I rented a 5'8 noa when I was in Portugal and I can say that it goes well in slightly overhead steeper waves and also works great in ankle to knee high down the line waves. Great review Noel

Sick review Noel. If you want to try another Australian shaper try Jason Rudd at JR surfboards and his tri-flex boards. They rip!!! You surf with power like Wade Carmichael and he shapes for him 🤙🤙

Nice review Noel. I think the 5'8 model looked the best. Lowers is such a mushy waves sometimes... i bet that board would really shine in some punky beach break. :)

It looks a lot like a higher performance rocket wide.
More entry rocker. Narrower nose. WP behind center. Better for 4 footers and bigger?

Hey Noel..I've asked a particular Q to many people and tried researching but all my finding are very vague and all different. Q: what exactly goes wrong when you ride a fish type board in bigger, steeper, more hollow and or more powerful surf ? Will it not trim well..will it get hung up on the top..or slide out at the bottom turn..or..?
I have a 5'10 seaside at 39liters..I'm only 5'7 and 160lbs. I like the overkill volume to get into waves early and the paddle..I can pump down the line pretty well and almost hit mini airs now. Growing g leaps and bounds with this board. The waves are usually waist high to head high..point breaks and beach breaks. Bigger steeper drops are hard to hold and/or hollow surf but I'm not sure if it's because I'm not that good of a surfer or..maybe it's an over kill of volume for my weight..mayne I still have a bad habit of not putting enough weight on my back foot and engaging the fins..or..is it cuz it's a fish? Help:/

your board will be hard to turn when waves are too big, and it will feel like its out of control.. not comfortable.
more volume usually restricts the movement of the board, instead of doing snappy turns the board can respond slower.
Those seasides are one of the best boards around and very versatile.. but the better you get, the less board you want in the water unless board is too small then you have a dumb surf..
bigger wave boards might have a round tail, to slow you down a bit, as you dont need speed because the waves are fast and powerful already.. they also might have more rocker, which also slows board down a bit, but enables better turning.. more fluid and reactive..

Hey noel, really good video as always man. I would like to know if you think a custom pyzalien 2 5’10 with 26,5L would work. I’m searching for a daily driver board that I can use it a little bit longer. I’m 5’11 and 146 lbs. Thanks man, the videos are awesome
