    Great video! I currently use the 8800L and the Inseego5G going into my Slate router running Speedify. I have the 8800 connecting to the Slate via WiFi so I can keep power to my 8800. I cannot figure out a way to connect the 8800 to the Slate (wired) and provide power to the 8800 at the same time. I've tried a few adapters with no luck. If anyone knows of any ideas, I'd be willing to listen. Thanks again for all your help! Love the videos!

    Good tips.
    I've been connecting my data modem through the slate router WAN port then to my control device via wifi, some streams are perfect others i have issues not sure if its the location im in or equipment connection.
    During the off season I'll try your connections.

      I have. I use LumaFusion for iPad. It’s a pain to scrub thru and cut just one player but you develop a groove. Streaming via SideLineHD is much better for player clips. They produce them and send them to you or you can find them on your team’s home at their site.

    Question using single Mevo and iPad with 5G. With stage manager, and the Mevo start, can I technically stream and score on GC with the same iPad

  • @erikpaullive
    @erikpaullive Před rokem

    Music...absolutely add music. There is a killer product that is in beta right now that, when it is ready, I'll do a review of it. It essentially allows you to upload music into a folder, and then you can mark in and out points on the song (for walk up music) and then with a tap it will turn on that specific song cued to your mark in spot and stop it at the mark out spot. You can also do this for mid-inning music. It is wirelessly controlled from multiple devices, such as a phone, and so you can plug this into the back of a mevo or an audio cheap audio mixer.
    So, you will have all your players' walk up music in the run down ready to go, and then mid inning music lower in the run down that you can select. It works right now with a windows or mac, but the raspberry pi version (which is what we will all want to use) is still not ready.
    Currently I do this with a VLC playlist, but that's a hack job.

      You peaked my curiosity…I use multiple Mevos for my daughter’s softball games. I have a separate iPod I use for Ballpark DJ walkup songs, which play through a separate Monster Bluetooth speaker. Any idea if there is a way I could input the walkup music into the Mevo cam / Multicam setup directly, getting crisp, clear sound for the broadcast, while also going through the speaker via Bluetooth?

    • @erikpaullive

      @@jr13030 sure, audio mixer or headphone splitter. You might get a reverb effect due to audio delay, but I haven't tried it with a mevo. Give it a try and see what happens.

    I use 880 to slate via Wi-Fi and sometimes wired depending if the slate picks up the wired connections but I have been running into my feeds not being so great at times or either my GoPro overheats and shuts down. Any suggestions or fixes

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  Před rokem

      When you say your feed not being so great are you talking about image quality, freezing or something else? GoPro overheating is a common problem for streaming. Only solution I now of is to remove the battery and power it externally.

    I can 100% confirm the benefit of going from mifi to router. I run my Netgear M6 in to my slate and its a rock solid connection. My question is this. Do you have any insight on how to run multiple axt1800's (as extenders) that would still allow me to run mevo multicam. My test over the weekend failed because my control device (ipad pro) can only connect to one SSID at a time thus not connecting to the camera tied to the extender...This streaming stuff is addicting...

    • @JasonHoffmanYT

    • @Michael-ll3rk
      @Michael-ll3rk Před rokem

      @@JasonHoffmanYT my fear on running multiple slates is that unless you are tethered with an Ethernet and running the 2nd router as an access point, the control device will never see the cameras on the 2nd router. Jason, I am about at my whits' end with my HS baseball streams....and it is playoff time! The harder I try, the worse things get! Tonight I tried to "hardwire" the device running multicam using an ethernet to usb-c adapter out of my travel router. The multicam app didn't seem to even recognize that the streams had dropped but messages from GC and Sideline HD kept telling be there was an issue. Quality isn't great on the recorded streams. How critical is the actual device being used to run multicam to the process? I don't know if it's Internet signal or the multicam device. We are smack dab in the middle of Austin,TX so signal shouldn't be a problem? I've also tried using speedify to bond Tmobile from the multicam device and the tethered hot spot. Any ideas?

      Check out tonight's failed attempts at a stream on my channel.

    • @Michael-ll3rk
      @Michael-ll3rk Před rokem +1

      I feel your pain. Here is my input from my failed attempts. Maybe some of it will help.
      1:) the ability for the control device to maintain a connection is hugely important to maintain control over the cameras especially using multicam. I tried using my daughters old ipad mini and after 50-60 ft id lose the connection to my router. Now if you have a camera connected via ethernet that should not interrupt your livestream, but if you have a camera connected using wifi, ive found that once multicam loses the connection, your livestream dies. I upgraded to an ipad pro (and also my iphone 13 pro max) have no trouble keeping a connection while using multicam.
      2.) I have to use the mevo single cam app to set the connection type of the camera. Meaning i first go into single cam, make sure the connection type is recognized as "ethernet" then when i switch over to multicam, it sees it as an ethernet connection. I havent found a way to change the network connection directly in multicam. Maybe someone else can help there as it would greatly help me as well.
      Finally, just to stress point 1 above. the control device is doing all the heavy lifting with multicam, including the power needed to encode (based on what i think i know :) Older devices have definitely struggled to keep up in my experience which is why i have tried to remove the bottlenecks by keeping all the connections to my router and leaving my mifi to simply provide the internet connection and using the most powerful control device i can fit in my budget.
      This stuff is not easy but good luck!

    • @BearBaseballDad
      @BearBaseballDad Před rokem

      @Michael Thanks for your help and insight. For clarification, do you connect your mevo via direct ethernet connection and run it as an access point or via the "wifi" option? I just found a video Jason did trying to hook up 6 mevos to an iPad, iPad mini, and a Samsung Tab A7. The Samsung had problems recognizing the 6th camera and lagged when it did. Looks like my control device could be the culprit.

    • @Michael-ll3rk
      @Michael-ll3rk Před rokem

      @@BearBaseballDad I connect one to my router via ethernet and the rest are connected to my router via wifi. i do not run the mvo as an access point as i understand that they can only handle distances of up to 100ft. That is why i wanted to explore added another axt1800 as an extension to the wifi range and connect additional mevo cameras to the extender. Im still working through that. Yes, i saw Jasons video testing the 3 different control devices. Based on your symptoms and what I have experienced, i agree that the control device seems like your most likely culprit
