    0:00 introduction
    2:53 how standby works
    6:37 what gear you need
17:49 what to expect during orientation

    31:51 do you need training
32:36 how to get up to speed in Xactimate quickly
In this 2+ hour presentation, I'll be covering the most critical aspects of cat deployment property claims handling that will move the needle the most for you on your first major hurricane deployment.. And if you're already deployed on your first event, whether it's Isiais, Sally, or Laura.. or even the wildfires or the Iowa Derecho.. I'll give you some tips to get yourself out of trouble and caught up so that you can survive to the end of your first cat deployment ready to go on your next deployment.
Here are the topics I cover (with lots of tangents):
    - how standby works
    - what gear you need
    - what to expect during orientation
    - do you need a license?
    - do you need training
    - how to get up to speed in Xactimate quickly
    - how to delight your customers - even if you have to deny their claim
    - organizing your time
    - including how to prioritize all the many things you have to do every day
    - how to close claims faster
    - how to save time when importing and labeling photos
    - how to save time and never miss damage when scoping property losses
    - what is your number one goal when you're on site?
    adjustertvplus.com/programs/h...
    ❗️❗️❗️BONUS❗️❗️❗️
Complaints from a carrier storm manager who is overseeing a team of IAs:
    - Not returning phone calls promptly, even just to say I'm working on it
    - Not setting expectations and explain the process, especially ACV/RCV
    - Being rude to the customers that are paying your salary
    - When you know there's going to be a blow up, call the agent first and then call your supervisor BEFORE the customer calls them
    - I had a complaint today where adjuster was asking for receipts or pictures of an ice chest $90, patio furniture $500, grill $430. Loss location was in the middle of the eye of the hurricane. I asked him of he could provide me the same if a tornado blew his stuff away right now.
    He said no.
I said put it on the contents inventory form, depreciate it and pay it. Grrrr.....I know people take advantage of these situations but the personal property claim was $1500.
In other words, don't nitpick claims. Just do what makes sense. We spend more money arguing over a minor issue than it would take to pay the claim.
JUST PAY IT AND MOVE ON.

16:00 1. After showering, use a small amount of spray antiperspirant on your feet. 2. To keep your shoes from EVER having a foul odor, put alcohol in a spray bottle and spray shoes daily in the evening. The shoes will be dry by the morning, fresh and ready to use. 3. The Dollar Tree sells socks. You can have a brand new pair everyday for 2 weeks for less than the cost for a pack of socks at Target or Walmart. Happy Adjusting everyone 📋🔦

Darn Tough wool socks. As crazy as it sounds they are super durable, wick sweat and keep the odor down. Even on Texas roofs I've loved them. They are also lifetime guaranteed so if you get a hole you get a replacement.

I have an app that does all the measurments for me, it also automatically uploads the info into exactimate. This job is so easy I don't know what people complain about.

This was the video I truly needed, I crashed and burned as a newbie on my first deployment two weeks ago. I lasted a week before I went to my manager and then higher up and was flat out honest. They still have me on the standby list and was looking for ECTA positions as well. Everyone says take the money and wait until they fire you but I see something different, I want to make this a career vs some quick hustle and why not enjoy helping people in the midst!

I am on my first-ever deployment right now and I am struggling with the system and getting people scheduled. The whole system feels extremely redundant, and I am constantly forgetting simple things and tasks. It's hard having people telling you to make X and priority, but Y, Z and ¥ all need to be your #1 priority as well. Freaked me out yesterday so badly I started feeling like I had the flu. I'm very happy for the opertunity, but it feels like boot camp and I haven't even gotten onto a roof yet.

    Measuring laser.

      @AdjusterTV  Před 3 lety +1

Yes! But a person can certainly do claims with just a measuring tape. But you're right, a laser will cut interior inspection time in half, easily.

@@AdjusterTV Thanks for putting these videos up. You working Sally? I just got here from Lake Charles/Sulphur which as you obviously know is a mess. Ive been an adjuster since Harvey and have approximately 2.5-3k claims under my belt and wondering if you really think going to NACA convention is worth it? Thanks for your time Matt and stay safe out there!

Is 300 the minimum or the maximum per claim

    • @chrisc899
      @chrisc899 Před 2 lety

On majority claims with the. CAT fee schedules the Minimum would fall between $300-$350- on average $450-$500 and higher $600-$750 per claim - and provide the higher can also get higher as high as $1000+ per a claim and this is after the 60/40 split or the 65/35 split.
