thanks to Ginger.
How sad for her that she lost her husband on August 16. Also! Probably the two great loves of her life both on that date! If she should ever marry again I would bet she would be very concerned on that date every year!

Always thought an ex wife ( pricilla) has used his death as a gravy train. She was a bloody ex wife. So ridiculous that she acts as if she still had significance to him when he died.
This is a very eye opening interview w Ginger. Just goes to show that there are ALWAYS more than 1 side to stories, and there were so many conflicting stories where Elvis and Ginger were concerned. I'm reading Ginger's book now and I have altered my opinion about Ginger [for the better] after this interview and her book. A big "Thank You" to Ginger and this interview!! Great job! (btw, I am a lifelong Elvis fan/fanatic and to STILL learn more from those that knew him intimately is always fantastic!)
Ginger and Steve, many thanks for the great Interview ❣

funny she never mentioned that elvis changed his mind months before he died and they never set the date for the wedding as she claims , guess that the beauty of being the only one when he died she can say wat she likes and no one is going to say different , tho good job elvis told charlie and larry he changed his mind !!!

Steve, another great interview, ,insightful, informative, none intrusive and at all times courteous.
GInger speaks both eloquently and respectfully about her time with Elvis, a refreshing change from interviews where personal and intimate private matters are discussed unnecessarily. Elvis was an extremely private man and both his integrity and dignity should be always be afforded to him, more so as he can now no longer defend himself.
Yet another Lady from Elvis,s life who States he was nothing other than a perfect gent, despite some of the gutter trash that has been said and writren about him since he passed. We have to remember that Ginger was only a young girl , 19/20 yrs of age when she was part of Elvis,s life. There's no denying those 9 months were difficult both physically and emotionally for Elvis but he would never have let her take the burden, im certain he felt she was a tonic for him and something to focus on and see a brighter tomorrow. Maybe because of her age she didn't see or realise the seriousness of the situation concerning Elvis or maybe Elvis made sure she didn't, who knows for certain.
GInger has her own memories of the time she spent with Elvis, I dont think anyone has the right to deny her that, regardless of what people's own perceptions may be.
Wow!! This is terrific xxx
You are such a kind. Sweet man love your interviews

I too found Ginger to be a lovely person
I met Ginger tonight in Middlesbrough, UK. A genuine lovely lady.
I respect the fact that. Ginger didn't run and write a book that she waited 38 years to do so. So many people he loved wasted no time in writing one or even putting things ln documentories or interviews that didn't need to be put out especially by those he loved an d trusted. During the time right after his death there were those in his inner circle that were so angry with him for dying that they told things they wish they could take back. I am glad to hear. Ginger say that he had happy days in his last months.. The health problems alone the insomnia the book wold put anybody ln bad place. I am so glad that he had good days at the end. Elvis lived an exceptional life but pald a high price to have lived it. And boy did he.live it. I enjoy your interviews and your podcasts . thanks for keeping the greatest entertainer of all time in the spotlight.
Steve you were a pro! What a great interview!
Thanks for your support

Good to hear from you Ginger! you are a true respectful young lady not moving in to his home right away like all the others, unlike Percilla whos Dad sold her out (just saying). Please keep speaking Miss Ginger and thank you.
Elvis told his dad he didn't want to marry her and his friends as well ,funny that the engagement never came out because elvis didn't want to marry her ,this is well known that he said it to his dad and friends joe Esposito and others ,it suits her to say he asked her then he passes away ,he asked other girls to to get engaged lol ah well another book sold
@Willie Desmond
Seems like every woman Elvis slept with was "the one", yet he wasn't faithful to any of them, he especially wasn't true to himself.
Priscilla, whom he supposedly "dearly loved", to keep her, he married her, presented her with a dream life / lifestyle, she had his child, yet he'd board a plane, go on tour and sleep with anyone he chose. Then return home to an eventually suspicious wife.
I still feel for all the woman Elvis hooked up with, all young, innocent, and truly in awe over the king, as though they were someone special to him.
Of course they were, until he set his eyes on someone else.
I had no idea the extent of his womanizing ways.
It's disgusting actually.
Great interview! Thank you so much Steve and Ginger! God Bless You both!

@@gassbaggerwoods5955 You are definitely wrong. I am a friend of one of ELVIS' friends who will remain unnamed, and he said ELVIS definitely DID plan to marry Ginger. Amen!
Great interview thank you for sharing with us. Ginger made him happy. That is all that mattered. A Elvis fan for life.
Beautiful interview 👌
Glad you enjoyed it Lorna
I could’ve listened to that chat for another hour Steve..it was really relaxed & as she felt comfortable with you she spoke very openly. It’s just incredible to imagine that she laid by his side & shared his life..it’s mind blowing! Her honest nature in the interview reflected what she was like in her book. Lovely...Thanks Steve 🤴🏻⚡️🎼
Thanks Paul.
I value your opinion
Thanks for your support

Hi Steve,
What a great interview, you really got a big one there.
I found Ginger very polite and humble and conducted herself really well. Thanks Steve amazing again xxx 💝
Thanks Karen
More people need to listen to what Ginger says about Elvis in his last nine months of his life and stop believing the unfair lies that continue to be said about this lovely man. Thank you Ginger, for loving Elvis, for your decency ,and for doing your best to set the record straight .
We all love Elvis..and what to hear the good about him..but there were the not so good things about him, which I think we she also hear about to see what if that was true or false..and I do wonder with Ginger said Elvis proposed in the January but introduced her as his GF ..and billy Smith said he was taking some other girl on his last tour..what was Gingers answer to that? Sorry I havnt read her book .
@@tinafoley2229 yes, Ginger didn't want to go on the first part of the tour. I wrote previously that Elvis took Alicia instead, but that was not correct. I got it confused because Elvis DID take Alicia to Las Vegas in April 1977, 4 months before he died. Billy and Jo knew Alicia and talk about her in one of their videos. I was curious about her so I just bought the book "Elvis and Alicia," just received it though, haven't had time to read it yet. I feel like she's kind of forgotten and I'm glad she now has a voice, so to speak.
@@katgirlblue Alicia Kerwin never attended an Elvis concert. She never went on tour with him. According to her testimony in the Dr Nick trial, she wasn’t even interested in Elvis.
@@giulia473 Alicia was interested enough in him to accept a new car from him and she could have had the decency to be just a little upset that the man died.
