so tonight i decided to actually follow/draw/paint along for the first time! i have always admired your lines and choices of colours. mostly i am interested in what you leave OUT, actually :)
i basically drew along without the reference picture and as expected it turned out quite differently, but i think if i continue this way, i might slowly get the hang of it and develop my own style.
i've been watching your videos for years now and i will be forever grateful for the tip with the fountain pen inks! that was a game changer for me, since i have always loved ink drawings, but always hesitated to break out the ink bottle and tips and pens ( and lots of tissues for the mess!)
i will have to play around with a new and softer tip ( i use my old waterman fountain pen), because i like it, when the lines vary in thickness, but all in all i am soooo happy, because now i can instantly draw in situ and color in later :)
thanks for your great work and positive teaching style and greetings from berlin, germany :)
Thanks for this. Watching you paint is both relaxing and educational, and I appreciate you. 😊
Your choice of colours is always on point! Someone asked in the last video for an advice on how to render night scenes so I wanted to remind you if you can do a tutorial on that ;)
Honestly you have such an amazing style. Thank you for making these videos.
This is my favourite sketch now!!! Teoh this one is amazing, well all of your sketches are but the hue/saturation/vibrancy s p o k e to me 😭
I love this color combination! Excellent video! Thanks Teoh!
As always, I love your videos and watching you paint it is so educational and I just enjoy your style.
This is a stunning colour palette!!
Beautiful
Ohhh, I love the moody atmosphere that the granulation creates !!
Beautiful piece! Love the layout and the palette!
Now for a Cadmium palette!
Beautiful sketch! Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the colors
These colors have nice granulation" I think I like the cobalt turquoise best as far as Forrest scenes for trees and foilage, I like the reds granulation as well "
That accualy looks really cool🔥!!
Beautiful. Thank you.
Nicely done. 👍😁 Really the like your color choices and the shadow colors.
Great job!
Cool !!
nice drowing !
I love your tutorial.
Its so inspiring
I love cobalt colors and am especially wanting to try out the kremer pigments cobalt blue dark ever since your video on it earlier... kind of random, but have you ever thought about doing a redraw? Maybe on one of your first sketchbook drawings or paintings?
wow! Do you take any students in Singapore? You are amazing!
I don't reach classes. But I do have online courses at gumroad.com/parkablogs
Nice !! Do u face any issues when using fountain pen on a textured paper like watercolor paper - like fibers clogging nib ?
Not really. If you use extra fine nib, just make sure you don't scratch the paper.
Theo do a painting on a graph sheet.
Do you mean graph paper with grids on it? Why would he try to do watercolor on that, it would fall apart.
Teoh, I can't find where you told us what the size of page on this sketchbook is: 5.5" x 8"? Appears a tad larger... Thanks!
This is around A5 size, about the size you listed.
I have a question, when I fill a half pan with Daniel Smith watercolor is it normal that it takes the entire tube to fill a half pan?
The half pan only has a 2ml capacity. So a 5ml tube can fill it almost twice. Also, some paint will shrink more and fill even less.
Teoh Yi Chie thanks
I’d be interested in buying some paints off of you. Do you still have them left?
You can see the colours I’m selling on the list and contact me there www.parkablogs.com/content/watercolour-paint-sale
Are you Vietnamese??
