This is why you should consider dual-booting your system with a Linux distro of your choice. I say dual-boot because it gives you a smoother transition experience since anything you haven't learned to do in Linux that is time sensitive or frustrating to learn you can do in Windows until you learn it, and most Linux distros support dual-booting on install. I personally use Manjaro, so the first thing that comes up when booting is the option to boot into either Manjaro or Win10, with it remembering my setting so that without my input, it will boot into whichever was last used after a few seconds.

Alright, this is all kinds of fuqed up because if you didn't tick off the "allow edge to collect information from other browsers" at the very activation screen, you will ONLY be able to change the setting in Edge itself (hidden behind lots of confusing pathways, mind you. And the wording is also weird so you wouldn't realize it's the setting you're searching for unless you Google how to do it or you're just that good). So if they're preventing you from modifying Edge's settings, then you need to reinstall windows. If you don't, then Edge will farm you for all you're worth EVEN IF you're not actually using Edge.
