Got jumped into Hurricane Ian, my 1st Cat. All I had prior to Ian was a bunch of construction experience and Adjustor pro all lines training for Arizona. Sooo...fortunate to have been housing with an old friend and 2 other seasoned adjusters. Going for my AZ certification now. Trained with my friend for a week and processed my own claims for 4 weeks. Learned Symbility first, now trying to learn xactimate. So happy I listened to my friend and got in!!!

Would you pick up the FL Pre-Licensing or the Total Adjuster Package?
Hi! I am about to sign up for my prelicensing here in Tx. They have pkg programs that include cacti Ste and maybe construction 101 and those type on pkgs. are they worth taking or is it better to get licensing training and exam only and take the other classes elsewhere? There seems to be a lot of training on your YT channel for instance and available at other places that might be better.
What tools/gear are needed? I live in the Pacific North West. Most of the work you mentioned is catastrophe jobs in the Midwest or South. What IA work is available in non-catastrophe areas? I would not mind traveling (flying) for a block of work. How feasible and profitable is that given the hotel/food/other cost involved in working remotely?
When you deploy are hotel cost out of pocket or do insurance companies cover that (or other) expenses?
I have many years of experience in various aspects of construction and own several properties (several with hurricane claims). I will be closing my primary business to retire. At age 60 and in very good physical condition do you see it practical to pursue this career as the next phase? Have motor home will travel.
