Amazing video exactly what I was looking for. I just got the appia compact and I needed to get familiar with all these pieces to troubleshoot. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wonderful video
- That's Really Amazing 😍😍
Wonderful
Good job
So nice
Wow nice
vary nice
Nice....

Great
Amazing detailed video
I have the Nouva Simoneli Appia 2 Group High Cup Commercial, a year ago was the last time I used it in a cafe situation and it was running great.
Last week I plugged it in and tried to run it, it initiated fine by taking water and heating up as usual.
When it reached temperature and pressurized:
• The left group operated perfectly
• The water tap on the left operated perfectly
• Both left and right steam outlets perfectly running
The only thing that did not operate well is the right group which did not have any water coming out.
I checked the solenoid it is working well but no water behind it.
I am not sure what to do next.
Kindly help
If you are sure the solenoid is opening and closing., you may have a clog at the flow meter jet.
Great video!
I have a question regarding the two group version (although I’m sure it’s non-specific), on power on, the water pump wasn’t engaging properly just clicking erratically (it seems trying to engage).
Would this be a capacitor problem? I have ordered another one but it’s going to take some time to arrive. The machine doesn’t heat at all, although it has power and the thermostatic switch is fine (hasn’t overloaded or needed to be reset).
What other tell tale signs should I be looking for? I initially thought it was a relay problem, but after replacing that, there hasn’t been any change.
The machine turns on, (has lighting to the buttons, etc) but won’t begin to heat and there is no rotary pump ‘click’ engagement.
Thanks 🙏
Most likely, you have incorrect power feeding the machine.
Nice mashing
Wow 😧
Im having a problem with pressure buildup (on the bottom manometer it goes over 16bars). When I pull espresso shots it drops to 9bars but then after a while it goes back over the scale. Do you have any solutions?
Great to hear from you. Most likely a check valve has failed.
2:50 the safety pressure release is facing the 240 volt three ways solenoid? why? bad design?
You may want to consult the engineer for a more definitive answer, but based on my understanding, it's likely that they relocated the component away from the boiler to enhance its longevity. The three-way valve is sealed. Moisture exposure is unavoidable regardless of the safety valve's placement. However, if the safety valve is releasing, there are more critical concerns to address, and it's imperative to promptly shut down the machine.
If you follow the boiler draining procedure, does this let all the water from the machine? Shipping it to a new location in winter and afraid of freezing.
You are correct in thinking it does not eliminate all the water. out of the boiler. Water will remain in the heat exchangers, solenoid valves, pump, pressure gauges. etc. Espresso machines must always remain in an above freezing environment.
Hello. Would you know the dip switch setting at the back of the button panel on group head no. 2. Mine has been behaving strangely since someone cleaned the contacts on the ribbon cable connecting to it & I think they may have moved one of the dip switches to the wrong position by accident. Thank you
Hello! I do not know from memory but you can call Simonelli directly and they will help you out. Just a thought here. If someone was cleaning your contacts, it may mean you need a new ribbon cable. it just depends on what is not working right. Simonelli contact info espressoservicedirectory.com/directory/nuova-simonelli--ferndale-wa/
Good luck!
@@EspressoServiceNetwork hello. Thank you very much for the advice. Much appreciated. Your channel is very helpful. Alan
@@alanbeanbrownie1524I am happy we could help. Much thanks for the encouragement.
When I go to pull a shot using the p3 button. No water comes out of the group head. Then the stop button starts to blink. Pressure meter looks fine.
There is no water flow so you have a clog somewhere.
Ok good
Hallo, do you know how to setting boiler water level? Cause mine only filling about 1/4 of the tank, im seeing from the tube glass in front.
Which machine do you have? Appia or Appia II ? The viewing window does not tell you the actual level of your boiler. Typically, if you see water in the tube, your boiler level should be fine.
how to solve group button not flashing error? and please explain how to handle it 🙏
I am not certain what you are asking. If your group button is flashing it may mean it is sensing no water flow through the group, the machine is in a clean cycle or it is a boiler fill time out. For the boiler fill time out, try turning your machine off for 5 seconds and back on to reset. If you have water at the group check the flow meter. If it is a boiler fill error it could be a lot of things. Let me know what you discover.
Hello. after the flowmeter, is the tube going straight to HX boiler? is it normal for the tube & flowmeter to be hot as it connected together?
NS Appia Compact 1gp - i had my flowmeter jet clogged, after cleaning it only realise the whole line is too hot. not sure if i miss anything.
Yes and yes, it can be. It is difficult to say if there is a problem without being in front of the machine. Does your machine brew fine?
Espresso shot I get from my appia life 2 is not hot enough. Can I adjust the heating degree of espresso. TIA
If your groups were hot but are no longer, this can be a sign of mineral buildup. You can adjust your steam pressure up to make your brewing water hotter but do no raise higher than 1.3 bar. You can also increase the water level in your steam tank. Doing these things is best done by a professional tech.
I have this machine and just installed it in a coffee serving trailer. It seems to be wired correctly and have the correct power, but when we turn the power button on at the bottom NOTHING AT ALL HAPPENS. we have power and we have water. I know this machine operated fine before it was unplugged and put in my trailer.
is the front power light flashing?
Hey, I have a problem with my machine. its Wega three group but whenever im trying ro make a shot water won't come out of the group heads. the steam works perfectly and also the hot water tap is working the only problem is in the groupheads. it makes a weird sounds when you turn on a group head but it doesn't let any water out from all three heads. I am not sure what Is wrong.I am just a struggling student at university with a small coffee shop and its not that busy I dont get how the machine overheated if its overheating. I am too broke to be consulting technicians, I have already used 22k on the machine
There could be many reasons water is not coming out of your groups. 1. Your water is off. This would cause it to over heat too. Another thought is you could have cleaner stuck up in the groups. You can clear it by operating the group on and off to try and break it loose. I'm thinking your water is off though. Let me know what you discover.
@@EspressoServiceNetwork The problem is that water does come out if the machine is off which means there is no block I think. the problems starts when the machine is on, water do not come out at all.
Hello there. Why I can't access the program with appia nuova simonelli 2g machine?
Do you need an operating manual? Which Appia model do you have? Appia, Appia II or Appia Life?
I have this machine and I'm having an issue with low pressure. It's sitting at 2 and maybe gets to 3 when pulling shots. I've replaced the pump, water filter, confirmed the fuse is good, and checked for blocked valve meters. What's left??
Check voltage going to the motor. If no voltage is present then most likely it is a bad relay on the board. If voltage is present check capacitor on the motor. Lastly, you may have a bad motor. Let us know what you discover.
@EspressoServiceNetwork
I got it working again by switching the filter with a filter from another machine. Both machines ran fine with pressure above 12!
Now, I have a steady stream of water going into the reservoir. The machine is usable, but my water bill will go through the roof, lol. I'm guessing it must be something like a solenoid. I've searched all over and found no one having this issue. Any ideas?
Reduce your pressure to 9-10. 12 is generally to high. If your filter is clogged, it will cause your pump to cavitate and not have proper pressure what do you mean water is pouring into the reservoir? Reduce your pressure and that might help the issue. If you’re running at
12 bar or above, the expansion valve may be opening and dumping down the drain.
@EspressoServiceNetwork
Sorry I should say that at rest it sits at 6 and when in use it is 12 to 15. No matter when, there is a steady stream of of the right pipe of the reservoir. Not the 3 from the heads or the drain plug. It's like something is telling it to not stop or to dump water. I've reduced pressure and still seeing the same results
If you’re brewing at nine bar and the expansion valve is still dumping water.,you need to replace the expansion valve. if you’re brewing at 12 bar and your expansion valve is dumping water, it’s doing its job.
Today my Appia 2 Compact after used for 45 minutes behave unusual.... when I Extract, it stop half way. After that when I flushed the water sound like boiled. Tried to flushed a few times until the sound goes away... But after a few minutes it started again... Indicator on the Gauge looked Normal... What happened to my Appia? Please help. Thank you
Is it brand new? It is normal for it to come to a boil if you flush with nothing in it. As far as it brewing short, there could be a problem with the brew valve. Start there. Let me know what you discover. Also, check your steam pressure and make sure it is not above 1.1 bar.
@@EspressoServiceNetwork its 3 years old. Turned on every 2 day for 1 hour. Steam pressure is 1.1 Bar. Yesterdau after turned off for 1 hour, I turned on again and after around 10 minutes its already sound boiling again. Today simonelli tech will come
@@EspressoServiceNetwork the tech said the problem was the check valve (one way valve) They cleaned it and now fixed.
My frother and hot water works but I am not getting anything to pull from my coffee heads
It could be a host of things but check first that you have water going to the machine. Let us know what you discovered.
I have a screw that mixes hot and cold water, which way do I turn the screw to adjust out the roaring I get when I push the hot water button? Thanks
What do you mean by roaring? Turning the screw counter clockwise will give you a cooler output.
Gushing rather than a steady flow, it's only just started doing it.
@@nicksalt4011 How old is your Appia?
1990s
@@nicksalt4011 Most likely your cold mix valve needs to be replaced. A common issue is the plunger seal becomes swollen and restricts the cold water flow, which results in spitting and spattering of hot water coming out of your faucet.
Wow 😲😲
