In this video, you'll hear from industry veterans about what IA firms are looking for in applicants and the best way to get work as an IA.
As an independent adjuster, you're going to be faced with the dilemma of either working for just one firm - or diversifying and getting on the rosters at a bunch of firms.
There are pros and cons to doing both as a cat adjuster. But I would offer this suggestion: In my experience, I would get in really good with one IA firm for CAT. But if you're a daily adjuster and don't want to run cat, you'll actually NEED to be running claims for more than one firm in most cases. Make sense?
Now that we've got that out of the way, what are IA firms even looking for on your resume?
    Video Highlights:
First, Dave K, president of NACA and founder of 2021training.com on how to build your resume and conduct yourself on social media - because they're watching you.
Then you'll hear from the leadership team at the IA firm CCMS & Associates about what to bring to the table when applying at an IA firm.

Background is 15 years concrete and construction paired with 10 years tech support in the real estate industry.
What certifications are going to be most beneficial switching to an IA?
I see the xactimate level 1 mentioned in more than a couple videos, what are some others?
Gained a sub as I thought the information was very informative.

Thank you so much for this amazing video....btw I am still fairly new with limited experience I would be happy to work with and shadow an experienced adjuster in the DFW Tx area... I am not looking for a handout just some guidance so I can be successful in my new career. Anyone know of any mentorship programs or anything? All help is greatly appreciated. 🙂

You don't need a college degree, but a business degree would help you. adjustertv.com/vas is a great place to go.
