    Ive got one of the original 5’8 diamond tail flax twinnies and wouldn’t recommend the construction. Its very light and great fun to ride but I’m constantly repairing it. Small shin or elbow strikes shatter the glass, ive put my knee through the deck duck diving, creased it under my feet in a small barrel from the foam ball coming up or a bit of backwash, and blew two rails on a float when it rolled into my shins , never had so much damage on a board before and I’m not a heavy footed or aggressive surfer. If i touch it when wiping out I’ve usually got a ding. Heavy pressure dings on the deck have cracked. Ive had the snap repaired and still ride it as its fun, but would try the fx construction if buying again or this. Repairer had never seen a board damage so easily. Its a shame as its a great fun board but the constant repairs put a damper on it, and make me reconsider taking it out.
    I ride with the fcs MRs, trailer in when onshore or not as clean conditions to give it a bit more control. They suit it really well.

    Absolutely loving my twinny with the captain fin co twin set with trailer. Board seems very durable too. Thanks for the board review content, keep em coming!

    Have one of these myself and love it. I run mine with the captain fin Chippa Wilson/npj twin set and feel it's a great matchup. Sounds like they would be a bit similar to your hp twin set, they have a wide base and alot of surface area but are pretty upright

    That board was looking super spicy & quick. Looked like you were dialed in on both board’s & fin setups! 🙌

    Hey Noel, can you please try the mink system diffusers and do a review video to let us know if it's actually real or just snake oil? 🙏🏽

    Congratulations for your detailed reviews Noel, they're very helpful.
    How do you compare the twinny with the BV2?
    And do you have release date for the Mashup review?
    Thx a lot.

      @surfnshowreviews7777  Před 2 lety +2

      The BV2 is more of a Groveler and it offers more speed and a little better in bigger waves. The Twinny has a classic twin fin outline but shreds with a bit more performance and pivot.

    Was surprised how well it held on the backhand as a pure twin, until I checked out the size of your HP Twins. Those fins are huge! Seem to work perfectly though. What wave range would you say that the HP Twins are the fin of choice for ?

      @surfnshowreviews7777  Před 2 lety +2

      You can push my HP Twins in 1-6’+ surf. I rode them in the CI Twin Pin in solid overhead surf and they went mental. The drive, hold, pivot, and release is next level…, so fun.

    Are you going to review the happy everyday?

    Hi Noel, do you think this board has a big sweet spot? If you went for a 5'3 or smaller, would the rocker still acomodate the front foot position?
    Great review as aways

    Great review as always!
    Picked up a Lib Tech Hydra 37.5L after watching your review. Would like to pair it with something for 3 - 6 ft+ Florida beach break waves.
    What would you recommend between the El Tomo Fish, FE, or Inferno 72?

    I have this in brown-wooden color on the top. Does anyone have the same experience that it turns a bit purple or pink in the sunlight?? I know it's weird but it really does that.

    Did it feel better than the rusty v cup bottom twin?

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question…, the Rusty offers a bit more performance due to it having more rocker and high performance outline. The Rusty has more traction in bigger waves too.

    Will you be able to review the Firewire Mashup please?

    IMHO a board named "Twinnie" should be just that .......
