5 More Focus ST/RS Tips And Tricks For New Owners!!

After recieving so many comments on my 6 focus st tips and tricks video, I've decided to create a second version featuring some easier tips for new owners with help from my awesome subscribers!
Based on your feedback I was able to create this video showcasing 5 brand new tips and tricks for the focus st. These tips are widely known to those in the st and rs community but for new owners these might not be.

I just finished getting custom tuning done for my st. Stage 3 on e30! Its soo much more fun with these mods. Night and day from the stock st.
I'm still working on convincing the wife we need a Focus ST. I didn't realize you can turn the ESC all the way OFF. We've had other Foci and I was always bummed I couldn't whip sh**ties in the winter; ESC would step in and ruin the fun! But with the ST you can!! WOOOOOOO!!! Now I want one more than ever.
I hope you can convince her! It's a great car. You would definitely have so much fun with this car.
2:36 screen on radio says RS screen on drive cluster says ST.....which is it!?
Another thing you may want to mention, I haven't actually timed it exactly. But me and my wife have a date night every Sunday and when we drop the kids off at her sisters, I leave the car on while dropping them off. There was an instance where I left the car on, of course without having the key in the car, and about 10- 15 min later I came out and the car was off. Now I don't know if it's a timed situation or if it shuts off after just warming up, but I thought it was interesting. A way to conserve fuel I suppose.
Ahh so that's the time limit. I've never tested it. The setting is in the gauge cluster actually. I can't remember what the official name is when you find it. Auto off or Auto Stop or something.

Andrew Gauld I've had mine for 3 months now, awesome car but a little suggestion for you look in to getting a bluefin for it 😜
Agreed. Torque increase from Blue fin is insane and the power band is much bigger. With the blue fin peak torque is 507 nm. Thats more than the new Audi Rs 3. If you add in the Mountune air intake the car will happily run 300bhp. Ive had mine since June, best car ive ever ran.

The other thing with the light stalk is when you park at night flash your lights once exit the car and lock it the lights remain on in headlight mode so you can see where you are going, after around a minute the lights shut off.
My 2012 Ford Focus se headlights are always on no matter what. Auto mode or off the headlights are always on haha

The content is really good and useful, even on indian spec fords. But I really think that you mess up while explaining a certain topic. Making it too confusing to understand. Otherwise i love your videos, keep up the good stuff.

Haha I don't really drive too hard either but the cars been at 23.6mpg since I got it (a month now.) Mainly highway too which is crazy!
@@dshuffl3z249 aye red is the best color but I may be a little biased lol. And dang that's weird. My car is tuned I've heard that could definitely help with MPG.

In the Vehicle settings where you showed the Time Limit for the Auto lights to turn off, it shows "Manual". What's the point of that if all you need to do is pull back on the high beam stalk regardless of the Time Value set?? Is it more of a redundant function?
If set to "Manual" will the Auto Headlights stay on indefinitely until you manually pull back on the stalk? *Sidenote: Does the ST actually have an "Auto-Engine Off" feature where at a complete stop the engine will turn off until you take your foot off the brake to accelerate or does it do something else?? I have mine Off by the way.
If it's set to manual then the lights will not stay on when you turn the car off. But if you pull the stalk then it will turn on and off and it will turn off if you do not pull the stalk again to turn it off. Also, the ST in the US does not have the auto start stop function like the RS does. I believe some in Europe do however.
That auto engine off you see in the gauge cluster menu is for when the car has been idling for too long if I remember correctly.
TORQUE & TECH hmm..very interesting. I live in NC too. I'd rather have the lights turn off when the car is turned off. Seems like it might help prolong the life of the bulb. Thx for the info!!!

Hey thanks man! Not a dumb question, and yes the far right is the auto lights. Actually I think it looks a bit different on an ST1 vs the other packages (not sure which on you have) but if you see the A inside the light then you're on it.

+Charlie Times Hey if you check my Focus ST tips playlist I have some videos about changing themes. If you follow those you can do it as long as you have the Sync 3 system. You'll need a Windows computer, a program called FORScan and an OBD reader/programmer. I use the OBDLink MX.

Why have you got RS on the display of your ST ?
+K9 JSB it adds 50 horsepower lol. I changed it to the RS one and just haven't changed it back. I usually use the Ford GT theme.

+K9 JSB Man I wish. But I'm fine with the ST right now for sure. But for the next gen RS I'll be ready.

TORQUE & TECH I'm only interested in the next model if it's AWD, Full Manual, No Hybrid and a 5 door. I don't think all my requirements will be met again. All the best with you ST #MountuneThatBitch
Why did your car radio say RS but the speedometer said ST I own a st and know it shouldn’t say RS
Did you know if you leave your car running and you took your key fob inside your house then a few minutes passes then your engine turns off
Oh yeah. I've never actually tried it before but I've heard about it.
When it's cold outside and you want your vehicle to warm up for a few minutes it'll stay on but since the key fob is not inside the car engine will turn off then shortly after your radio will turn off as well give it a try let me know if yours does that

How come the RS logo shows on your navigation screen, but on your Tachometer, it says ST? Which vehicle do you currently have?
