Thanks, michael. I am setting up a small buffer tank and am installing a hudson valve and this has been really helpful. I am intending to attach the valve to the cap on my tank. Is that a mistake? Im thinking it raises it up a bit more and makes it easy to access if needed. Im open to being wrong...
Yeah did it work?
Curious how it turned out as well.
Great job making it easy for everyone to understand. I spent 19 years down the road from you in Louisville. Kentucky is my home away from home, so I had to show you some love.
Thanks
Stay safe!!!
I use your ball valve set up. It is awesome! Thanks! Will you share how to remove Oxidation Tiger Stripes from Aluminum Gutters? And, removing tree sap from aluminum siding, without removing the paint. Love your videos. time for some more.
Your video helped me a lot. I didn't know that Hudson valves existed. I pictured myself either staring at a slowly filling tank or (more likely wandering off and forgetting about it and it flooding my brand new trailer) Thanks! Get out on that Harley!
You could put in another bulkhead hooked to a hose for an overflow drain. Sometimes these valves don’t shut off 100 percent.
Thanks for the video!
Great. Used this video today. Thanks.
Want to use this for a storm drain catchment to fill drum. However, I'm wondering if I'll have problem of it staying slightly open. My main aim of using it is to separate the first runoff from my stored water.
Might work
Is this works from ground pressure water to stop water coming from outside sources?
so i use a 275 gallon tote because im off site washing my company’s tractor trailers on the side… about 7 trucks every 2 weeks…and i fill the tank just alittle over half as not to be over weight … i may be get into washing gas stations..question?? to fill the tank i can put a splitter 1 to fill the tank for off site and 2 to put the hudson on and fill tank maybe half way.. .. can i install the hudson on a down tube so i do fill tank… or just use another tank on trailer??? thanks
None of the bulkhead fittings I’ve purchased have the plastic washer that goes on the outside of the tank. Is that a problem? I’ve got 3 different sizes and 3 different brands (one Banjo), and none came with that piece. They only have the rubber one for the inside of the tank.
Hi Mike Great video. I get how to do it now. I know you are a busy guy but I have one quick question. I want to connect two 55 gallon drums together with PVC pipes connecting the two at the bottoms of the drums. Now question is will the water fill up drum number 2 first and them the float valve stops the water when drum number 1 fills up to the valve level?.....I hope I was clear with the question. Thanks a mil
if theyre both vented they will both fill up if you have em set up right
Yeah they should fill at the same time if vented.
Michael, have you got a link where I can buy one of those? Not sure they're sold over here.
Thanks
Hmmm, they only ship to the contiguous 48 US states.
BlastAwayManchester Check out ebay.
Tractor supply sells them
Will this work on a rain barrel?
Yeah as long as it’s going to screw on lid
Can someone help me, I have a HFV in my tank it's the second one in 3 jobs. It's not working causing my tank to overfill
Make sure there no trash in it
I've cleaned it out and all Jason and I still can't get it to work buddy
Got it to work.
@@HouseWashingRick3 years later 😂
