About Me;
My name is Zena and I'm a working mom. I'm so happy that you are here and if you're a working mom like me, I hope you find some inspiration. On this channel I want to share all of the things that I have learned and continue to learn in my career and being a mom. You can absolutely be an amazing wife and mother………. and have a rewarding career, if that's what you want to do.
I do not get to do this often enough right now but massage and facials are my most relaxing self care moments. Currently, since the pandemic, hiding in my bathroom for 15 minutes just to escape and recharge has been my go to :).
The pandemic has definitely made it tough to enjoy some of those relaxing activities. Hiding in the bathroom is a good one! Sometimes all we need is a few minutes alone ❤️
I’m with you on sleep! I had my second in 2022 and everyone has said “well, you’ll never sleep again”. It’s not true! I work and I’m a single mom & I STILL sleep at least 8 hours. I took a 3 hour nap with my daughter today. ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes! Sleep is so important. Good for you for making your well-being a priority ❤️
Same, that schedule is down packed! Now I have to work on things I used to do like my nails and hair etc.
I love this!
Get up an hour before everyone else... and do whatever I want for myself. Read, relax, shower, read a book, etc.
I love that! Great way to put yourself first ❤️
I need to do this more often!!
Self care/love is certainly most important. Me time is a must have !
I agree hon! Great to hear that you make sure you have that time to recharge 😚
Such a good video and so much value! Every word is so true! 🧡
So happy it resonated with you ❤️
Thanks for this Xena!
The guilt sets in when my kids want to play and I have things I need to do ! I block out time on my calendar to do something for me… it could be taking a bath, sitting alone browsing the web, stretching for 10 mins, painting my nails. Etc ❤
That’s so good! You know the things that make you feel like you and you’re making time for those things. Love it!
This was so good Zee! I journal often, get regular massages, and take long baths for self care. I love this message! ❤
Self care is so important. Glad to hear that you make it a priority!
Helpful info. Nicely presented. Thanks Zena.
Thank you so much for watching, Cherri!
I'm a SAHM but I love your video. I will exercise whether that is taking a walk, or doing exercise on a mat like sit ups, planks, yoga, etc... I'm also a very creative person which been hard with a little one but I need that creative outlet that's only mine. I know this video wasn't really for stay at home moms but I think it ring true to all moms. thanks for creating this video
Thank you so much for your comment. I agree, this video is a reminder for all moms ❤️
I had a great routine with self care, I would go to the gym and spa. However when I changed my job I am struggling with finding time for self care
Thanks so much for your comment, Afiya. A job transition can be really tough. I hope that you are able to find some time to recharge your batteries. Even if it’s just a few minutes everyday ❤️
Currently editing a video on mental health as a career mom and I stumbled on this. Thanks for sharing 💕💞💖
Thank you so much for watching, Amaka! I’ll check out your video when it’s posted ☺️
A nice bubble bath after a long day at work with all my smells good things for the body
That’s a great self care tip
Can you. PLEASE stop dividing moms into "working" and not? I've never worked so much since I became a stay at home mom and I was a busy physician! I've seen it and I wanna go back for some break from SO MUCH WORK AT HOME!
Not trying to divide moms and it's unfortunate that you took it that way. Being a SAHM is a lot of work and I would never try to minimize that. I hope you were able to find some value in what I shared and did not get stuck on the working mom title ❤
