The Two Faced Better than Sex mascara reminded me --I went to CVS to pick up another Essence Lash Princess mascara (the pink one). A clerk asked if I ever tried the Essence Extreme mascara--which she recommended. So I bought both. Little did I know that the Extreme mascara comes with a wand that was made for a GIANT. The spoolie part is so huge that it is impossible to involve only eyelashes in the application--it ends up on the eyelid, the undereye, the nose, etc. And now I'm wondering, what I did to offend that clerk for her to recommend a giants-only mascara.
That’s my favorite mascara of all time 😅 to be fair I have long lashes.

Tip for breaking in Dr Martens: heat them gently with a hair dryer and put them on when they're still warm. Wear them around the house for a short time as they cool. Repeat this a few times, and voila! No pain!

God... I wish. I've had mine for over a decade and the fuckers still give me issues. My biggest suggestion is thick socks!! Always wear thick socks!!!
I had to return mine. Not only were they so stiff I could barely walk without looking like I was Forest Gump in leg braces, but they were incredibly heavy. For almost $200, I could find boots that not only look better, but are far more comfortable AND have a quick zipper access so I don't need to spend time lacing them and un lacing.

I must be the only person on the planet who had no issues breaking them in. They were never painful, just stiff, and they keep getting comfier and comfier each time I wear them!

IN DEFENSE of the Mario badescu facial spray... The ONE use I've found for it is dampening your face before applying hyaluronic acid. A lot of people don't realize hyaluronic acid needs to be applied to damp skin and this spray is great to prep for skin
But the same thing could be achieved with just water in a 1$ spray bottle.
I’d enjoy a candle ranking video. I love candles and to me it’s hard to find good ones that maybe don’t cost $50.
Re: the voluspa candles. If you still have the jars, see if there is a company in your area that has good candles and does a refill program. I found one in my city and now I have good candles in the cute containers!
I bought some Doc Martens last year and breaking in the heels specifically really hurt. So I went to WalMart, bought a padded bra from the discount bin, cut out the padding and gorilla glued them inside the heels. I haven't had a problem with blisters or pain at all really since I did that.
The fact that anyone would have to do anything so ridiculous for expensive shoes is crazy! But good idea though! 😂

I've had my pair of doc martens for over 10 years (wear them almost all year round) and I thought about buying another pair that has more of a platform, when I read these comments about the pain I am not so sure 😂 I cant remember if my fert hurt in the beginning bc it was so long ago

As someone who has owned multiple pairs of doc martins (and demonias that took 6 months to fully break in), I feel like they’re like tattoos. Just awful pain that you completely forget about once it’s gone because you love the end result so much.
exactly 😍 love my docs so much. once you get over the break in period they’re HELLA comfy, never get gross or smell bad, and they last forever!! my pair i wear EVERYDAY for work from 2017 is still good as new!

That is WILD because the rare beauty foundation is honestly one of my favorite! It looks incredible on my skin and I find it lasts on me for like 12-16 hours. Guess makeup really does work differently for everyone lol

I've broken in a few pair of Doc's.. the secret is filling ziploc bags with water, putting them in the boot and sticking them in them in the freezer. Then to let the ice melt, you need to prop the boots in such a way the bags won't leak and repeat a few times. The ice expanding should loosen them up to a wearable level within 3 or 4 cycles. love my Docs.
High heel crocs are simply Camp and I would take them with glee
to the doc martens situation: silicone heel guards. literal LIFE SAVERS, the only thing that worked for me (and i tried every single trick in the book lol).
I love that the picks aren't just "bad makeup/ bad things" but are petty, well though and specifically justified things that would make my worst enemy sigh of anger but wouldn't ruin their lives
I would recommend the Maybelline fit me loose setting powder or the milk loose setting powder to my enemy, so when they take pictures on new year's eve (with flash, of course) they'll have terrible flashback in all the pics. (Cue evil laughter)

the “this phone doesn’t accept this accessory” is usually because the dc power in your car is inconsistent. if you invest in a nicer 12v adapter (which will have what’s called a smoothing circuit in it) or wait until your car warms up to plug your phone in, that should solve the problem. 💜

i have a doc martens story lol i bought a pair last summer and tried to wear them but got such bad blisters that i literally did not put them on for a whole year.. however, i've been determined to break them in and it's going okay for me! what worked for me was just putting bandage tape (the one that's safe for your skin) on my heels and generally the skin at the back of my foot (around the heels and a little bit above them)
I bought USED white platform white heeled doc martens and I loooove them and they’re in great condition so I think the trick is Depop
I had a pair of docs when I was in high school, and I remember the sales associate told me to stuff them full of newspaper and leave them for a while, then wear them. I crumbed a bunch of magazine pages in them and left them for three days and I didn't have a breaking in horror story. I do that with all shoes that are uncomfortable now. Stuff them to stretch them out.
You can also put on a few pairs of thick socks and heat up the shoes with a hairdryer. Just be careful that you don’t burn yourself.

I own 3 pairs of doc martens, and I have only had one pair that was painful to break in. The weight of them helps straighten out my ankle and keep it from cramping.
Docs are super cute, and they last forever. I had a pair that I used for work shoes and they lasted for 6 years.

This is a brilliant video idea. I love Dr. Martens, I have two pairs of their Chelsea boots. My brown pair are completely broken in and super comfortable. I recently bought a Black pair and they were torture to break in. My one foot literally felt bruised but the trick is to keep wearing them because they are comfortable now. The other thing you can do is buy “preloved”shoes. I bought a pair of loafers at a thrift store and had no issues breaking them in.
I’m surprised about the Voluspa one!! My literal favorite candle is their Rose Otto one, i got it for Christmas bc i burned through my old ones so fast lol, It smells genuinely amazing like a rose garden and roses are my favorite scent and it fills up my whole room!! They are super expensive though which isn’t fun :’))

2. Off brand chargers are not something I’d buy for someone but mine have always lasted roughly the same length as the on brand ones. Do NOT get off brand dongles for connecting headphones, etc though unless you want to waste your money

Doc Marten tip: I sized up and personally I didn’t even have to break them in at all. I don’t know if this will work for anyone else but I’ve experienced no discomfort with my docs. I got the classic shape with the roses embroidered on it.

I always heard horror stories of breaking in docs. I got my first pair in September and didn't wear them until Oct cause I was scared lol. It was not as bad as I thought. 2 pair of socks, and a spare pair of shoes to switch to for the first few times and now they're sooo comfortable!!
