    I have the Nouva Simoneli Appia 2 Group High Cup Commercial, a year ago was the last time I used it in a cafe situation and it was running great.
    Last week I plugged it in and tried to run it, it initiated fine by taking water and heating up as usual.
    When it reached temperature and pressurized:
    • The left group operated perfectly
    • The water tap on the left operated perfectly
    • Both left and right steam outlets perfectly running
    The only thing that did not operate well is the right group which did not have any water coming out.
    I checked the solenoid it is working well but no water behind it.
    I am not sure what to do next.
    Kindly help

      If you are sure the solenoid is opening and closing., you may have a clog at the flow meter jet.

    Great video!
    I have a question regarding the two group version (although I’m sure it’s non-specific), on power on, the water pump wasn’t engaging properly just clicking erratically (it seems trying to engage).
    Would this be a capacitor problem? I have ordered another one but it’s going to take some time to arrive. The machine doesn’t heat at all, although it has power and the thermostatic switch is fine (hasn’t overloaded or needed to be reset).
    What other tell tale signs should I be looking for? I initially thought it was a relay problem, but after replacing that, there hasn’t been any change.
    The machine turns on, (has lighting to the buttons, etc) but won’t begin to heat and there is no rotary pump ‘click’ engagement.
    Thanks 🙏

    2:50 the safety pressure release is facing the 240 volt three ways solenoid? why? bad design?

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před 11 měsíci

      You may want to consult the engineer for a more definitive answer, but based on my understanding, it's likely that they relocated the component away from the boiler to enhance its longevity. The three-way valve is sealed. Moisture exposure is unavoidable regardless of the safety valve's placement. However, if the safety valve is releasing, there are more critical concerns to address, and it's imperative to promptly shut down the machine.

    If you follow the boiler draining procedure, does this let all the water from the machine? Shipping it to a new location in winter and afraid of freezing.

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před rokem

      You are correct in thinking it does not eliminate all the water. out of the boiler. Water will remain in the heat exchangers, solenoid valves, pump, pressure gauges. etc. Espresso machines must always remain in an above freezing environment.

      Which machine do you have? Appia or Appia II ? The viewing window does not tell you the actual level of your boiler. Typically, if you see water in the tube, your boiler level should be fine.

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před 2 lety

      I am not certain what you are asking. If your group button is flashing it may mean it is sensing no water flow through the group, the machine is in a clean cycle or it is a boiler fill time out. For the boiler fill time out, try turning your machine off for 5 seconds and back on to reset. If you have water at the group check the flow meter. If it is a boiler fill error it could be a lot of things. Let me know what you discover.

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před rokem +1

      If your groups were hot but are no longer, this can be a sign of mineral buildup. You can adjust your steam pressure up to make your brewing water hotter but do no raise higher than 1.3 bar. You can also increase the water level in your steam tank. Doing these things is best done by a professional tech.

    Hey, I have a problem with my machine. its Wega three group but whenever im trying ro make a shot water won't come out of the group heads. the steam works perfectly and also the hot water tap is working the only problem is in the groupheads. it makes a weird sounds when you turn on a group head but it doesn't let any water out from all three heads. I am not sure what Is wrong.I am just a struggling student at university with a small coffee shop and its not that busy I dont get how the machine overheated if its overheating. • @EspressoServiceNetwork

      There could be many reasons water is not coming out of your groups. 1. Your water is off. This would cause it to over heat too. Another thought is you could have cleaner stuck up in the groups. You can clear it by operating the group on and off to try and break it loose. I'm thinking your water is off though. Let me know what you discover.

    I have this machine and I'm having an issue with low pressure. It's sitting at 2 and maybe gets to 3 when pulling shots. I've replaced the pump, water filter, confirmed the fuse is good, and checked for blocked valve meters. What's left??

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před 9 měsíci

      Check voltage going to the motor. If no voltage is present then most likely it is a bad relay on the board. If voltage is present check capacitor on the motor. Lastly, you may have a bad motor. Let us know what you discover.

      I got it working again by switching the filter with a filter from another machine. Both machines ran fine with pressure above 12!
      Now, I have a steady stream of water going into the reservoir. The machine is usable, but my water bill will go through the roof, lol. I'm guessing it must be something like a solenoid. I've searched all over and found no one having this issue. Any ideas?

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před 9 měsíci

      Reduce your pressure to 9-10. 12 is generally to high. If your filter is clogged, it will cause your pump to cavitate and not have proper pressure what do you mean water is pouring into the reservoir? Reduce your pressure and that might help the issue. If you’re running at
      12 bar or above, the expansion valve may be opening and dumping down the drain.

      Sorry I should say that at rest it sits at 6 and when in use it is 12 to 15. No matter when, there is a steady stream of of the right pipe of the reservoir. Not the 3 from the heads or the drain plug. It's like something is telling it to not stop or to dump water. I've reduced pressure and still seeing the same results

    • @EspressoServiceNetwork
      @EspressoServiceNetwork  Před 9 měsíci

      If you’re brewing at nine bar and the expansion valve is still dumping water.,you need to replace the expansion valve. if you’re brewing at 12 bar and your expansion valve is dumping water, it’s doing its job.

      Is it brand new? It is normal for it to come to a boil if you flush with nothing in it. As far as it brewing short, there could be a problem with the brew valve. Start there. Let me know what you discover. Also, check your steam pressure and make sure it is not above 1.1 bar.
