I listened to it to ring in the 2024 new year, in tribute to my father, who died suddenly at the same time of year 2 years ago. He was in a band and they covered this song. I still remember best him singing this song on stage when I was a very small child. This was my parents wedding song. I lost my father when I was pretty young. He loved this song and sang it all the time in the car. I was so embarrassed as a kid. Many many years later I’m learning to play the guitar and have to learn the song. I may never fall in love again but it would be awesome to play and sing it for my mom before she’s gone too. I got married this year and walked down the aisle to this in the most beautiful church, I made it to the love of my life just when the line ‘take my hand, take my whole life too’ came on and it gives me butterflies every time I listen. I’m only 25 but proud to say this is my favourite song of all time!

It's been proved by scientists that in Alzheimer, the last memories you lose are the auditive ones. My grandma had Alzheimer and she was part of a choir when she was young. She kept humming until the day she passed away.
