i love the free hand style of drawings with the little imperfections...everything does not need to be even or perfect....
I appreciate how you talk through your sketching process, letting us know what you're thinking as you're drawing. It helps me for when I'm trying to begin a sketch or when I get stuck as I'm making a drawing. Also, I appreciate how you name when something is difficult for you.
Thank you so much for this video!
Nice drawing of the photo " I think it does take lots of patients to draw even reference sketches , but even more when you actually looking at a object or scenery, I love how you can do lose or tight sketches of things
I love when you talk about your thought process it helps a lot ^^ thanks Teoh!
Always great videos! I enjoy watching you sketch! helps me learn how to do my sketches.
These kind of videos are really useful to understand your technique. Thank you!
Love your loose sketching style and how you make such complicated scenery looks simple. 💐🌵🍒
Great example of how to approach a complicated detailed scene! Thanks.
Really like that scene. Nice composition and sketch. 👍😀
Hi Teoh, this is a great video and very helpful. All your works are amazing. Just an idea for your next video, can you please show us how do you draw and paint a night scene? Like the the colours that you will use for the sky. Really appreciate if you could do it.
I am very impressed with how confident you are with you lines. Despite the imperfections, it still looks very good. I could never draw directly with ink, it makes me anxious so much that it hinders me from drawing something complex.
Thanks for this.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I'm new to the watercolor medium and I find your reviews and tutorial helpful. Thanks for helping new beginners like myself.
Omg I'm Vietnamese and I love your artwork ❤️❤️
I’ll say it again your line technique provokes my anxiety. I need to get you a ruler. 😬 but I always love the outcome it’s very characteristic and fun 😂😂😂😂
Good one - just keep going, even when you make a mistake.....good advice for watercolor and beyond :)
Beautiful

I admire your technique, even the mistake.
I would love to draw in Hanoi. I’ve been to Saigon and Châu doc in the south
Nice
Fascinating, as always! It looks like you hold your fountain pen a bit farther back than you might for regular writing. Is this intentional (to keep the lines looser) or just a personal preference?
This is so that my palm doesn't touch the ink, and my hand doesn't block the camera
@@teohyc Thanks for explaining! I, too, have had problems with smudging the ink with my palm so I'm going to try drawing holding the pen further back. :-)
Someone please let me know if there's a Pinterest board with references like this

Is it fine flex or medium flex???
Fine flex
With I was as good as yup
copying photo not really street sketching. its not from you unreferenced perspective
This is just for teaching purposes. Even if I make an outdoor tutorial, the scene you'll see is still through a camera with lens distortion.
@@teohyc yes still nice drawing anyway" i ant dissing" ...just i dont copy from photos anymore maybe 10 years now my picture dont need to obey the lens of a camera our picture are a window to a different reality it my observations which brings my drawings to life and make them feel like they tell a story or are lived in worlds ...but more out side drawings would be nice to see as live perspective is a different skill then following the line on a photo ......anyway thank you for the reply i will sub and watch more videos
